Hi, just a couple of questions that have come up recently in play.... 1. Is the Emberling (Mei Feng Totem) meant to be insignificant? IT doesn't say so, but most totems are. 2. Coryphee's Dance partner action has Ca 5[t] / TN: 9[M]. Is That correct? Seems odd. 3. Does Focus dissapear in upkeep? It seems to only go when you use it. In fact a good chunk of conditions do not go in upkeep (slow,fast, paralyse, defensive) Thanks

on a similar note, can one model score 2 markers? it doesn't say they cannot, just that a friendly model must be within 2". We have frequently placed 2 markers 4" apart, and then moved the figure in between them so it is within 2" of both. never noticed before that you didn't have to reveal for 3VP tho..

Since it will be a while til the wave 2 figures come out i'm curious what people have used for the TT figures without models; monks, shen, tengu, snipers etc. I'dlove to run some but dont want to spend a fortune to then replace anyway!

Thinking about it. But it would be my first games outside my group of mates let alone first tournament. Bit apprehensive at the thought... But I live on the outskirts of Sheffield and am free. Losing against my wife in her first ever game doesn't exactly inspire me either!!

I must be mis-reading the book but i don't get mood swing. It seems to read controlling player may activate the model. So surely they can choose not to, in which case incite is pointless. So what am i missing? The searches i tried implied you can set activation order but my reading of the wording in the book doesn't mesh with that. Thanks

So plenty of people who backed the game have the pdf right? So why is no-one talking about it. I can't find blogs about the game, no reviews, few posts. Most big RPGs go mad with posts when just a preorder or draft goes online (hackers guide, numenera, mindjammer, 13th age) but with TTB there is nothing. Surely the NDAs are over now? Seems hard to belive the game can survive if there is this little talk about it. Sorry for rant...just worried

So. The kickstarter backers have been sent a pdf, which means it exists. Why not sell it? Waiting until august for the books is daft...

I missed the KS and i imagine the books will take a while to be out... but will there be a PDF? with the exception of Star Wars, all RPGs have PDFs nowadays

Good point. but i'm only likely to read the fluff once. I just hope i don't have to spend a fortune getting updates to stats i already have - buts that everyone - not just me. The new cards should be FREE for pdf and cost for decks. Otherwise replacing cards for 3 or 4 factions could be like £30-40...thats the cost of 2 starters! Sorry to be negative, but right now the news makes me not want to play the game...until the new version comes out proper.

Having just got into Malifaux in the last month, and buying all the books i have to say i'm pretty annoyed. I've only just started getting used to rules and new ones will be out soon! Are my books gonna be useless? If the cards are getting redesigned my current ones seem a waste... I guess if you've been playing a while this is great...for a newbie, not so much.

I just want check the injuries rule. When a model is killed you do a flip (and the killing/sacrificing player can reflip) on a 10+ they are finished off - which means they are out of the game and get to roll for an injury later Does that mean on 1-9 they are dead? to me that seems that you could be out of the campaign in one match if it goes badly. In losing you probably wouldnt have enough money to buy replacements, so go into the next game weaker...and lose that...Even if you win, it seems like you would spend most of your GS buying replacements for dead models rather than getting anything new. Also the reflip means particularly evil players can cheat low to kill your forces for the future. I thought about starting a campaign with my group but we changed our minds as we thought the game might suddenly become super defensive. In games like Mordenheim, Necromunda and Blood Bowl player deaths are quite rare - or in the case of BB you have a massive roster so its not so bad.

Its funny. i only got into warmahordes in the summer but have found loads of places locally that sell figures (although 1 has stopped and 1 is closing down) but nowhere sells Malifaux! in fact theres a shop that sells anima! no infinity either though...

That would be great if they did. I bought a lot of warmahordes from them last year, but they seem to have less in stock now. Wish they stocked a bit less GW, its not like theres nowhere to buy it! Is there anywhere else local-ish to buy? If not where is best online?

First game - all proxies - Lady J v Seamus. Really enjoyed it, so i'm converted! took a while to get a hang of some rules - got no rulebook and the PDF isn't clear on some things, and has some things in funny places. Played half of game getting hard to wound wrong (bad for me - lost all me belles!) Didn't work out you only get one (0) actions per turn until near end. Game still felt very quick despite constant checking of rules, cards and internet. biggest query by end was this: why on the stat cards for some spells and triggers are some suit symbols greyed out, and some black? On madame i had some with one white crow, one black, two blacks, and some with a white and a black. We figured they meant a combination of with stat or with card...but couldn't work out what! looking forward to getting some figures (if i can find a FLGS that sells em) and a rulebook...plus some terraclips. Amazon US seemed to be showing ones from other suppliers...no joy.

I'm having problems with this also. I've checked every website i can find and they are all out of stock. Not a great sign if i can't even buy a copy of the rules. On a similar note, do starter boxes come with rules?
