  1. Hey Pergli, Thanks for the report. Can you tell us the list you played in the Reva game and what the scheme pool was?
  2. I mean masters. That way you can decide on your own if it is a more typical list or not. If you think any master is good at something only if he crew is unusual, then just tick "good" and write a comment below the charts.
  3. Fellow Ressers... As suggested on FB, I will post it here as well. I came up with the idea yesterday to do kind of an overview of which masters are effective in which strats and schemes and against which factions in general. The idea is to create a document where new or unexperienced players simply can look up good matchups. And yeah, I know that does not replace playing and trying out, but could be a nice start. So I made a google document. On page one there is a table for strats and schemes. Second one is factions. Everybody can join and edit the document and maybe we can have some discussion here if needed. If a master is good or effective in a strat or scheme or against a faction in general, mark the spot green (or write "good"), if it's only fair go for orange (or "fair") and if bad mark it red. Would love to see what you think are good pools for different masters. PS: If something like this already exists, just let me know and I can take this one down. Addition: Below the tables I will do some kind of changelog. If anybody changes something another player already has written, just eloborate why. Or do it in the comments here. Thanks! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1H5y0K3lUiGAMyGng5j2BCpXowOJ8a1NeqlEXG-D6bYU/edit?usp=sharing
  4. Thanks for your answer again. But in that special case I described, there was no wall between Izamu and Kirai, so that was never really a thing. But your information is a good one, indeed. The lineup was Roughly as follows, just to clarify the situation. Enemy ---Wall---- Izamu Kirai
  5. Thanks all for your replys. That helps a lot. So in general you always measure to an object and not to a point. That makes things clear. Thanks.
  6. Hey. That was clear to me and I had LOS to Izamu, because the wall was only blocking LOS to the enemy but not to Izamu. The question was only about Ikiryo and the enemy. Edit : but not to sound rude or ungrateful : thank you very much for your answers!
  7. Hey folks! In our last game, we had a tricky situation regarding the summoning of Ikiryo in my Kirai Crew. The situation was as follows: Kirai is standing behind a HT2 wall. From the other side of the wall an enemy damages Izamu, who is inside of 6 inches of Kirai. I want to summon Ikiryo in base contact with that enemy, per Malevolence. So, as usual I have to summon Ikiryo in LOS. And here comes the problem: What exactly do I have to have LOS to? Ikiryo, or the place where I want to summon her? My take on the rules was that I place the summoned model, so that it is in LOS with Kirai. Since Ikiryo has HT3, I can summon her in base contact with that enemy, because after placing her I can ignore the blocking terrain for LOS purposes, since her HT is bigger than the wall's. So I place her anywhere on the table, as long as the model is in LOS afterwards. My opponent's take was that I have to see the place, or better said the point on the bottom, where I want to summon her, and THEN place her. In that case it would be impossible to summon Ikiryo, since I cannot see the bottom through a HT2 wall. So his take is: Need LOS to the place, and THEN summon the model. The rules say "...the summoned model must be placed within LOS to the acting model.", which I believe does fit my interpretation better... But: Who is right? Can I summon Ikiryo? Thanks for your help!
  8. Heyho. In Friday me and a friend of mine had our first game of Malifaux. We had tons of fun, I think we got most of the rules right and learned a lot. We are really looking forward to the next game. I played Kirai and he played Rasputina. All in all two questions came up that we could not solve with the FAQ or the rules. 1.) Do Rasputinas Ice Pillars need to be placed in LOS? If yes : completely (do both markers need to be visible completely) or just a part of them or can they be placed without LOS? 2.) In a situation he killed my Lost Love by dealing 3 points of damage with an attack action. So far so good, but does that trigger Malevolence? My opponent said no, because the model dealing the aura is killed, so there is no aura any more. I said yes, because it is triggered whenever a model takes damage, which happens before the model is killed. So my take was : I take the damage, I place Ikiryo, Lost love dies. Who of us is right? Thank you all and sorry if those questions have been asked before...
