Because you can't see right away where the aura terrain ends and if you are 1" close enough and if a line between two bases would cross the aura. It seems like lots of measuring to me.
I thought just the same way, Ludvig. However it seems to make Things unnecessarily complicated. The "models within are granted cover" case would be much easier to handle, but I also think it's just not the case. Thanks for your quick answer anyway.
Hey everyone, I'm not sure how the Hodgepodge Effigy's The Mist works. It says: "...the area within aura(4) of this model is considered Ht 3 soft cover."
(1) So if a friendly model's rear part of the base is within 4" of the Hodgepodge aura and a gun shot comes from the front while no line drawn between the shooting model and the friendly model crosses the aura area: Does the friendly model benefit from soft cover?
(2) What if a friendly model stands less than 1" next to the aura but not within it and an enemy model shoots at it while a line drawn between the bases crosses the aura. Does the friendly model benefit from soft cover for standing close enough to it?
Since I found not much help on Facebook let's see what the forum is good for: How does the Death Marshal Recruiter's "Not today lads" ability interact with the GG2017 Headhunter Strategy? This ability says when a model is killed you can discard a card and it's not killed then. While the stratgy tells you to place a headmarker when a model is killed. Does the model loose its head (head marker placed) or not?
