  1. Hello my fellow Guild players. I want to summorize all info about our hottest lady- Sonnia Criid.
It will take some time to expand this article but i will do it as soon as possible.

    What is the concept?

She dishes out tons of aoe damage in some funny ways. You can actually kill something within 22 from her with pretty descent flips, and most important u can purge with fire. Remember that she has default_Plus.png on attacks against 6+wp, ignores LOS and cover against burning enemies and can fire some 2/3default_Blast.png/5default_Blast.pngdefault_Blast.png at them while they are failing Ca attacks.
You must realize that Sonnia is not a toolkit- she is a freaking flamethrower. She is very, very forthright. She burns the stuff, hates enemy casters and once again burns stuff.

    Upgrades

She has some good upgrades, that have insane value.

-Cherufe's imprint - enemies near can not use ss (enemy henchmen within 3 has really hard time sustaining all that damages)
    (1) flame wall - and here we go. Nice impasible los blocker, that can easily be copied by malifaux child. Great stoper of shooty armies and of various alphastrikes when placed properly. Deals some damage when expires, be careful.

-Reincarnation - many guys here think this upgrade sucks, i'm fine with it. Kill burning stuff within 10, get your free witchling for 2 cards or 1ss. Even 1 witchling is great 5ss for 1, 2+ witchlings are unlikely to appear, but man this feels good. Guild summoner confirmed. Main problem is Sonnia already being very hungry for resourses (for cards mostly) now you need to discard extra cards/ss. If you want to use this go with min cash of 6 or more.

-Counterspell aura - Removes all in-built suits from enemy casts. Neverborn, some arcanists and all obey/lure models cries and calling suicide prevention line. Also you can make their day even worse. For (1) you can ground their magic, so they almost can not cast at all.

-Cherufe's parting gift - sweet one, makes your default totem worth playing it by summoning it over and over for free. Second part is more important: your fellow witch hunters within 12 and los can chain activate. Push Sonnia for 12 with hearthbain then blast everything within los, push sam than let him unleash his righteous fury on enemy, pull thrall with handler then chain activate him to completly wreck anything around. This stuff is VERY good.

-No more masks - makes Sonnia a very, very potent melee master with some excuses.  2/3/5default_Blast.png+ burning1+ push this model up to 2+ Heal1-3 wounds+ draw 1-3 cards. If you know enemy will try to tie Sonnia in melee- this is a great choise. Otherwise this is more of a meme-tier than a serious one. In some way can solve her hand problem which is very nice.

    Main supporting models

-Francisco is the best way to make your Sonnia healthier and generaly is autoinclude nowadays. he is pretty squishy and you need a little bit of caution to keep this guy alive. Can push Sonnia out of melee which is also good for her.

-Malifaux Child is close to autoinclude, granting Sonnia second wall. That's all he is for 3ss.

-Papa Loco is nice buffer(default_Plus.png on dmg is GREAT) + he generates some good damage with blasts when focused. Be afraid of his on-death effect that hurts alot.

-Hearthbane can attack Sonnia to push her then teleport, then push again. This is up to 12 inches (in most cases this means 1st turn 3 shots in the enemy team). 4 damage, but this can kinda fixes her mobility. No inbuilt suits, so card hungry as hell.

-Sue +Sonnia with counterspell aura is a death to any heavy casting army. They are done. He can also give some burning to the guys near him.

-Effigy is generaly good with any damaging master. And for 4 ss this one is very, very tough.

-Emissary is good, giving that sweet burning+1 to enemy without los, but I rarely can see place in my lists for his 10ss ass. He is not witch hunter also, so no chain activation to Sonnia/Sam via parting gift.

-Queeg is not tested, but i see him as Hearthbane alternative. He is a henchman for less ss, can not push Sonnia as far as Hearthbane but deals less dmg(9 inches vs 12 inches/3 vs 4 damage), but can push her without any additional cards/suits. Main problem he is not witch hunter, so no chain activation after push. He also has inferior damage track and far less fighty then hearthbane.

    Downsides

Remember the weaknesses: 4 wk, 4 df, 12 hp.
She is slow and VERY squishy. Franc is absolutely needed and you need a way to speed her up.There is a problem that can not be solved easily for her: she is card hungry AF. Effigy can help just a little, queller and Jury can draw 1-2 cards, pair of debts are ok way to go, but outside of this- your hand is screwed. You will always have around 0-2 cards. Suck it.

    To be expanded...

@FinalFormHave you faced the horrible Candy + Nekima staple neverborn list?

One players also has a vicious resser list, I haven't faced it but I think it's Archie and Yin with my little helper and a belle and or something like that.

No, i did not. Can you explain what is the combo.

If i remember correctly no models can be summoned via enything, but yeah, archie with little helper seems extremly salty. Yin is pretty dirty too.
IMO any henchmen with min 4 and 3 attacks are pretty broken in hh. On the other hand- no ss for you)

  3. After long tests I might say, that guild is the best faction in HH by far.

    and your default list is:
    -Judge(tankiest leader)
    ...
-Franc (with or without debt depending on ss cost of last model) 8ss
-Doggo 3ss can rarely be changed for brutal effigy (IMO only with jury, does not worth it with other picks)

    You can easily juggle with

executioner (top dd, can heal, big threat range) 9ss

thrall(top tank, can heal, pretty mobile) 9ss

jury(squishy, good support, can heal others and remove conditions, can give masks to judge, card draw, can make models slow) + wade in on franc 9ss

phiona(some sinergy with judge, can create impas and teleport to engaged models, can generate some extra attacks, +flip on attacks sometimes) +wade in on franc 9ss

Any of this models brings great value, so play as you like

Basically if Justice doing irreducable damage was such a problem I don't see why Viks were allowed to do min damage 5 without any possibility to reduce since book 1 while also being allowed to slingshot anywhere in several ways.

