My sweetheart Dita all the way

As far as I know the tokens you get at http://www.customeeple.com are the official ones. At least this was mentioned in some thread quite a while ago (last year). I have a bunch of them and they are perfect.

Hello fellow Guildies, to get a bit of experience I'll be participating in a small local league starting in May. The rules are pretty simple: - 50SS - Model restrictions: Core Book only - fixed master Since I only own the Dita and the LadyJ box I need to get a few new toys to have a bit of variety in my crew choices for 50SS. So I need a bit of advice what to get. I'm not sure which master to take, but I'm considering Dita the most, since I've got zero experience with the Lady (isn't even completly assembled yet). Now...looking at the Core Book I have the following options: - Austringers - Peacekeeper - Lone Marshal - Executioner I think I'll definetly get the Austringers, but after that I'm clueless. My best guess would be a Peacekeeper. If I could I would just buy everything, but my bank account wouldn't be very pleased... Core-Crew: - Dita (Trick Shooting + Aura) - Francisco (Wade-In) - Peacekeeper - (Nephilim) And then filling up to 50SS depending on scheme and strats with: - Austringers - Death Marshals + Papa - Nino - (Santiago) Any suggestions?

Very good news! Especially the errata cards. I always hate it when a game uses cards and the errata changes something on them. You always have to remember what changed or change the card yourself if possible, which is a nogo for me (cards have to stay clean). Thank you!

Sure I'll take pictures as soon as I start building it. But first I have to survive the planning phase ^^ One information I already can provide is the box I use. It's an Armybox from Planet-Fantasy here in Germany. Basically it's a modified "Eurobox". They are cheap, durable and stackable.

Ok. So far nothing I'm planning on buying Hm Rail Golem seems like one of the tallest models out there. If that's the case I should be good to go.

Hey there, I'm currently building a transport box for my Malifaux stuff. I put magnet in the bases of my models to stick them to a metal plate inside the box. So far so good. Since I'd like to put things like markers, meassuring tape, decks, etc. in there too, I thought of putting in two levels. The bottom level contains decks, etc. and the second level the models (the secon level will have handles to take it out). My problem now is, that the height of the box on the inside is just 13cm. For the bottom floor I need at least 3,5cm (better would be 4 to 4,5cm) leaving me with 8,5 to 9,5cm to work with. Can anybody tell me if there are any guild models (the plastic one which are out yet), that are taller than that?

Maybe I focused a bit too much on her after she was down to 5 Wd after the first turn. After Teddy went down and Pandora got that amount of damage I got a bit of a tunnelvision. I'll keep all your advice in mind and focus on the rest of the crew in future games.

I'll never seperate those two ^^ The just work too good together.

Then I'll have to train a bit more in using the Nephilim. All he has done until now is one or two pushes. Getting rid of Papa and putting the SS in all these upgrades is something I'll consider next time. It should push their survivability and damage output quite a bit. Ordering in UK is not that lucrative as the prices are quite a bit higher than here.

After looking over the upgrades I think you're right. I should have kicked the Nephilim out to get Aura Ancestral and Os Veo. Regarding the crew box. Availability here in Germany is quite bad at the moment. I'm still waiting for my Scheme deck and rulebook (nearly 4 weeks now) and most of the items tend to have at least 4 weeks delay in shipping. Right now I'm waiting for the Lady J Box to be on stock. Second master with a different playstyle and DMs. Should me give a bit more flexibility and the ability to step the game up to 50ss.

