    It blows my mind how often people act like Vengeance isn't the strongest passive damage effect in the game.

    i don't  know if you've read everything i wrote above, her crew clearly needs more damages. it's just one of my proposals to increase crew damages.

    It seems too much to you that her damages are irreducible? take a look to Levi, or Molly disturbing story or Joss with Hoffman.. (and i think these models are good as they are)

    i also motivated why Vengeance imo is strong (but for sure not the strongest passive ability in game) it does not inhibit any opponent to attack your models, it can bother you if you always flip minimum damage. 

    i'll give you an example what happened in one of my games: Ikiryo was at range of Archie, clearly in one activation of Archie,  she was died. We're guessing that Archie make two attacks on her both with minimum of 3. Ikiryo would taken 4 damages and Archie 2 from vengeance. This could be the annoying case to face vangeance models.  But this does not happen often, because Ikiryo have df 3, and it's very easy to not do minimal damages on her.. between cheating to defend her, (or for defend  other models, as i write above, we have, wp 2 francis, 7 healt goryo, df 4 kirai), between keep at least one card for a good summoned model, between keep at least one card for use at least on one model "protected urami" 6 cards are not enough. And remind ourselves that at best case scenario (always min damages on a vangeance) Ikirio will remain at 2 healt point.. if my oppo is not a novice, he will give her the final blow asap.

    After i still have to ( specify during kirai activation) summoning her with an 11 of crow. not really immediate..

    Please, if you can, try her crew and if you do not have the same problem, i'm very willing to accept advices.

  2. ooh finally someone who says how things are! and then why kirai losts her hanged? were they impossible to balance even with her? Because let's just say it, her crew miss the beaters! and yes, is it true that Vangeance + Incorporeal is very strong because reduce one dmg and give one dmg to opponents, but this thing annoys the opponent if he should flipping always min damages, (remote possibility, since her models apart drowned, do not have htw) are sufficient one max dmg and one medium = one activation  (ah 2/3/5 track, let's no talk of models with min 3 or more..) for remove a summoned Goryo (our best beater) before its activation and after we spent an 11 of crow.

    Datsue is imo the worst Henchman in resser now.  Just checking out the quantity of text on its cards we will notice that she has less, than other.

    Let's do some comparison:

    Melee 9 ss Datsue stat 7 with 2/3/4   <  9 ss Valedictorian stat 7 with 2/4/5,    8 ss  Sebastian stat 7 with 2/3/5 with poison incorporating which often is equivalent to 3/4/6,  8ss Mortimer  stat 6 with 2/3/5,  9 ss Toshiro stat 6 with 2/4/5,  8ss Asura stat 5+ with 2/3/5. 

    Now there is also 9 ss Vincent with stat 5 2/3/4 damage and staggered and 9 ss Manos stat 6 with 2/3/4, are very similar with datsue for cost and melee dmgs but with great differences:

    Vincent is part of Revenants crew, which generally had access to more damages dealers that Urami: Reva, Lampad, Draugr eTc. 

    Manos is part of Retainers  and already Toshiro that is better than Datsue.

    I would have much more to write, but i use too much time for translate correctly. I also tried to add in her crew Grave Golem (for reckoning) dot add her more damages output, but, as much as i like this model, it had very little synergy with the team.

     

    Edit. my proposals (where possible; even only a couple would be enough..)

    . increase damages and df of datsue ( yes it is a support piece, but it is also the only henchman of kirai, and a piece that you play always).

    . increase damages of Ikiryo, to avoid problems, could put the rule that if kirai is played with another master she will lost kirai soul's or even she does  not summoning ikiryo.

    . make it easier for crew give adversary. need a tn, need a suit (tomes) attacks stats almost always start from 5. i think that's a little too..

    . return to her crew some beaters that she lost.. or create a new themed "beater piece" for her crew.

    . they currently have: goryo 7 healt points,  francis wp 2, ikiryo df 3, kirai df 4 (i don't want to discuss about other little summonable models like gaki, onryo..) to have this values, someone must have hated her crew..  :(

    . always about francis: give maybe a bonus action to this poor guy?

    . increase movement or healing aura of seishin, or reduce their tn of guide spirits. (even is seishin is quite perfect now, this suggestion could be taken in consideration, if others were not..)

    And i have hard time to find a role for her enrire crew... not only Francis, Datsue for 9 ss the worst ress. henchman. 

    I am conviced that her crew still need something more... or better choose her  just like second master

    probably i mispelled. i didn't want understimate your experience, instead i liked your battle report. It's just i had a totally different experience.. i definitely don't think she's op, i'm not saying that she is weak, but i am convinced that she still miss something.. good heavens it is from closed beta she continues to be nerfed! Silurid are too strong?? really? a model with 6 healt? Most of time i use them my oppo killed them.. if you blow on them, silurids implode miserably! then keep in mind Strategy and Schemes that you drawn, maybe benefit her a little bit? A final result of 6-5 for Zoraida, with Plant Explosives seems to me honest after all.

    Edit. anyway i still rest of my opinion, since i'm a seamus player.. then rather than give him 7 to his flintlock, wouldn't be better if he gets a new trigger on flintlock that put him in b.c. of target?

    Yes, i had a problem to manage Seamus with focus and his Copycat, and you think in first turn after all my activations.. what a weird eh???

    An henchman with df 6 that choose to use his soulstones, and flip the same card.. that's not the norm, it doesn't always happen i'd say..

    And even this happen? You'll make him 4 dmgs and he will have consumed also his ss..

    Flipping the same card, is a chance. That's not the norm. So?? This is an extreme example.

    Doubtful things, sure like 7 on Seamus Flintock. Explain to me how 7 on an attack action of 4/6/8 gives a possibility to ONLY ONE negative flip on non-ss-user models. With walk that grants Focus and one upgrade that gives possibility to choose the best from three cards!??? Are you joking?

    edit. With combination of activations of Seamus, and copycat killer (with focus and cards) i've lost one desolation engine wrong positioned..a model of 10 ss..

    I don’t think he NEEDS stat 7 on the gun. I think it can be argued in good faith that most to all once a turn abilities should be stat 7. Often those abilities are a major aspect of that masters card and it is a major issue in master functionality if those abilities fail during the turn. 

    It is an issue that needs calibration with other abilities though.

    What benefit would bring to game? I don't understand, We should give to all models with "once a turn" abilities a min of 7? also to summoners maybe? why not put also 7 to bonus actions then?

    With one walk he can have focus

    And with upgrade at the start of his activation, he can choose better cards..

    Seamus is the master that i've tested more during beta.

    He is in a good place right now.

  12. I didn't read all replies of this topic,

    But i have played against Kaeris last night, i was using Wong.

    Imo Kaeris now is in a good place, she don't need more buff. 

    In case of make her crew easier to play, i'm agree. But actually she have a very strong crew. She can easily control the battlefield with her markers but her pieces also hit hard.

    @Kyle thank you for made official this thing. Might not be the best time, but, i would like asking you greater clarification (where possible) about Wyrd's future, i'm worried at this point.
