I think that’s a misleading explanation of the issue.
I wasn't trying to explain the issue, just state that there are multiple interpretations.

- When resolving, increase damage.
- Then, Place.
That "Then" could be instructing players to wait until the damage is fully resolved before moving the model... There are other triggers that delay effects but they are a bit more explicit about the timing (the unbury condition in Glimpse the Void for example).
That sums it up very well.

Something I found out when using Titania's crew against Pere Ravage and his demise ability. Her "Into Thorns" trigger happens before the demise happens. So you can kill him and then throw him into the rest of his crew, away from yours and then have him blow up. Use it against them.
I don't think my opponent will take him against Titania again, lol
There is some disagreement about that timing though so use caution. I think it's a valid reading, but I play that the move happens after the damage e.g. you don't get the move if you kill the target. It could go either way, but I play to more conservative route so I don't get into a bad spot if a TO disagrees.

Thank you for the replies! I see that the simultaneous/sequenced effects are a big cause of confusion right now (I dove into the L&L thread ). With that in mind, it seems like there really isn't a straightforward answer to this question until FAQ clears things up. Based on what has been said here, and some follow up reading, here's my current opinion:
I'm pretty sure the trigger isn't meant to be broken up into multiple "effects". However, I think I am interpreting "Then" as an signpost to apply the effects after damage has been suffered. Note that the damage timing intro says "When a model suffers damage, it follows the damage structure below." Which leads me to think that "suffers +X damage" should be interpreted as resolving the entire damage timing sequence before moving on to the rest of the trigger.
Looking through all the "When resolving..." triggers I could find, the only ones with movement effects tacked on are Into Thorns and Blinded by Iron. Almost everything else is just damage modification. Both of these triggers are use "then" to separate the movement effect.
I think the intended design is for the movement to happen after the damage. All the attack-trigger movement I've found is happening after damage. For example, "You're Comin' with Me" would definitely not resolve if the model was killed by the original attack. Contextually, I think it makes sense that the movement portions of Into Thorns/Blinded by Iron happen after damage is suffered, and therefore won't resolve if the target is killed by the attack.

Hello all,
I've been playing Titania as my first crew, and I'd like to nail down my understanding of the all-important Into Thorns trigger. Specifically, when the place occurs.
The trigger is written: "Target must be within 2" of any Underbrush Marker. When resolving, the target suffers +1 damage. Then, Place the target into base contact with an Underbrush Marker withing 2" of it."
Step 2 of damage timing states "Any 'when resolving' Triggers that reduce damage resolve at this point."
Does the Place effect from Into Thorns happen at Step 2 in addition to the +1 damage? If so, Into Thorns can move the target before damage reduction or reducing health happens. That has some big implications for Dig, or moving models into/out of aura and such before they actually take the damage. However, because of "Then," in the trigger, I could see where the place is supposed to happen after damage is fully resolved (which is how I've been playing it so far).

My gut reaction to this is yes.
I think we have the most min 3 models in the game, but they are still priced as min 3 models and so it's not often practical to load up on them.
