Means it doesn't work. Beeline requires the replacing pig be of a higher Cost and *Size*.

    If it's Sz3, it can't replace into Sz3.

The wording is 'Higher cost and size equal to the targets size + X where X is the number of models with burning the target moved through this way'

    Higher cost is 1 Requirment.

And Size equal to the targets size + X is a separate requirement.

This way you can turn Sqealers into Wild boars to.

  2. Hi Everyone! Been smashing out some Ulix 2 Games recently and wanted to share some fun tricks I have come up with and see what you all have been doing!

So first of I have taken to hiring q Squealer in a Gillie Suit in Ulix 2.

It comes out to 7 Stones total. But more importantly it makes the Squealer a size 3 Pig.

This means Ulix can replace it with a warpig without it having to pass through burning models.

    As 3+X = 3 when X=0.

This saves you the trouble of having to light your own models on fire turn 1.

2nd I have been running Twelve cups of coffee on Ulix 2 So he gains access to mark territory.
This combined with a couple of well placed Piglets interacting for scheme markers allows Ulix 2 to pop of two attacks turn one with a +to hit and a ++ to damage from Old Major. That coupled with the possible adversary benefits for his 2nd and 3rd attack tend to lead to an easy turn one kill.

This does sacrifice a turn 1 warpig by using your bonus for mark territory.

Has anyone else been trying these? And what other fun ideas do you have?

  3. Have you heard of the Pesant Railgun? Get ready for the Swampfiend Railgun.

Using Zoraida 2s Moth Witch ability you can do some very stupid stuff.

For example, In Corrupted idols, if Zoraida is 1' away from the model holding the load stone, she uses interact to throw the load stone to a model 6' away. She discards 2 cards as part of this to allow the model which now has the load stone to throw it 6' as well as that new model to also throw the load stone a further 6' to a final model. This works because each action must be fully resolved before the next one occurs. All up assuming all the models are on 30mm bases you have netted yourself 23inches of load stone movement if its all in a strait line.

This is an extreme example of the Swampfiend Railgun. But it is quite useful in other strategies to, In Break the line it can allow you to throw the same marker multiple times for 1 Ap if your models are positioned correctly. Quickly placing it past the 8' mark, or just making it to difficult for your opponent to return the marker.

Curious if anyone else has cooked this up and been using it in their games?

  4. The only models in your own crew who want HUGE poison counts are Whiskey Gamin3 (For Speed) Drunken River Monks (For damage reduction and the occasional Ram) and Brewy since he can stone for the Ram and can reliably cheat thanks to his obscene stats agaist poisoned enemies to get a Ram.

Everybody else commonly only wants poison 3 or so in order to be lurable. Remember that using yiur trust flask will let you maintain your poison level over the course of a turn. But never realy help you gain any unless your using it strait away

  5. Hey all! A friend of mine pointed out this rulling in the FAQ

The query is since this rulling specifies that once per activation effects cannot occur outside of an activation.

And the wording of A Por El specifies that it happens 'after this model ends its activation

That the action generated from A Por El cannot be concentrate, and cannot use the familey values trigger or any other once per activation effect.

I would realy love any input to refute this as it hurts the family keyword a lot but as it stands the rulling seem consistent.

  6. Hi all! Ran into an interesting rules conundrum.

If a model holdn the load stone in corrupted idols comes under the effect of an Asylum models 'Restraints: Enemy models engaged by this model with the staggered condition are ignored by their controller for the purpose of schemes and strats' what happens?

It's pretty clear that the concerned model cpuld not score at the end of the turn. Nor could it use or be targeted by the stratagy spesific interact.

But what happens to the loadstone?

Does it remain locked on the model? Or does it move to the nearest model as if that model died or was burried.

  7. Hey all! I recently started an experiment which I shared over on FB and thought you all might appreciate here.

As the title suggests, I was trying to get as much Poison on my own Brewmaster Crew turn one. I have taken Brewy to multiple events with great success and definitely do not recommend this in an actual competitive game. But as an experiment and challenge I thought it was a lot of fun!

I am keen to see if anyone can come up with a way to improve this number or an alternate method! :)

Let me know what you all think! What other excessive stratagys or funny meme strats can you all come up with (Like the 21 Inch Threat Range 3 Attacks Focus 3 Whiskey Golem)

  8. We ran into a rules debate when Molly used lost knowledge to draw 2 cards gpi ng over the maximum hand size. After the action resolves Molly's player is obligated to discard down to the maximum hand size.

Does this sound as Molly discarding the card (thereby triggering Fading) or not?

We could see both interpretations from this wording in the rulebook under the control hand section. (Pg13 in the app)

But could find no other ruling.

  9. Hi all! New Resser player here and apologise if this topic has been covered somewhere else but I couldn't find it!

I was curious about the interactions between Mindless Zombies and Corpse Candles (Which are insignificant) counting as corpse markers for the abilities and actions of friendly models.

And Grave Diggers and Mourners both can count Corpse Markers as Scheme Markers.

So Does the presence of Insignificant prevent them being used as Scheme Markers at the end of the game?

  10. Tri chi is phenomal for symbols of authority.

Whiskey gamin are incredible scheme runners If you set up the posion engine correctly (i nromaly have 9 poison on both of them turn one) and almost everybmodel in the crew has a 2 inch engsgment range. Which allows them to deny interact actions very easily.

  11. Hi all! Got a pretty simple question.

When a shockwave is centered on a model does that model need to take the shockwave duel?

Examples include the pigapults full load and wongs ability to centre shockwaves on friendly models.

According to the rulebook all shockwaves are pulses and therfore do not affect the model they are centered on. But it also says any model touched by the marker are affected.

But would love a more accurate reference. :)

  12. Yeah? Going off. I recon the lady could be different.

But the other two both have lion pelts, both have guns and both have skinning knives. Theres lots fo examples of multiple minions models having more different armaments with the same stats. (Torakage come to mind)

The lady I can see being henchmen or totem. Hoping Henchmen over totem honestly.

  13. Wow that is a lot! 😮 thanks for all your help! Cant wait for the podcast episode to drop! :)

Does the Criers obey get around the no interact on the turn you are summoned rule? I have had several opponents call me out there so was under the impression it didnt work.

Gonna try him again in the coming weeks and see what I can manage!

  14. Hi all!

I have been having a great deal of trouble with Sommer. I have had about 5 games with him so far and have not once felt like I was doing well or having fun.

Now this just might be a play style difference but I realy do want to make the Big Hat man himself work!

So what do you look for in a strat scheme pool to play Sommer into. I always feel like I have a different master I would rather take?
What are some situations you look for that Sommer can take advantage of?
What factions does he work into?

Whatever it is if you have some Sommer knowledge I would love to here it!

  15. Just seeking some clarification to how Obeys Etc interact with Turf War.

My understanding is since a model remains friendly to its own crew under an Obey like effect the following is true.
    1. Friendly model obeys enemy model. Enemy model cannot interact with an Turf marker to flip it back to neutral, nor to flip a neutral to friendly.
    2. Friendly model obeys enemy model to kill a different enemy model. No Turf markers are flipped as a result of this.

These assumptions are based of the following wording int turf war.

'A model can take an Interact action targeting a strategy marker in base contact with it to change its alignment from enemy to neutral or from neutral to friendly'
'When a friendly model kills and enemy model, it can change one strategy marker in the same table quarter as the killed model from enemy to neutral.'
