Hi!
I have been painting 40k for about 2 years now and after taking a long break off and selling all my stuff I have started to rejoin the world of wargaming and hobby again with this fine game. I played it a little while back and was blown away by the sheer awesomeness of the game mechanic and I really like the miniatures. I had Pandora and Justice starters ready to go and have decided to try my hand at painting up the Pandora crew first to see how it goes. Damn the minis are small and thin, there's tonnes of detail in there at a level I am not used to painting, lots of blending as well which is not really my strong suit.
The good thing about metal at least is I can strip them back easily and start again if I feel like I have made too much of a mess of the paint jobs.
I started with the Sorrows first, I wanted to mix up the colours a bit from the box art and have gone with a variety. Then there's the Primordial Magic, I wanted it to look like it was going from the jar and becoming more of a physical thing the higher up it got to the point where it's taken a bite out of some unlucky peon. Next up will be Pandora herself and the two kids.
I have taken a fairly lazy approach to basing them, using the counters from the Terraclips sets as an insert and gluing them on top. Suits the board at least!