So yesterday I had my third game of Malifaux. Perdita (me) vs. Pandora. I was very curious about this game as Dita is labelled as the Anti-Neverborn Master and my opponent just had one game on his record. The game started with an absolute blast for me and then turned into my biggest nightmare... I'll try to describe the game as good as possible. Maybe one of you discovers some great mistake I made or that I just had very bad luck. SS: 35 Strategy: Turf War Schemes: We decided to pick only 1 Scheme out of the generated pool so that we wouldn't overload our brains. Both of us decided to go for Assassinate. The other Schemes were: Protect Territory, Spring the Trap, Make Them Suffer and A Line in the Sand. Deployment: Standard Terrain: 4 Buildings circled around the middle of the board, so that the Turf-Marker was in the open space in the middle of the "village". A good amount of Ht1 walls scattered around the place and some other terrain like hills, swamp on the outskirts of the table. My crew: The full Dita-Box. Trick Shooting for Perdita and Wade In for Francisco Enemy crew: Pandora Teddy 3 Sorrows Doppelganger and some Upgrades I don't remember My opponent deployed everything hidden behind one of the buildings and I deployed everything in the gap between the building on my side, so that I could shoot him as soon as he moved something around on either side pf the building. Since he positioned himself more on the right side (from my perspective) I put Nino on the left flank, so that had a good look on the centre of the board and into the enemy deployment. After the first turn I was totally stoked. I moved everything up the middle to get into a good position for scoring and shooting. Hold this and El Mayor on Dita. Francisco up front. My opponent hugged the building with everything except Teddy. Teddy was right up my face in an instant and engaged Francisco. Bad for him as Francisco and Dita got rid of him really quick. Nino could bring a Sorrow down to 1 Wd and with some Wd transfers the enemy did and a bit of shooting from Dita I managed to get Pandora down to 5 Wd. Now all I had to do was to get these last 5 Wds off of her and the game would be set...well so I thought... After the first turn shit hit the fan and the family dropped like a hot knife cuts through butter. With the Sorrows right in front of me, paralyse, telling me when to activate and many lost Wp duels (which means Hard to Kill was just useless...) I ended up with just Papa, Nino and the Nephilim. Papa was forced to shoot on himself...exploded...and took the last Sorrow with him leaving my opponent with the Doppelganger (some missing Wd) and Pandora (4 Wd left) and myself with the Nephilim (full Wd) and Nino (full Wd). Since he just hugged one building out of sight of Nino, but within 6" of the Marker and Nino standing on the other end of the table I called the game and ended this misery (since he got his Assassination before turn 4 he had more VP anyway). The game ended with a 2:7 loss for me. Our evaluation is that it was the Strategy that doomed me. Being forced to get at least 2 models to the centre (with my opponent doing the same) I couldn't keep my distance without loosing VP.

Pistoleros are on the list, I want the whole family ^^ But I'll have to wait until the plastic models are out. I hate metal...

What sort of tokens are we talking about? I found red ones with rams on them, seems guildy enough to me. A lot of the stuff looks nice! On the pictures they are red, but if you want to choose the color for your order there is no red available. @Customeeple.com: Thanks for the clarification regarding the colors. I'll send you an email before I place an order.

I like the tokens. Just was about to make my own...but I think I might order some of those. Anybody an idea which color resembles the Guild? Orange?

@Dirial: Since I only played 2 games until now I want to play some mor on 35SS until I'm bit more comfortable with the general rules, schemes and strategies. But after that 50SS is the goal. @Hagisman: Tho problem ist...I don't like the models. Like in...really, really don't like. Even if they are good, I think I'll never buy them.

Thanks for your reply. After reading all your posts I reshuffled my list a bit and it now looks something like that: 1. Lady J Box (for DMs and a second master with a different playstyle than Perdita) 2. Austringers 3. Abuela (to complete the family) 4. Pathfinder Since we're only playing at 35SS right know that should be plenty of stuff to fiddle with. After that I'll start completing the rest of the Guild based on the looks and how they fit into my desired "theme".

Ah...now that you mention it. I should change my avatar ^^ Hm...ok. Death Marshals are the ones I want the most, but I've read that Austringers would be better and 3 DMs were a bit too much?

@Cate: Lone Marshall is also on the list on position 6+. Lucius is the last position. First the "real guild" and thenn slowly expanding to Neverborn (which is the faction I like the second most regarding the miniatures). So this would be a viable plan? First getting the Austringers, and then moving on with the additional boxes? @Dirial: Eh...what? *edit*: I've just seen that some online stores have more miniatures available, then listed in the Wyrd Store. Are these the old ones from 1st edition? Is my assumtpion right, that the miniatures listed in the Wyrd store are the only new edition models out there?

Hello there, I'm new to Malifaux and just had my firt 2 games. The first one was with brrowed 10 Thunders and the second game was with my own (Guild) crew. As first master I decided to go with Perdita. Since I had a fun time and I want to have a bit more flexibility for creating my crew, I'm thinking of expanding a bit. The only question is...what to get first. I made up a little lsit and wnated to hear some opinions from more experienced players. 1. Austringers 2. Lady J Box 3. Sonia Box 4. Pathfinder 5. Abuela After that there would be things like Guild Hounds, Riflemen, Pistoleros, Lucius Box etc. since most of these models aren't out yet. Any objections or ideas?
