I'm happy to announce a Henchman Hardcore event being hosted at At Ease Games in San Diego. The event will be taking place Sunday December 11th, starting at Noon.

The event will be three rounds and we are exited to be adding new types of events to our local rotation.

This will be the first event hosted after the Barrel Harbor tasting room attached to the game store opens. Come on over, have a pint, and do some brawling!

I am now doing demos at Villainous Lair Comics in San Diego. Our gaming group meets their at 6pm on Mondays. Message me if you would Like to get in a demo game! Our local meta plays most of the factions, so if you are already interested in something let me know and there is a good chance that you can borrow a crew you's like to play. Otherwise I personally own several masters that I could run you through the game with.

Additionally if you can't make it on Mondays we have another store in the area where we meet up on Sundays. I am not always there on Sundays, but we have a lot of friendly people who are. Message me and I will so my best to be there when you are available, otherwise I can probably set up a friendly local to meet you there!

My local henchman has a metal Somer box that he is going to be giving to me once he finds it in his garage. 

I don't have an exact time frame (he is busy with other things, and I don't particularly need the bayou gremlins yet). So no promises on the time frame, but I'd be happy to send you the banjo from it when I do get it.

Another option would be to wait for the Banjonistas from book 4 to be released. I'm sure there will be one in there that will be usable and to scale.

Ah, the one I have is borrowed from a friend. So it was lready assembled and painted. Honestly haven't looked at it too closely to see if it would be separable.

One of the old metal bayou gremlins from the Somer Teeth box has a banjo.

You could pilfer that if you find one around.

The first thing I'm looking to try is to use Poorly handled explosives on the Voodoo Doll. Suddenly having 2 Explosive Demise 4 models in the enemy ranks could be a huge surprise!

So, does anyone have any great success stories for models that you've hired out of faction for Zorida?

I just picked her up, as she was the last remaining gremlin master for me. I got Iggy to burn the Voodoo doll, and Nurses so I can finally have my revenge on all of the local rezzer players (Mwahahaha). I'll also be proxying a Will O'the Wisp until they are released.

What else has been worth using with her for you? What to you recommend getting?

I originally was looking at Papa, honestly I feel like I wouldn't use him to his fullest for his  move, and Pere can handle the explosions.

The "Out for Blood" upgrade adds a  trigger to Aim for the Sore Spots, which gives a free charge after the resolution.

We have a growing group that meets on Sundays (I know you said you work weekends!) at At Ease Games in Mira Mesa. But feel free to contact me, I'd be happy to meet up on a week night.

We actually have a tournament this Sunday, the 6th, if you happen to be available.

Additionally we recently heard some rumors about a group meeting at Villainous Lair, but have not actually been able to make contact with anyone yet. We are going to be seeing about trying to get in touch with them. 

We have a few older players, a few middling players (such as myself), and several new players. We have a pretty good relationship with a couple crews out of LA as well, and are getting more in the habit of trying to get to each others tournaments (Their next one is on the 19th). 

Like I said feel free to let me know if you want to meet up, or shoot me a pm and I can get in touch with you via phone of facebook if you are more comfortable with that.

No one is trying to take away anyone's toys, we are just stating a preference for different ones.

I honestly keep trying to like Trixie. Everyone is always singing her praises, and maybe I'm just doing something wrong but I never feel like I'm getting enough out of the stones i spend on her.

Fingers I can see doing things. He stops entire schemes on the enemy, and has more than one secured me 3-6 VP on his own, through being able to place/steal scheme marker at critical locations or just being nigh unkillable with 3 AP to heal and having the loudest squeel.

You could also just use an Iron skeeter to make her fast for a reasonable reduction in resources.

I won a translucent Pandora crew at a tournament a while back.

Gonna be playing it for the first time this weekend, and Burt's Crackerjack Timing seems like a great way to force a bunch of horror duels for Misery 

Honestly I'd still take him if he was 11 stones, haha.

Easily my favorite henchman. I think the only time he has ever died was in a game where I got tabled.

Yeah, I was pretty surprised myself.

My wife and I traded 5 guilder nor a Miss Terious, because she wanted one to go with Tara and wasn't a huge fan of the normal ones. 

Can't complain about 5 guilder for Miss Terious and Santana lol

So, thanks to a mispacked box I now have a Santana model. No card though.

Neither my wife or I play Guild, and don't have plans to start anytime soon. So I'm interested to see what I could trade this for.

I don't have anything in particular in mind, so let me know what you have. I play gremlins, and am also interested in getting into that terrorist faction... I mean arcanists.

Granted the mask isn't built in but the ability to debuff a model and then obey a warpig or rooster rider into them before they can respond could be useful for the style your suggesting.

Man, I really need to get myself a Warpig.

The last game I played I used Poorly Handled Explosives on Zipp. He turned people into living grenades that then were thrown at their own allies. I was pretty happy with it.

Being able to place the target to maximize that 4 damage it great when the opponent doesn't get a chance to react before you throw them.

I have an extra Somer and Peaches model, new in box and unopened.

There are some fan made neverborn stats for the Dark carnival floating around on google. Not sure if that was what caused the confusion.

I know this because I was confused about the same thing when I started.
