  1. I taught my wife the basics of painting miniatures from what I know and with me only doing the details on the Sorrows. She did the base coat, dry brushing and washing and I just dot their eyes and teeth. As for the Teddy, I tackled him and went with a purple fur after my wife wanting him to look that way. We gave him a bit of a care bear look with the heart on his chest. Overall, he looks good. The teeth are very tricky.
  2. I've always been artistic by nature so this feels natural to me. I'm glad everyone likes them. I'll have to finish up with The Dreamer, Coppelius, Teddy and Lord Chompy Bits. Teddy looks easy to paint.
  3. I put them on their bases, meaning all I have left is to seal them. You'll also notice I repainted the purple Daydream and he looks a lot better. The green guy still looks rough but I'm happy enough and have no desire to repaint him.
  4. I finished bases today and I need to repaint the purple fellow since he chipped badly when I removed him from his base. He looked really rough anyways so at least he will look better.
  5. Hello! I'm new to painting miniatures and with Malifaux, these are the first miniatures I have ever painted. I want to go ahead and post my Dreamer's crew as I get them painted. I'm going to paint bases for them and rebase them at some point. They are not sealed in varnish yet, either. Tell me what you think!
  6. I live in Dublin, OH which is a suburb of Columbus, OH. The Guardtower has "Malifaux Day" every Saturday which generously offers a 10% discount on Malifaux products on that day. There's a handful of players, including my wife and I who are new to the game, and we'd like to see more central Ohio players come out. Feel free to contact me.
  7. What do you use to carry your miniatures? My wife and I are playing Malifaux, our first miniatures game, and I don't know what is the most durable, cost effective and safe place to store my crews. I don't want to pay an arm and a leg but I want to keep my models safe.
  8. I never liked miniature gaming. The initial investment for something I may not like coupled with the daunting task of painting seemed unwieldy. Then my friend introduced me to Malifaux. The setting was diverse enough to appeal to me (steampunk, horror, western, victorian, ect, all in one setting) and realizing I didn't need a loan to get started, I was hooked. I picked up The Dreamer's box set, added some Daydreams and an Insidious Madness, and I'm content. My buddy demoed two games and I just got to play my own game with my own crew. I really enjoyed it! I've even cleaned up my models, primed them, and glued them to bases with help from my local gaming store. I'm now excited to pick up another crew. I've found local players so I can't say how much I enjoyed the game. Kyle
