  1. Yeah spelling error on my part (also meen=mean^), yes I ment Chiaki, the niece. By pulse I mean her purity spell, which is a pulse. This model's controller pushes all NON-LIVING models directly away from this model until those models reach the maximum range of this spell. Spirit qualify for this spell as they are non-living, and Izamu qualifies for this spell as he is undead. Also why only take Izamu. Chiaki has utility written all over her. Models within 2" heal a wound at the start of their activation. She can get rid of any status, (poison, brilliance, slow, paralyze, ect.) and she give AMAZING movement bonuses to the entirety of a Kirai list. As far as Izamu, he has immune to influence which means he would not be effected by Chiaki and her purity spell, thus the reason to take the onryo at the start. This allows you to use the spell mark of jigoku to make Izamu loose immunity to WP duals, thus allowing chiaki to be able to purity him. Pretty sure Nekima has a magical weapon, which would qualify for full damage against spirits not 1/2.
  2. I posted something like this in another thread wondering how Kirai gets around Shared Slaughter. My ideas are to keep the start low with spirits. Run the 5 seishen and maybe a datsu-ba. I like the datsu-ba for the added attempts at healing and that is about all. The rest of the list is Izamu and other models of you choice (I recommend a chikrai). The main focus here is to summon 2, yes 2, shikome on turn one. Each one of these guys/girls (whatever these ugloy models are) are uneffected by slow when summoned. The goal here is to use hunting parter with one onto the other and vice versa. These two paired together will just obliterate the bored. This is where the datsu-ba plays a vital role in keeping them alive, along with LL and Kirai. Izamu is in there for the added bonus of having LL make him a perma-spirit (which also can single handedly win games{object 2 spirit for the WIN}) an attack landing up to 10 wounds will only do 3 to him. Now add all this up and add in Chikrai to get rid of any negative effect (yes even things like brilliance) will also help. On the plus side you can start with an Onryo out and make Izamu lose resistance to WP duals, then Chikrai can move this whole cluster around quite nicely. When it comes to Shared Slaughter my take is point denial. Don't worry about killing his stuff, that will come all to easily, worry about keeping your stuff alive to keep the pressure on. Plus all these are spirits and Lilith lists (aside from Nekima) can't really do anything to you (1/2 wounds) Hope this helps. I played a friend with the exact same list (it's net build) and managed to not lose a single model! Oh, after the initial summoning of the two shikome try to make Kirai a spirit so datsu-ba, LL, and herself can get some healing on. THEN turn two you can summon the Ikyro up the field and pull everyone in (and then have Chikrai pulse them all up before activations) Have fun and let us know how your murder fest goes against Lilith!
  3. Honestly, with Shared Slaughter I do just that, SLAUGHTER. Start out basic and summon 2 shikome first turn, then have each one use hunting partner on each other every turn....ends games REAL quick. I usually run Datsu-ba just for added healing, as keeping those two alive to murder the bored is critical. If you run a basic list at the start and summon the goodies you can fit in Izamu and then LL him into perma-spirit. . .which also helps to end the game. Having 3-4 models that are almost impossible to kill is my philosiphy, rather then tons of shikome in reserve and gaki. Taken out lilith grow lists without losing a model this way. I'm sure there is someone out there that has a better idea, but hey that's just my two cents.
  4. Hey, this is Matt, Just decided to log in an report my points so far. Matt vs. Tyler Lilith thought about distracting Kirai, but ended up failing. Kirai kept strong pressure through the whole game, with just enough seishen to make the push. Matt (8) Tyler (0) MVP goes to Datsu Ba for a late game murder fest. Matt vs. Jason Jacob Lynch made a quick pack with the hungering darkness, but not enough power was transfered as Yan Lo pushed Izamu straight into the thick off things. Matt (8) Jason (0) MVP goes to Chakrai. . . removing brilliance. 16 so far, still need to try and pick up 2 more 1 point games. Decided that the two armies I brought were quite SS reliant so I did not attempt the challenge this week. The challenge can only be taken in the real league games right, not the pick up ones?
  5. I noticed that you have a pretty decent Kirai list. . . . . but maybe you should pick up something as simple as gaki to round that out.
  6. This is a real quick question. The Lost Love is able to copy one of it's masters (1) spells. With a red joker he is able to use Kirai's summon spirit to meet the casting of 17. Here is where it gets tricky, as I want to summon a Onryo. The spell reads: sacrifice a spirit, inflict 2 wds on this model, summon one Onryo. Do I need to meet all aspects of this in the order listed in order to complete the spell. What I want to do is sacrifice the Lost Love (as a spirit) but then would him not being able to take the 2 wds stop the spell from being cast? I only ask this, because it came up at a crucial point in the game where I ran out of steam and seishen.
  7. $%^& that changes alot. oops, lmao.
  8. Guess I should have touched on the Pandora posts that were going around as well. If you read the above you get a sense of the quickness to Izamu, in a Yan Lo list. I played against pandora and won horribly. Again, the secret comes from the recurssion. What the pushing and walking allows is for you to get right in the face of the sorrows and what not and more times than not you kill them in one hit. Pandora only doing wounds is better then all the linked guys helping to do 3-4 wounds for each WP dual lost. Izamu shines because like said he one hit kills the support, and comes back to do it again. Pandora doesnt care how big you are because they are all single wounds from each source, so when you loose a WP dual pandora hits you for one, the sorrow hits you for one, ect. so they are different sources, IE object 2 doesnt matter. BUT izamu doesnt care, because as long as he killed one support piece, it makes him live that much longer when he comes back as starts all over. I have stopped the dreamer from running around the board, backed him into a corner on turn 3. I have murdered colladi, reposte is so disgusting (and yes, you get to heal on severe reposte damage) resummoning of izamu obliterates pandora. Again, I stand firm in. . . kill the corpse counters, and thats about it. ---------- Post added at 09:20 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:18 AM ---------- 2. . . Yan, soul porter, and izamu can activate simultaneous. so you pulse with the niece first.
  9. First, if taken with Yan Lo, I don't know much that can stop him. Yan has an ability to turn him into a spirit as well, and the soul porter and nice can push him around as efficiently as kirai. Now given that can also bring him back once he is dead, it makes this formidable beat stick even more aggressive. Keep in mind that spirits do not drop corpse counters, so if you plan on making him a spirit, either with yan lo or kirai, then you will need to scavange some from your opponent hopefully. knowing this, I usually never turn him into a spirit. I usually just allow him to die, as yan can pick up the relequary form 8" and can be within 6" of corpse counters to be able to use them to summon Izamu back. In all honesty, I don't know how you can get around this. Izamu is even given a 22" threat range in a Yan lo list. The niece can 6" pulse him, soul porter can make him move twice (8") and he can walk twice (8") and use melee expert to get a hit off. My opponents usually have no problems killing him, even 2-3 times a game. It's the reacurssion that makes him disgusting. So, my post doesn't come to tactica on how to kill him, as this can be done quite easily. What I suggest is running corpse counter removal, such as guild. Then when you do kill him you can guarantee that he stays that way.
  10. Thanks that clears that up, AND makes all the games that I've been landslide winning even better! I figured controlled ment like "I" controlled, such as in my models. Again thanks for the clear up.
  11. How were you getting chi off the opponents models dying? It specifically says when a controlled model dies?
