  1. Nice concept.  The water seems gross and swampy, hence the reeds.  Amongst the decay and rot I find a single flower.  May it be a symbol of life.... Love it.

I love the realisation of the scene.  After the contest perhaps you can explain why you chose to use fire instead of water.  The concept is super creative.

  3. Ahh, young Zoraida before she became the voodoo, doll obsessed hag that we adore.  If those are hand sculpted roses they are...WOW.  If not they are still amazing.  Would like to know exactly how many there are and if there is a significance in the number.  13, 33. :D.

  4. Rain drops are falling on my head...Your pillows will soon be turning red, feeling all the dread....  Nice choice for model and well done.  The water droplets create a sense of frozen time.  Nice.

  5. I love the concept.  It is dark and grim but if we reread the quote for the April Showers competition, the quote is grim.  The water hose spraying forth and the "dead" flowers.  Difficult to imagine the scale since Candy is such a tiny lass.  Amazing.

  6. Well done but difficult to see the showers and/or flowers.  The angle of the image?  A difficult model to paint, so much detail and hard to reach places.

  7. Within darkness there is light...A small flower radiates forth, bringing life and rebirth.  I would like to achieve OSL like this.  Great job.

  8. This is a superb model with amazing blending and highlights.  I am however having difficulty feeling the April Showers theme.  Maybe the colour of the flowers are not contrasted enough.  Amazing job.

  9. Can almost hear the sound of the footsteps in the puddle and the crack of the thunder.  The lightning is almost blinding and is reflected into the backdrop.  Wow.

  10. I had to zoom in to see that those are lily pads floating around her with dark leaves and flowers.  Amazing detail.  The freehand on the dress is top.

  11. This is an amazing entry.  Really need to zoom in to see all of the details on the fish and the transitions on the skin.  So lifelike and so much simple detail.  Bravo.

So many details.  The movement of the waterfal, the flowers and the water.  Can almost see little fish in there but the image is too small. :(.  Great job.

This feels so simple but it draws my eyes throughout the model.  I love the feeling of movement and light contrasted with the dark base.  I might need to steal this idea.  Fantastic.

  15. I love the concept and realisation.  You nailed the idea and theme that you wanted with the gardener defending his flower beds and becoming El Jardinero Grandé.  Amazing.
