Combine that with Alice OOK for all the Hazardous shenanigans! Mini game is to see how many models you can place within A Thousand Cuts, A Pit Trap and the Prospector's Mining Law'ed scheme markers for 3dg... bonus points if you also Blades Flourish them for that sweet 6dg!

Gotta get some landmines out too lol.

On the Kenshiro front, Seeking the Blade is fascinating. It's basically telling you if you should spend a Tactics Token or Focus on your next flip. Doesn't work quite so well on the new Viktoria, but old Viktorias would get some great use out of it.

Actually weird how much of his kit doesn't apply to new Viktoria too. Diving Charge means she doesn't care about Fleet of Foot either.

I wonder if that's intentional? Thinking about the cards more, the new ones seem like a more forgiving style. Harder to kill, resource generation, multiple ways to get out of engagement or drop scheme markers, bonus actions that are more universally applicable, potential min 5 damage. The old Viks seem a lot more mentally challenging to play. So maybe the new model is to help boost their playstyle to compensate.

  2. Kenshiro seems AMAZING. Holy cow I'm so excited for that model. 2 Bayou 2 cards per turn with no range or LOS? Don't mind if I do. Fleet of foot letting you do curved charges? Hell yeah.

I'm not sure what to think about the new Viks, I'll need to see them in action. I'm glad they essential brought back their avatar form though. That's neat. I hope they let you use it as an official proxy.

I didn't think any named characters died. Just some ronin named for the story and a bunch of nameless mercs.  Big Jake was injured. They mentioned a doc being in the gut of a big lizard, but I think that's just a generic doctor rather than Mitchell as Parker isn't mentioned in that story at all and the Doc was on the Hanging Tree Heist (that'd make an awesome movie title or band name!).

If Big Jake died, wouldn't he just come back anyway?

  4. Do I have this interaction right?

If you have Ama and Kamaitachi in your crew. You have a dust devil marker and Ama's hazardous aura up near by an enemy model. Asami makes a rift marker, and then hits the enemy with the Unstable Rift trigger. You do damage flip, then 1 damage from moving the rift marker onto the enemy and then you place the enemy so that it's touching all 3 sources of hazardous, doing a total of 6 damage on weak (10 on severe)?

Really, Wyrd should consider to improve a bit the leap on some models.

The Necropunks were too good for 5ss IMHO, but there's better scheme runners out there, like Silurids or Gupps. I understand taking the mask, but maybe instead of less than 25% success rate, they could have gave them :+flipon the stat, so they still need a mask, but you have closer to 50% to succeed.

The Onward! action with Rocket Man trigger felt like the obvious halfway point to me, but they decided against that.

  6. I only have the one game and my opponent wasn't playing a condition crew so that change didn't affect me. I didn't use A&D either, I was trying to see how the direct changes worked out.

Necropunks are still tougher than Scavengers and cheaper so I think bringing 1 is conditionally worth it.

Have anyone tried Levi after the nerfs, how is the crew now?

I gave him a try recently. By far the biggest change I noticed to Levi himself was the change to his demise. Getting 6 health back at most is challenging. The changes to channel but getting 6 stat on melee feels more like a side grade. The reduced aura is whatever. It did come up, but I lost out on a single point of healing, not game changing. The built in suit change isn't bad, if you really need to pack in damage you need a couple soul stones like other beaters, but going for the killing blow to get an abom feels better now.

Necropunks are still fine, but you can only support 1 now, and need to pay more attention to hand management.

Scavengers are different but still good. They're better at self support now, only needing a 5 to get focus + whatever else you want and still having 2 ap. It's kind of nice to pick other triggers besides burn out now.

It depends.... FRM can tank pretty well for their cost. My issue is more their Stat 5 and 0” engagement range.

Their damaging attack is 0, but they have a 2" engagement range. It's one of the keys to them being amazing tarpits

It's kind of sad that Big Hat, Infamous, Kin, & Tri-Chi did't get new models.

Tri-Chi got half of the Encounter box at the end of 2e, so I can't be too salty. Kin just got new Minions at the start of 3e, and so did Big Hat, so that's fine.  But Infamous gets nothing new?! That's a shame.

Although Infamous did get 8 versatile models, 4 in each faction
