I think they are special order only, but that special order can be either direct from wyrd, or through your local store.
Hopefully directly through Wyrd. My local store wasn't even special ordering their stuff last time I checked

Has there been any word on when the models will be available single outside of the boxes, the new ones I mean. I remember it being said that the new models would be purchasable by themselves, but not any more than the announcement.
I love Georgy and Olaf, but already have banjonistas

Also now Ulix will be paying more for some usual support minis may hurt. Merris, Sammy, Lenny....
That he may or may not even want to hire in 3e because it is an entirely different edition with new model rules...

im confused on what a "versatile" model is, none of them have it listed as key word or note...
It says in the article that Versatile models are noted by an asterisk by their name

I suspect that if you pick up any M3E master and expect them to play like their M2E version did, you'll probably end up very disappointed. The Marcus and Rasputina that we saw at GenGon definitely looked like they would play much different than they did in M2E.
Why are you questioning what is clearly in in depth analysis of a game this isn't even out yet?

Funny thing is I live in Chicago. We only have hot days like that for a few weeks. I can't imagine what Southern states go through in the summer.
Eh, I live in SoCal and have left my minis in the trunk for weeks without issue

Any standout moments with First Mate in the full box Zipp crew?
He mostly jumped around and ply'd things. Nothing amazing, but he was able to get ply every turn. He also ate the scheme marker my opponent was trying to do Dig Their Graves with, only the one.

One of my local Outcast players who wanted to see what he was getting with Zipp in 3e, dispute me pointing out repeatedly that the models may not be anywhere near the sae rules-wise lol.

I too agree that this thing we haven't seen yet and are making assumptions on will be overpowered. /sarcasm

I hadn't used him much, but was challenged to use Zipp's whole box a couple weeks ago. Man have I been underestimating this guy.
My next plan is to try him out with Mah. he is fast enough to keep up with her and she has plenty of push tricks to take advantage of pounce.- 1

What about flinging the crier, activating to clear the paralyze, and then using Mama Z to obey the This Makes No Sense?

It looks like there's going to be a whole shit-ton of terrain markers on the board in M3E. There are 6 masters whose teaser text calls out the terrain markers that they use.
Basse - Dust Clouds
Reva - Pyre Markers
Titania - Severe Underbrush
Euripides - Ice Pillars
Rasputina - Ice Pillars
Kaeris - Pyre MarkersWell I mean, 2e has Lilith, Rapsy, Sonnia, Zipp, Kaeris, Hamlin, Ramos, Mah. So it shouldn't bee too mush more cluttered. Also in 3e descriptions id Misaki throwing down shadow markers.

Beware the negativity on the gremlin forums.
Bushwackers are solid for 5 stones. 3 may be a bit much, but they are excellent at taking out medium level models. They are great at vendetta as well. A focused shot doing moderate or severe can easily finish off something that Mah throws into their line of fire for 3 points.
Old cranky may struggle to keep up with this crew, but him and sammy should play well on a flank. She can hold the pit trap upgrade and between them they can cycle cards and turn shut down scheme runners.
Gators are probably the weakest model you have. The can hit like a truck if your opponent has already used their hand and can't defend. Conversly if you activate early they may burn cards to defend. Not resulting in the gator itself doing much, but setting up for those focused bushwhacker shots and Mah's charges.

I think there's a difference between really keeping up with the lore, and thinking it adds *no value* *at all*.
The lore is in everything. The character's name. The names of its abilities. "I'm making a Greatsword attack" sounds a lot better than "I'm making Short Range Attack X"
It even influences the art descriptions which influences the aesthetics which influence the game mechanics.
And I get that advocating that character names and ability names having no value sounds extreme but, apparently, there are people who advocate for that so... *shrug*
As one of the players at said store who does not keep up with the lore, I *do* very much value it. An like hearing about things when people tell me what is going on in the world of Malifaux. I'm just not going to sit down and read it, and the audio quality of the breachside broadcast makes it hard to listen to on noisy public transit where I do my podcast listening.
I am also all for the lore affecting the gameplay. It makes the world feel living.

Can't go wrong with Merris. She can do a lot of work scheming in any crew, and isn't too many stones to boot.

If you ever get tired of the positivity here, Flinroz, you can always go check out the Nightmare Ulix box thread!! 😉
I know right?

Additional benefit of her in this crew, she can punch rats to cause blast. I did a stuffed piglet list like that once.

Great to see the positivity train is back on track in the gremlins forums...

Well if it's not tailored towards newer players as you say (and I agree, if nothing else, because it costs twice as much) and not for the faithful , who exactly is this tailored to?
The answer is not clear, and so I also think this won't sell very well like @PolishSausage said.
Pretty sure it was tailored for me. As I play gremlins, and already have other models that I am doing in the paint schemes of the MLPs.
Thanks Wyrd!

I think it's Do Over. And yes, it's brilliant.
Do over is redo a ranged duel or draw cards.
I just checked, I was thinking of On Yer Tip Toes.

I cannot give my experience since I have never used him ( too expensive at 10ss for my taste)
But the chatty + healing seems very good. Slap DC and Stilts on him and you opponent will be sweating to get rid of this guy.
I just think that First Mate can do similar stuff but is a much more survival beater.
I've been using stilts and the upgrade that you can discard to re-do a duel (can't remember the name, A Gremlin's Luck?). It's pretty fun.

Adding to the list:
Remove Merc from Burt and drop 1 ss.
Give Merris attack thats identical to Iggy.
Reduce Zoraida swampfiend upgrade to 1ss
Merge some of Mah's upgrades together/ or add extra perks to them ( cards are empty)
Slophaulers need 1 extra wound
Brin need higher DF
Wraslers need bulletproof 1 or some passive that is usefull
Replace crow trigger on bayous to poison 1
Remove trixibells hench and drop to 7ss or make her gun upgrade 0ss
Remi needs something, at least SH6 for 7ss model (aka Hans)
Francois needs higher DF since he went to 8ss (5 is ok-I will take)
Gators need higher wk/chg or a trigger that actually useful (slow would be amazing)
Criers need to go to 6ss
Ophelia needs upgrade slot increase aka Jack Daw
Wong needs longer range on his spell
Zip needs reduced range on DF trigger (4" and only enemies attacks)
Sparks needs nimble/reckless or inbuilt book to his ML
Smugglers need complete rework badly
Iron skeeters need to have restrictions on models they carry around ( Ht1 minions only), No longer CA but flip a card and resolve (so always goes off)
Wow, why not just have them release a general upgrade that can be discarded to win the game while we're at it? 😩

Forgive me if I am missing something completely obvious.
I am a bit late to the whole ToS bandwagon, but I wanted to see what it was about. I see that the stat cards for the various models are all available, so I was going to try and find a local to proxy a test game with. But then I am unable to find the actual rules to the game...
Is there a pdf or something that explains how the game is actually played?

The Banjonistas are the only ones I'm trying to avoid personally. I love the new somer, have a project in mind for the skeeters, and only have 5 bayous currently. Lenny I may turn into a second spit hog