Viktoria of blood is 7hp def 6(7) wp5 model with 1 ss by default.
LJ is 14hp 5(7)def 7(9)wp with 4 ss by default.
You can see the difference. LJ is far, far better protected and can outsustain even toughest beatsticks like Howard/Nekima/Peacekeeper, while Viktoria can not.

  5. @Fazza92 @Ludvig
Look guys. You probably missing some context for my words)
    1) Yes, you can activate queller into Sonnia, but this will rarely help. The only time I can remember this stuff helped is queller walk+ supression marker near Molly, Sonnia fires the volley of fire.
    2) In fact you want to use queller with some non-master beatstick ( peacekeeper/sam/franc/bishop/etc.) due to non-master restriction on quellers buff.

Not sure, their abilities and actions seem quite useful, but they get so much better when you know exactly what the opponent will play, and I have the feeling you would need two of them in a list to get the most.

    Tested 1 and 2 quellers.
1 queller is a very good option vs arcanists (Kaeris, Sandeep, Tony with 3 ox mages, and Ramos) due to ignor of armor and arcane shielding. Neverborn are kinda depended on their in-built suits, so queller works good vs them too. And you can slam dat wildgeist easy. I did not tested quellers vs resers, but it seems they can work well vs summon based on in-built crows and vs rotten belles. In other cases quellers are pretty meh for 6 ss.

2 are too much in almost any matchup. 12 ss for almost same level of impact as 6ss.

It is even harder to put this guys in lists after I tried Jury+2 austringers (in fact now i have problems with putting anything in lists, because I love this combo too much and it will kill me one day). I still think 1 queller is  almost autoinclude vs Nevers, Resers and Arcanists. In other cases abuse Juri+austringers XD

Gremlins might turn with Zoraida but if its Zoraida vs Sonnia I`d put my money on Sonnia.

in addition guild has Numb to words for say peacekeeper, that makes most of Zoraidas abilities useless.
Counterspell aura+ Peacekeeper with numb to words seem like 85-90% winrate here.

I would be torn between Plastic Surgery and Evidence Tampering. To my way of thinking, Scalpel Slinging makes McMourning into a real machine for getting round the table and killing things.

    MMmm... nah
I'm tearing myself apart between Surgery and Guild Coroner.   Guild coroner is SOOOOO GOOD.

    1) Sonnia can easily hit models at about 30" from where she starts. Her blast placement rules mean that its very hard to have several of your models close enough to each other to do the card draw and reformation, and be safe from her.

    2) So yes Its a tactic that you can use and it will catch people out that aren't expecting it. But Its fairly signposted at deployment if you hide everythign away. And likewise, it doesn't have that long a threat range if you are having to hide everything away.

    3)  I'm a big fan of the desolation engine, and like to look at ways to abuse it, and whilst this is potentuially a nice route, its pretty reliant on the surprise against several masters.

1)It all depends on board. On the board with 4-5 houses or similar los-blocks you can easily play all this stuff while being out of los.

    2)I agree here.

3)As almost any non-default alphastrike list does.

I'm going to arguments from authority now) It is not 100% fact that it works but best Russian Outcast player Mamed Guseyn played this list on big tournaments and have amazing score like 4-0 or something like this. This is not auto-pick list for any opponent but on many types of board vs most of the masters this list should perform well.
Try it for yourself. It is pretty good and it is very funny to play with it.

P.s sorry for my bad english, I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say)

You should put A Debt to the Guild on Myranda. You get to draw a card, get +1 damage and then gain the stone back when you transform.

I kinda like +4 dmg here. It gives Kudra real chances to kill pretty solid model without armour with one charge ignoring hard to kill for 7 or less hp models. Still killing them if they have 8-9 hp at the end of the turn also.
But I can use Debt on Myranda too. Thx for your idea.

    Why stop at triple stalked?

    50 SS Guild Crew
    McMourning + 5 Pool
     - Test Subjects (1)
    Myranda (8)
    Rogue Necromancy (10)
    Sabretooth Cerberus (9)
    Sabretooth Cerberus (9)
    Monster Hunter (6)
    Monster Hunter (6)

This moment when you realize you feel comfortable enough in you deployment zone and do not want to go anywhere.

Byt my entire crew is chilling behind flame walls and terrain so you're not going to be attacking a Sonnia crew turn one.

Yes what you are saying is absolutely legit. Core idea of this list is your opponent do not know wtf is happening early turn one. And then he regrets it. Of course if you know what is happening- you can easily counter it by sniping one of aboms or just locking yourself from potential threat.

About summoning stuff: there are an enourmous amount of def duels during this alpha strike and there will be some enemy models with 1-3 hp when the time is right)  Also note that desol can get fast from core and for 2 activations it has +/+ so you can dish out some nice crows) You have some cards from biting your own models, while enemy does not have any.
On tourn I was playing vs Ramos. On regular games i was playing against Sandeep and mcCabe.

I'm going to go ahead and declare that is literally impossible.

    activation+reactivation
2 aboms created via levis trigger, one by desol's trigger. one abom bites 1hp desol, 2 aboms atacks then 4th of them turns into desol. Now we have third activation on desol and one abom. Desol summons one more abomination via trigger. One abom bites desol, 2 activations after last abom forms desol. Now forth activation of desolation engine begins. In some universe you can do it 5-6 times.

    Prove me wrong.

I'm in the middle part of Russia GMT +5
I've never played Vassal before, but this might be an interesting option)
