What beasts do you shift Myranda into?

The wording of the in the crew builder suggests you could shift into "The Beast Within", who could then shift into Vogel, and then back into Myranda. Gives you a load of free heals, but not sure how useful it is (or if it was intended).

From the comments here, I think my best bet is to get whichever master I see cheap, and then I can explore options from there. It does look like I'm going to want lots of options!

I'm new to Malifaux, planning on starting as the m3e book is released.

I really like the Arachnid models, and was looking at making an Arcanist crew around them. With Ramos part of dead mans hand, whats a good alternative?

I was thinking about Colette since I want to make a puppet crew as well. Several Mannequin's,  mecharachnids, and steam arachnids. The mannequins could make use of the extra movement to get into position, and then the mech's can swap places where needed. Mannaquins can also provide scrap markers for boosts to arachnids.

I quite like Marcus too, and as hes a dual master with Neverborn, he might also work well for me... (plus Scorpius doesn't cost extra with him)

(I've downloaded the M2E rulebook, but mostly been using the m3e crew builder for ideas)

Thanks for the quick responses! I've been watching eBay and a FB trading group just to throw together enough models I like to trial the game, but at the same time I want to buy stuff that makes sense with future releases.

I'm new to Malifaux, looking to make puppet and guard crews. I have lots of questions:

When Law and Order gets rereleased what do you think the box will contain? With Dashel now a master will he get replaced by agent 46? And the two patrol, do you think they will be swapped for mimics or elites?

And will Barker get his own crew box?

With the puppet master 'gonec, is there going to be a new puppet crew box? Or will the puppet keyword be left for a henchmen leader (Hinamatsu, who has her lone box on the release schedule).

And final question, will units with the versatile keyword be released alone, and most keyword units in crew boxes?
