    I am fine with resist duels having a defender, really. But in the RM the resisting model is refered to as the "resisting model" never as a defender. So, just looking for a clarification.

    I was not arguing i was just wondering how he got to that conclusion based on the printing of the rules. No offense meant, and i will never post again. Nice group.

    I understand the difference. It was said that if a spell targets something that model is a defender. However a resist is a simple duel that is resolved using the casting total. So immune to influence would not work against a spell it would seem.

    The ability for Reinforced says "cannot be modified or ignored". Modification is + and -. If the armor was just supposed to be "cannot be ignored" then they would have printed that.

    Evasive is not a modification to his armor, it is a seperate ability that kicks in when blast damage is done and reacts seperately from the armor (yes both will apply to blast damage). However, "stacking" is a play with words that tries to get around "modifying", they are the same. So Lazarus cannot stack (modify) his armor by absorbing it from a construct or so it seems to me.

    I noticed that the "defender" references on pp28-29 are for opposed duels (player stat -> player stat) not simple duels (player stat -> target number). The question truly is: Is there a defender in a simple duel? If so then immune to influence makes them untouchable by any willpower based attacks or abilities.
