  1. I started making terrain for my FLGS, and feel like putting the molds to some more use. I am looking for the new plastic kits - I have mostly 10 Thunders, as well as Tara, Latigo and Som'er box sets, but am open to any faction. I would prefer NIB, because I like to assemble models. Walls Swamp (I need to take a better pic. It's designed to be painted and used with water effects.) Rune wall (originally designed for another game, measures 4" long and 3/4" wide) Stone wall Pallisade (and a 50mm base objective marker; again, different game)
  2. Almost went with the Bruce Lee card sleeves, but the Dragon magazine is a classic. It had instructions (and plans!) for building your own cardstock castle, a useful article on supervillain groups, the Moon as an adventure location in Gamma World, dragon clerics (as in, that adult red dragon is a cleric, too - in addition to breathing fire on you, he can cast clerical spells), Wormy, Snarfquest. . . . heck, the ads alone have me feeling all nostalgic for the heady days when I was young and was still fairly new to RPGs.
  3. Lots to get rid off: WFB Dwarf - make an offer on the lot. Older metal bolt thrower. 6th ed, I think. Flame cannon - painted, 3rd edition (http://www.solegends.com/citcat19892suml/c89suml-074362-2-02.htm) Fire thrower - painted, 3rd edition (http://www.solegends.com/citcat19892suml/c89suml-074362-2-02.htm) Orcs 5 Savage Orc Boar Boyz - older metal sculpt (6th again, I think). 4 command models, 1 normal. Planned on modding these into a distinctive unit, never got around to it. Make offer. Undead 2 each of Wight #1, #3, #6 and #7, 1 of #2. (http://www.solegends.com/citcat1993/c93564-02.htm) Primed, partial paint on several. Make offer. 40k Eldar Harlequins - old metal models. 9 harlies, plus an eldar ranger. One is painted, the others are bare metal. Asking $40 (shipped) Crashed Aquilla shuttle (from Maccrage set) - I have one of these still on sprue (and unpainted). I have parts to another 3 of them - not complete, they all seem to be missing the biggest section. Mix of BTD dwarves and GW Squats. 9 models, asking $30 shipped. 40k Bitz IG Heavy weapon sprues - I have 6 of the ones that had the bodies, 6 of the ones that had the weapons. None are complete - I made weapon crews for my guard years ago, and then forgot about these things when I got rid of my guard army. The body sprues have the rifles, shovels, knives, sandbag and a few of the arms - I think they all have the mortar arms, not sure on the others. The heavy weapons ones have a variety of heavy weapons. This stuff is probably of most use to someone who wants to make looted wagons or make some Loota boyz, probably. Make an offer. Dark Age A friend of mine has decided that he no longer wants his Dark Age stuff, and wants me to get rid of it for him. He has the following: Dark Age Apocalypse (core rules) - 2 copies Dark Age Devastation Dragyri warband starter set Dragyri Death's Device (Ice Caste) Brood Mean Jellybean Brood Murtros (1) Brood Scion (1) The books looked to be in good shape. The Death's Device is assembled, but bare metal, and it looked like everything in the starter was still NIB. (I opened it, but did not see anything assembled or primed.) Pics available on request. He wants to move them all at once. The MSRP for all of them is $194.92. He'd like to get $105 for all of it, plus shipping. If you just want a copy of each of the rulebooks and the Dragyri, he'll sell them for $75 plus shipping. Warmachine Retribution softcover Forces book. Near mint, never read. Asking $20 (shipped) Terrain Dice Tower - made using Hirst Arts molds, cast in UltraCal 30. I never finished painting it (so it needs to be repainted or finished), but it works fine with 8mm and 12mm dice. Casino dice would probably get stuck. Asking $25 plus actual shipping costs. Looking for any of the following Malifaux figs: Perdita box set (and Sue) Hoffman box set Relic Hunters set Seamus set Masters of the Path set Kaeris set Dark Debts set Misaki set I'll also take cash, the Texico MERCS set. I might be interested in starter armies for Infinity, the core rules or starter packs for DeepWars, core rulebook and starter forces for Dropzone Commander, or the core rulebooks for Bolt Action, Hail Caesar, Pike and Shotte, or Black Powder.
