Librarians and Hanna are 2 different models, not all rules are in the core rule book. Many are in the second book crossroads, which contains all wave 2 models.

The issue I find at lower SS is that it really buffs certain abilities (like summoning) and helps masters that are powerful on their own without many upgrades. It can be fun, but overall 50ss seems to produce better games.

As someone who works at conventions I can understand the site not being updated, but unless that also means that those events have not been approved it doesn't take much for the organizers to post their schedule here to answer questions.

I just read the above, I'd look at Marcus-gods domain, hungers cry Myranda 4 rouges Myranda sits back and hands out positive defense flips and healing. Marcus locks people down with law of meat and howl. Necrons beat on stuff. So long as you don't need to scheme a ton it would probably be ok.

Probably not all that bad depending in the schemes actually, though 4 with myranda and upgrades on Marcus is probably better.

I think for most games 6 is probably too many .

Agreed, I feel like the same is true for many masters, so much depends on your style as a player. Even for further out scheming I often find that canines and molemen are enough. My silurids usually get put in for things like deliver a message or plant explosives where a quick strike is needed.

I'm much less sold on silurids, they are good but 7 stones is pretty pricey so I rarely run more than (I rarely run even 1.)1. I agree there is no one crew what you will find is that there are models that will suit your play style, and you will likely take those frequently. For example I almost always run Miranda, one razorspine rattler, and at least one mole man, then fill in around that. Recently I've been including Cassandra a lot as she works well with molemen (with nimble), and practiced productions is a super powerful upgrade IMO.

I think a large part of it is that people just use these boards. Not to say both could not see use, but the dakka section does not see ver many posts. I also think me being a less list based game makes it harder to discuss in a text format than some other games.

Simply put no you don't. Either you can play with wave one only, or simply use the model rules found on the cards. So you can simply buy the second wave faction arsenal decks, to obtain the rules for models found in crossroads. Or if you wait for plastic models you will get the cards with those models. I recommend buying crossroads if you want the fluff and special scenarios (or rules for all wave 2 models, not just one faction), but it contains no core game rules needed to play the game.
