I am neither skilled nor do I understand anything about the game's balance.

    Thanks for you input.

But, as you said yourself: It's quite a lot. You don't know much about the game. So, I personally have to admit that I don't consider most of your input based enough to spend too much time on it.

You hiring idea alone makes things even more complicated, which isn't helpful as the hiring process already is part of the game as in play-time.

But I appreciate sharing your ideas.

  2. I like Silent Protector a lot.

Hard to Kill is just good. Challenge can easily mess with the opponent's plans. And same goes for Take the Hit.

It's a great package that can often keep the opponent from making the kill when he needs to.

Masked Agent has a combo on it. It's not completely easy to exploit it but having the option is nice.

  3. Thanks for the input.

Tbh, the more I think about the application of AI for miniature painting in the way as you describe it, the less likely I see it happen. AI requires one thing most of all: a ton load of data. And that simply isn't available (yet?) about our hobby.

If you search for inspiration for the most popular brand in our hobby of miniature gaming/painting the number of results is surprisingly small. Too small for AI to do much about it that will lead to any helpful results.

I'm also not too sure if I'd be too happy if any of such applications as it easily might increase the pressure on the actual creators. More digitilization in any way means more options for stealing the intellectual property of the companies creating our wonderful dollies.

Using AI for creating themes and color swatches etc definitely might offer a huge numer of inspirations, though.

I'll be picking up the Molly core at the same time if that helps, and probably most of her keyword over time.

As for the mindless zombies, I was more wondering about making sure I had the models since Anna summons them, or is that irregular enough to not be a major concern?

You kinda can force it. But in most cases it's not really worth the effort. If it happens, it's really nice but it's not something that will be your major goal in most games (if you play to win the game).
It's just too many requirements: has to be a living target + has to be the killing shot + (most importantly) Anna not having something more important on her task list.

I summon a MZ roughly every other game.

  5. I know that there soon might be a chance to get it with a Halloween/Black Friday offer at Wyrd.
But friend and I want to start a campaign (in an Asylum), so I just thought it might be worth a try:

If anyone owns and is willing to trade a translucent Pandora Crew, please, let me know.

Best case on sprue but assembled might also be fine.

    Thanks.

  6. Sometimes, we are an uneven number of players but still want to play Malifaux.

Do any of you have any suggestions, recommendations, or even prepared rules for scenarios, rules, etc?

I already did a few 3 player games with a "strike left" mode: for scoring the opponent to your left counts as your opponent; you strike left and defend to the right.
It needs some adjustments with Strats and Schemes but works quite good. There's a fixed deployment, of course (see below).
But I'd really appreciate to get some ideas from players with more experience than me.

Edit: We are using this deployment for 3 player games:

I painted an Avatar of Zoraida, and a slew of roses to go along with it. It wasn’t successful in winning anything, but I had fun doing it! The flowers are all 3D printed, which was a bit of a learning curve!

Nice implementation of the roses. I have the exact same set of roses in various sizes set and ready for my Titania + crew and looking forward to get to her crew after all the other 'musts' on my painting schedule (so many miniatures, so little time - in case any of you didn't recognize, yet).

Yeah, but that just makes it even more awkward to prepare "here's several different ways of playing the rules. Good luck figuring out which one you're playing when you visit the neighbouring city!"

Which will absolutely be the case considering the route Wyrd is going (GG2, Titles) - we already kinda have this situation, now when it comes to dual Masters and it will increase; maybe even exponentially.

While it's no big deal for competitive play (rules/variables for the mode are usually officially anounced before) it might become a relevant issue when trying to promote the game and/or geht/keep in touch with other metas.