  4. So, I've decided that my 2013 goal is to have every warlock and warcaster, just so I can run a "Who's the Boss" tourney. I'm looking for the following (and will update it as required): Haves: WM/H Retribution book Riflemen UA Malifaux Zoraida box set Wants: Cygnar 3Nemo Constance Blaize eCaine eHaley eStryker Cryx pGoreshade eGaspy 3Gaspy eDenny Mortenebra Scaverous eSkarre Venethrax Khador Orsus eIrusk Zerkova eSorscha Strakhov eVlad 3Vlad Menoth Habinger Reznik Thyra Vindictus Testament 3Kreoss Circle Cassius Grayle eKaya Kromac pKrueger eKrueger Legion Bethayne Kallus eLylyth Rhyas Saeryn eVayl Skorne Rasheth eMakeda Naaresh Trolls Borka Calandra eGrissel
  5. Glad to hear that you got to run another demo after I had to split. I still think that you let me win with Perdita though. I did sit down afterwards and try to figure out if I can get a Perdita crew and Sue, however.
  6. I picked up a Zoraida box set in a trade the other day. The problem is, I already had one - I don't need a second. So, I am looking for any of the following ones: Ramos Colette Kaeris Perdita Lady J Lucas Hoffman Seamus Nicodem Kirai Dreamer Pandora Lilith Leveticus I'm in the US, and have plenty of trades under the same nick over on Bartertown.
  7. Yeah - the local hobby store will rent out their airbrush by the day, and I'm pretty sure that I can actually take it home. So, before I buy, I'll be trying to get 6-8 hours (or more) just playing around with a brush, before I commit to buying anything. Thanks for all the advice, everyone! More advice is always welcome.
  8. Yeah, I know what you are talking about with the quick release. I'll probably pick one up at some point. As I said, I may go for the pistol grip later - but that's because I have one for my cans of spray paints & primers, and have used it for longer painting and priming sessions. Thus, it felt more "natural" when I tried it out at GenCon. It's a personal choice, obviously - just as is the case with much of the painting and modelling side of this hobby.
  9. Yeah, I know that I will have some extras to get - pretty sure that I can find those at the local Hobby Lobby. Unfortunately, the local Hobby Lobby carries some pretty poor compressors (IIRC), and just a few single-action brushes. I could drop the pen for now - it just seemed like a neat thing to get, and I could probably use it to line & letter faster than I could with a conventional brush.
  10. So, after years of thinking about it, I think the time has come for me to break down and actually buy an airbrush. I have several large projects coming up - a model railroad layout, lots of assorted terrain, and a lot of unpainted plastic & lead. I was originally thinking about getting a Grex XT kit, but have been looking into some other options. Was wondering what the more experienced airbrush people thought about this: Paasche FP-1/32 Inch Flow Pencil Paasche D3000R Airbrush Compressor w/ Storage Tank Paasche Talon TG-3F Set w/ all 3 head sizes and Fan Aircap It'll be under $300, with free shipping, so it fits my budget a bit better. In time, I may want to add one of the pistol grip sprayers, since airbrushing the terrain and layout are going to be big projects, and the pistol grip will probably be more comfortable over a long period of time.
  11. I suppose I should introduce myself, as a first post. My name is Rich (known elsewhere as the Army Altaholic), and I have been playing some form of miniature game or another since Battledroids. (Earlier, if you want to count Car Wars.) Easily since the mid-80s. I play (or own) a variety of different games - WFB and 40k of course, but also Warmachine, the Spartan game lines, and a few historicals. I confess that I have not actually played a game of Malifaux yet - I have heard good things about it and the figs are cool, so when I had the chance to snap some up in a trade, I did so. Now, I have to get over to the Wyrd booth at GenCon and learn how to play. And, I like the look of the Rail Crew - I might have to pick them up too.
