  1. Am I reading Lasting Liquor wrong or does it actually have two effects:

    • The Poision Condition cannot be ended
    • The Poision Condition cannot be reduced on friendly models within 8 :auraby enemy effects.

    Essentially meaning that all friendly models will always have a minimum of 1 poison, since it cannot be ended, if they stay within 8 :aura of the brewmaster?

  2. Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but are there any restrictions that say Zoraida cannot choose herself as "one of the friendly swampfiends in play"? Only think you can use it to double walk, but still.

    Do NOT try to brute force cadmus... it won't work. Shooting at them and kidnaping models are the way to go imo. Zipp is a good pick. Bring Gluttony/the Emissary. You'll either have to deal with the mess or invalidate them completely. Try to isolate archivist/Meredith and kill them if you can. Do not underestimate the E&E. If you can kill an inactivated one it's usually the right call. 

    Is it worth it to pick Zipp as a second master, or is that overkill? I was hoping Ophelia could help, since she brings Blast Markers to the game.

  4. Just back from two games with the new Ophelia. I really, really like her! The new title seems to have shaken up the crew drastically. Ophelia is, ironically, a lot less interactive and "fun" for me, but she allows for so many new combos that shake up her crew, that I feel more than fine with it. 

    Tried to stack Sammy with a few of the upgrades, and good lord does it do work! Need a unique suit? Glowy Tokens! Need a good angle for the gun? Fast!

    So easy to get Glass Shards out, or a double Critical Strike on that juicy Trash Cannon. 

    Similarly, the crew also seems a lot more survivable with an almost build-in Armor 1, since they can just toss an upgrade to reduce by 1. Hell, throw out a 1-5 card and get a free Focus.

    I've also tricked myself a bit by accidentally "locking" multiple upgrades on a model that didn't have a use for it. As a result, I couldn't make the combo work. Very cool and enjoyable design to be honest. Good job Wyrd! 😍

    From what I've seen, most people seem to agree that the issues with this keyword is beyond "Just learn to play against them". Hell, this is a 23-page thread dedicated to that subject 😅

    Do you have much experience with them, and how would you yourself counter them?

    A local tournament is slowly creeping its way into my calender, and I was hoping people would help me with a few tips. 

    The tournament will have a good amount of Explorers Society players, and I've had almost no games against them. Truth be told, I've somewhat made the leap into Explorers Society myself, but I'll never get the models ready in time, which means to experience from their point of view either. So I'm staying with my Beautiful Bayou Boys!

    I'm especially worried about UMBRA, SEEKER and CADMUS. 

    No strategies & schemes have been shown so far, and so I'm more hoping for general tips against X keyword. Should I try to bruteforce CADMUS through Ulix, or attempt to blast them with Ophelia? Is Gluttony OP against UMBRA because of the many shadow markers?

    Well, sure. But this is about Mah. Not a Mei Feng expert personally, but she didn't get put on a giant Mech from what I can tell :D

    I can totally see options with her, yes. At the very least, she seems like a good alternative to v.1 Mah, when you expect Armor to be a big issue. She also seems a bit SS heavy for suits, but Tricksy has so many options to get soulstones now, so I don't see it as much of an issue. 

    I wonder if this version of Mah wants to pick up Sparks?

    My first thoughts are very much focused on the fun movement tricks that Mah can do with the trigger Secret Tunnel & Dropped down a hole. Ironically, it seems like getting put in a giant Mech made her loose a lot of her punching power. Hell, she has the same attack as the new 7 SS Enforcer.

    I have no doubt that we will see a Bayou master sometime during the next few weeks. But man, the "Not a real faction"-meme has gained a bit of traction these days :D

    Honestly always assumed that it was the model-placement that people used it for the most - But I've also got a very negative view of Shockwave-duels. They never seem to hit home, and this one "only" does 2 damage (obviously excluding the potential Bacon-bomb that follows it). But I see what you mean.

  13. Anyone else tried the Pigapult, after the recent FAQ on how "Placing an object" needs to have LoS? I've had very little experience with it, and wasn't sure if everyone already knew.

    From the FAQ:

    Section 2

    10. *If a model would place an object “anywhere within range” of an Action, does it need to have LoS to that range?*

    a) Yes. The range of an Action includes LoS. The only exception to this is if a model is placing itself it does not need LoS

    I wonder if making it ignore LoS would break the model?
