Because this gets bandied about every so often: people need to realize that Wyrd NEVER, EVER will change the rare value of something that already has a box > than that value. And rightly so ...

Although as a largely Titania player, I'd love for Dig Their Graves to be the Always scheme...
Ten Thunders with their Low River Monks would approve very much, too. ^^

D'oh, I missed that A Gremlin's Luck is Limited, too.
So, yeah, that sounds nasty. O.o
*edit: You could sneak in some additional Lightning Storm, too, couldn't you?

Thanks for the explanation. I guess both of them are cheap enough, and Wong doesn't really NEED any upgrade apart from Ooo Glowy, that it's okay for those occasional upgrades. What are your experiences with A Gremlin's Luck (which is the one I see most besides Ooo Glowy, that's why I'm asking all this ... :))?

Thanks for the reports, and congrats on the placing.
Did you get much use out of Do Over and Dirty Cheater for Wong throughout the games?

Yeah, I made the same mistake before - would have been nice, though.

Fugue State can. Just nobody ever uses that. :-P

Monks of Low River and Peaceful Waters would get around Zipp's aura in the middle nicely, though, wouldn't they?
I like them for Yan Lo anyway, and it seems they might have been helpful.

Hi there,
I own all factions apart from Gremlins (since they aren't a real faction, I thought I was safe from them), but now I feel like I'm missing some Gremlins in my life.
Anybody got any they wanna get rid of? Mainly looking for the crews of Wong, So'mer, Ophelia and Zipp, but might by tempted by the others, too.
And the usual useful stuff like Slop Haulers, Burt, Merris, etc.
Situated in Germany.

Yup. I was new to Malifaux not too long ago, and I found that there's a curve that experienced players forget.
This. Awesome post.
It annoys me no end when new players ask 'What should I play' and all they get is: 'Depends'.
That's just not how it works in real life as a newb.

I sound like a broken record, but I always enjoy your reports, and this time with six games no less!
Thanks for that, and wow, that last game was brutal!
On the other hand, it sometimes seems like you're unstoppable, so it's nice knowing that even you can lose (once in a blue moon).

I usually play Hamelin with Survivalist, so unless I'm facing a really killy, aggressive crew, I'm usually not too worried about using up that first Stolen.

Some hench(wo)men, like Alyce, also do things nobody else (apart from Leveticus) can ...

Cool report, thanks for that.
Nice dramatic catch-up towards the end, a pity that you didn't get even in the end.

Depends ... ^^
If I start with 2+ rats and/or have two that I can burn with Obedient Wretch, there's usually no need to sacc the Stolen. But if points are tight and I start without any rats, or don't have any to burn, I might even sac two.

He can also summon one or even two, so yes, activations with Hamelin should never be a problem ...

No.
Forum does funny stuff with embedded links. I changed it to display URL instead, now it should work ...

Thanks Pyrflamme. I would like to try and find something that is aesthetically pleasing when it comes to markers and tokens. I know it's a mechanic of most every tabletop game but they have always seemed to detract from the ambience of the board that your lovely scenery and painted models have worked hard to achieve. A necessary evil but I'll see if I can't get creative with them when I understand more about them.
Maybe take a look here: http://themostexcellentandawesomeforumever-wyrd.com/topic/122275-homemade-cabochon-tokens/

Alternate Nekima

Love her ... apart from that dopey sword. And I dislike that enough that I'll be sticking to 'old Nekima'.
