But have you actually deleted Masters such as Lilith/Nico/Collodi from the game?...
Excellent question!
Some of the Masters have suffered setbacks that have removed them from Malifaux's stage. Lilith has been imprisoned within Nythera, Nicodem was killed by Lady Justice, Ramos is locked up in a Guild jail cell in Vienna, and Collodi... well, it's final fate hasn't been revealed quite yet.
All of these Masters (and their totems) will receive updated stat cards in M3E in a special "Dead Man's Hand" pack. By default, they will not be tournament legal (due to being absent in the story), but an option will exist to allow these "Dead Man's Hand" Masters to be played in tournaments that wish to allow it.

They are first edition, but I made sure to write 2nd edition in such a way that it was backwards compatible with all three supplements. With a handful of changes (such as some 1st edition skills being consolidated into other skills), all three supplements should work just fine for you.

How exactly does this interact? Is the maximum rank value of whatever you can summon equal based of of the TN of the manifested spell slot?
Because Manifested Powers are each unique to the character that created them, many of those answers depend upon the specific character in question.
Some characters will have fixed summoning, where they can only summon a bear or a dog. Others will be able to summon any animal that meets the TN requirements.
10 minutes ago, mthomas0738 said:Can you only summon one specific beast per instance of the spell in manifested form?
Most of the time, there is no limit to how many animals may be summoned, but again, if it makes sense for the Manifested Power (perhaps the Fated became magically linked to Gorbo, Death Bear), then they might only be able to summon the one animal.
10 minutes ago, mthomas0738 said:Does the value of what you can summon go up as you take mage levels? Or does the manifested spell just leave it as is and treat it as a 5T spell as far as limitations?
Once created, Manifested Powers do not change unless a specific abilities allows it (such as the Mage's Talents adding triggers to her Manifested Powers).

Another question:
Does gaining/increasing a Fated's Toughness Skill also increase their Wd Aspect?
Yes.
53 minutes ago, Bazlord_Prime said:Also, from the Skill Advancement options given out by the Fatemaster at the Epilogue, if the Fated takes one as a new Skill at Rank 1, can they then use their 1 XP to increase Rank 2 in an existing Skill as well? Or gain another new Skill at Rank 1? And can that Skill be absolutely anything, or should it still be from the options presented by the FM, plus any options given by their particular Pursuit?
Characters can only learn one Skill per session, and it must come from either the list given to them by the Fatemaster in the Epilogue or from Skills allowed by the Fated's "On the Pursuit" Talent. If the character does not have any ranks in the Skill, they gain 1 rank for free. If they have 1 or more Ranks in the Skill, they may spend XP equal to the Skill's current rank to increase its Rank by +1.

what if the board is set up well and things are in cover?
If the opponent's entire crew is in cover, then you can just move up, focus, and fire a single shot.
Pretty much the same as any other shooting model, really.

Tara using Pull the Void on Lazarus to make him fast has carried me through a few tournaments. It lets him walk forward and Autofire to drop a whole lot of damage into one place.

Another question tho:
How do y'all resolve Destiny steps: in the order they come in, or randomly as opportunity allows? Feels like the last part of the Destiny phrase should probably always be done last, at least.
They are written with the understanding that they will be completed in order.

1) Provided that the corpse is mostly intact, yes.
2) Subordinate characters don't have fate hands. They're controlled by one of the Fated.
Fx. Treat them like robots. You can send them out to do stuff, but they won't really be able to change their plan or adapt all that well to things that change. They are also very stupid, with Intellect -5 and Cunning -5. They likely don't understand the concept of protection money, and most can't talk to tell people what they want. Plus, lone undead wandering around the city are likely to get shot and killed by guards or just citizens with guns.

Hey
When a Mage create his manifested power, can the player choose the skill, aspect and suit of his power?
Yes, but it has to be approved with your Fatemaster, so work with them to come up with something you're both happy with.

I’ve been checking for an app update regularly but nothing so far... Came here to see if it had been mentioned and confirmed.
Is someone on pushing the changes through @Mason? You know these mysterious informations don’t you? ;D
We've sent the information on to the App company, so now we're waiting just like you.

Trying to game decay to get blasts out of it is obnoxiously card intensive in a resser crew. You will typically need to cheat up the attack, down the defense, and then finally the actual damage flip. The hand requirements this creates are very strange.
Remember, you can always target enemy models with Decay.

The Cheating Fate mechanical more or less requires the PCs to know the numbers that they're aiming for in order to work in any sort of satisfying way.

