  1. Are you still giving out a blight counter on weak?

I thought because you are dealt 0 Dg, you don't lose wounds and so you are not considered wounded for the purpose of giving a blight counter.

So the big question is; are you wounded if you take 0 damage?

  2. Hi,

I'm usually a Neverborn player, but before you start hurling rotten tomatoes and fresh limbs at me, (wether because i am Neverborn or it's just the initiation rights!) I just picked up a Nicodem box set, and i was wondering how many zombies would i summon, on average?

I've already got 6 Mindless Zombies, 6 living impaired (which i use as zombies) and i'm thinking of picking up a box of Victorian Zombies (10 in a box).

I only ask, because i've got the box set, etc, but i didn't play yet and i don't want to end up going "uh oh, ran out of Zombies!"

And don't worry about budgets, etc. i've got some cash for the box of zombies, but i'm obviously not going to end up with a crazy collection of every zombie model imaginable! :P

I've heard the record so far is 34... would 22 be a good number?

  3. I've just had a crazy mispack recently, I opened a Molly box set, only to find that it was full of Kirai's instead. Sent the photo, etc. No email, I'm not saying I expect an email to say "thank you for the form, we'll resolve it, yada yada yada" but I would have thought that I would receive an email with an address so I can send the box with the Kirai set back and just wait for the Molly set to arrive.

If it was a single mini or a an extra piece, I wouldn't mind the small freebie, but to be perfectly honest, I wouldn't expect to keep Kirai's set and then have Molly's delivered to my door, without either paying for or returning the Kirai set. maybe somebody would jump at the opportunity for a BOGOFF deal (Buy One,Get One For Free), but in this case I'm just being honest and saying that I'm happy to send the Kirai's set and wait for Molly to arrive at my door step.

  4. I got the 2009 Christmas scenarios, but i was wondering if there are talks of creating new 2012 Christmas scenarios, or even another contest, similar to the Halloween contest we just had?

My local game's club has asked me to design a scenario, but on the grounds that there is a breakable Chocolate fortress and whenever you break a chunk or tower, you keep that chunk, and of course eat it!

I already took one of the Halloween scenarios and changed trick or treating to carol singing, and you get sweets/candy/chocs that way, but anyone got any creative ideas with getting cake/mince pies/chocolates/etc.

Who knows i might get the ball rolling for other clubs to use these ideas as well!

  5. I demo at 20/25SS games.

I'd normally give beginners; Lady J, Sonnia or Raputina.

Any crew that has the Master, "Bodyguard", & 3 X Minions, set up are highly recommended, less rules to worry about since over half the crew works the same, it's just the other two work differently.

The reason why i shy away at giving beginners Perdita, despite being simple to use, there's just too many rules for each individual which can be intimidating for a beginner.

The less "kinds" of models the better.

  6. Heroes & Legends Games is going to be hosting a Malifaux day at both their branches in Surbiton and Croydon.

Mostly just intro days to get people into the game, but also a good chance for people to clarify on rules and to get the Malifaux community together.

Although i'm not a Henchman, i will be volunteering at the event as rule-monger/Semi-Henchman.

The address for the Surbition Branch:

    289 Ewell Road

    Surbiton

    Surrey

    KT6 7AB

    0203 258 0054

    The Croydon Branch:

    25-27 St. George's Walk,

    Croydon, Surrey,

    CR0 1YH

    0208 686 6086

Any questions to either participate or to help (the more the merrier!), just give the guys a call.

Hope to see you there! :)

  7. Hi all,

The title explains it all, i'm thinking of applying to become a Henchman.

I enjoy the game and so do my group of friends. I counted that i gave about 8 demos in the last month. Of course i'm still learning the nooks and crannies of the game, but apart from that i seem to have a pretty solid understanding of the game. (So you could say i'm half a henchman already!)

I'm not just necessarily thinking of joining for the freebies, this game has been blooming because of my enthusiasm and plus for many of us who used to be GW players who are now moving on in life, when they first played the game, they can see themselves picking up a box and one or two clamshells.

Plus i've just applied to work for my local games store, if i do end up with the job, my "henchmanship" will boost the popularity of the game even further.

The only reason why i'm not trigger happy with the mouse to sign the forms is that i want to hear what it is like and how much commitment is required. I'm just afraid that sometimes i may not be able to fulfil the expectations of a henchman (because i'm on my final year of uni, and about to start a small business soon.)

So i'm looking for advice, testimonials, anything to give me an insight. I'm not expecting to hear everything, but what you feel is necessary.

    Thank you for your time,

    Pinoc
