  2. Last I had talked to @valhallan42nd there were still spots, but only a few for each. The webstore is closed so it is only sign up at event now. Either @valhallan42nd or @MVBrandt should be able to answer your question. Hopefully they arent too busy with last minute set up. It is a really great event and if you can swing it I would recommend it.

  5. Welcome all,

Games and Stuff in Glen Burnie, MD has a standing Malifaux evening every Thursday. The store is open all Thursdays until 9pm and the 2nd Thursday is open until Midnight. Players start showing up at 430pm with some arriving as late as 630pm. There are usually at least two henchman playing on Thursdays, but because of the number of stores in the area, there could be a few more than that.

Henchman are available for Demos as well as questions or even games. Games and Stuff has a very friendly Malifaux community and is always stocked with the latest Malifaux/ hobbying items.

Feel free to contact me for more information.

  6. None of us feel that your real life commitments should fall to the wayside and be replaced with events. Everyone is saying how nice it would be to have something that you can only get if you do events. It would boost event participation. Sometimes life gets in the way and you cant do the events. Wyrd, nor the store or the organizer, are excluding you. They just cant include you because of your life.

There will be means of you getting the item even if you cant directly purchase it from wyrd. It just might include the cost of the time that the people who did get it put into the events.

You created something people are extremely excited about.   Isn't it thrilling to have so many people so very passionate about your product?
We're even willing to tear each other apart.

...you may have created a devoted cult of cannibals..

    LOL. I think its true

  8. What both of you fail to see is that you are not entitled to anything wyrd makes. I support them keeping it in the henchman boxes. It will boost events and help local game stores. If you "dont like tournaments" or "cant make them", it looks like you will have to pay extra on ebay for those models. You can still get them but at a higher cost.

Bringing new people into a gaming community ought to be incentive enough to run more events. By offering special prize support strictly for players who compete, you're in fact limiting the community from expanding, and making it more exclusive to a select few.

This is false. How is limiting a special model hurting the community. All of the plastics are available to all players. This is an ALT model. You are missing the incentive to do organized events.

  10. It would because then people only interested in the models would buy them and not earn them. Like I stated, I play in every tournament I can, but the competition is getting stale because I always play the same people. Wyrd doesnt have to release this model to the general public for sale. I think it would boost events if it didn't. If you cant make time in your schedule to support local events and local game stores, maybe you shouldnt get this