Could have reduced Ironsides' Cache of 5 IMO. Why she has 5 even after she has been given the built in Tome on Df and 2 amazing upgrades is beyond me. Meanwhile, Von Schill still has 1.
This errata is only for things which are breaking the game (or just inherently broken, like Burn Out). Ironsides' Cache may or may not be higher than needed, but either way, she's not rolling over her opponents because of it.

Hello everyone!
In July, we release our critical errata, which is aimed at fixing important issues that are warping the game. This time around, we only have two primary concerns which we are addressing, namely Sandeep and Nicodem.
Sandeep Desai
For two years now, Sandeep has proven to be incredibly versatile, to the point where he has become something of a staple at tournaments. By itself that's not a problem, but Sandeep's effectiveness has pushed other Arcanist masters out of the spotlight, so we'll be reigning him in a bit.
- Cache reduced to 2. This new Cache is more reflective of Sandeep's power level.
- Beacon Ca penalty increased to -2. Sandeep's Beacon is a powerful tool, but his Crew was using it a bit too efficiently. This should apply a bit more pressure onto Sandeep's Crew when it comes to hitting the TNs of borrowed Actions.
- Removed Impossible to Wound. This loss will make Sandeep considerably more fragile and, thus, make positioning more important for Sandeep and his removal easier for his opponent.
Nicodem
Nicodem was strong when M2E first released, and he has only gained in strength since then. His ability to use Undead models more effectively than other Masters has made him an increasingly strong choice, to the point where he has started to crowd out other Resurrectionist Masters and warp the design process. To that end, we will be reigning his power level in, both on his base card and his most popular upgrade.
- Wounds reduced to 12. This should make Nicodem a bit more vulnerable to assassination attempts.
- Re-animator now summons Undead in at one Wound remaining, rather than half their Wounds. This will make his summoned models more vulnerable and apply pressure on Nicodem by forcing him to either summon more fragile models or to spend AP healing them with Decay.
Undertaker (Upgrade)
- I Can Use That! now only affects non-Peon models, and it only functions when they are killed (not sacrificed). This should prevent the worst of Nicodem's abusive use of this Ability and bring it back in line with the Upgrade's cost.
- The Patchwork trigger now has reduced range and healing, which, when combined with Nicodem's Re-animator changes above, should prevent him from healing up his summoned models quite as easily.
Additionally, we are also issuing errata on Jakob Lynch's Burn Out Upgrade in order to correct a typo that rendered it less than useful.
Burn Out
- The Ability now references the Brilliance Characteristic instead of the Brilliance Condition.
PDF versions of the new cards are attached below, and they will be added to our website's errata page shortly. If you would like physical copies of the changed cards, they will also be available on DriveThruRPG very soon.

Thank you, I must have missed it. Who was the most popular character and what consequences were there for the storyline?
The most popular character isn't something that has stuck in my mind, unfortunately.
As for consequences, the Arcanists are gaining a boon in the story, which you'll see before too long.

Thank you. I don't recall reading any Stitch in Time results. Have they been published?
Yes, we made them public at the time.
I don't believe that the forum exists anymore, but the Arcanists claimed victory.

And what about the "canonical" story end? Dead, sleeping or alive?
That will be addressed in the appropriate Other Side expansion book.

What exactly do the numbers mean?
Those are number of people that played characters of that Faction or Fatemasters that voted for that Faction.

Can anyone say for sure if Bayou Bash can be played on a custom 3x3 board? I am making a pretty intricate dirt track for Gaslands and would love to be able to play Bash on it too!
I can see it being possible, but it would take some work, such as dividing the board into a lot of spaces.

Hey everyone!
I've finished tabulating the final results of the Obsidian Gate worldwide event!
All in all, we had pretty even representation in the event, with the Guild performing very well despite only having a single character. This is most likely a combination of Karlheinz being a sniper (snipers are cool) and a member of a readily identifiable Malifaux faction.
In the end, though, the King's Empire claimed victory, much of it on the shoulders of Dr. John Watson, who was a huge hit among players and among one of the most popular characters in the event (followed by a Zesiro Selassia, Abel Negasi, Nakazawa Sadao, and Karlheinz Benewitz, all of whom were more or less tied in playtime).
As a result, the King's Empire will be receiving a new adjunct in the form of Dr. John Watson!
Thanks to everyone who played in the adventure! We hope that you enjoyed your games as well as a glimpse at what we've got coming up for The Other Side.

All of the masters will have stat cards at release.
Even the dead and missing ones, per my post above.
