  1. Hi all, We're planning some dedicated Malifaux days at our FLGS. One idea on the table is to prepare differently themed boards (wild west, graveyard, eastern, etc) and run the story encounters. Many of these story encounters require special markers - eg the poisonous plants, book markers, shrines, etc. Has anybody made or bought some of these? What did you use? Where did you buy them from? I know we could make some out of card or similar but I imagine a giant carnivorous plant would look prety awesome on the table! Thank you.
  2. Just wanted to quickly say that as someone new to Malifaux (and wargames in general to some extent) I really appreciate the work that is going into the wiki. It speaks volumes about the community that love this game and the company that created it. Awesome work y'all. Thank you.
  3. Thanks for all your replies. I was obviously reading it wrong, maybe based on a literal interpretation flavoured with a preconception from playing warmachine. Good to know the correct procedure now. Cheers.
  4. Hey guys and girls... I'd be grateful if someone could confirm my interpretation of the disegaging rules, specifically where two models are initially outside of each other's melee range but then one activates and wants to walk through the melee range of another. I assume that at the point that the walking model would leave the other's melee range (or vice versa), the other model can choose to make a disengaging strike, which if successful would cancel the whole of the walking model's movement. Is this correct? However you can presumably charge past another model and leave its melee range without triggering a disengaging strike? Thanks in advance for any advice.
  5. Further to the previous discussion, I notice that the plastic guild models that aren't M2E have new cards amongst the second wave, so won't be in the Arsenal box anyway! I assume the Arsenal box is still worth getting for upgrade cards though.
  6. Howdy y'all, I’ve recently picked up Malifaux and am already planning my future shopping lists to expand on my first couple of crew boxes. They are both the new plastic M2E crew boxes (Sonnia and Perdita). I would like my future purchases to be in plastic as I like the new sculpts (compare the metal and plastic Purifying Flame, for example) and I’d like to keep a consistent “look” to my collection. I’m going to buy an Arsenal box so I don’t mind getting stuff released prior to M2E. I would be grateful for your help with a couple of questions I have: Am I right in thinking that all current releases are a either (i) metal 1st edition, (ii) plastic 1st edition, or (iii) plastic M2E releases? So if it’s M2E it must be plastic and if it’s metal it must be 1st edition? Will all metal sculpts be released in plastic eventually? Presumably the plastic first edition models will simply need their cards changing and will then be re-badged as M2E? Is there a way to tell from the product code whether something is metal/plastic and whether it’s 1st edition/M2E? Is there a list somewhere of everything that’s available, whether it’s metal or plastic, and whether it’s 1st edition or M2E? Sorry for asking so many questions but your help will be much appreciated. Thank you.
