The team tournament is fixed crew which means you will use the same crew every game correct? Anyone know how many rounds there will be?

I'm on the side of the spell not having a target so it can not be counterspelled. I also feel the melee strike is still a melee strike. How would I get an official ruling on this?

if the judge uses bullets and blades (the 8 inch one) to strike a silent one: (1) can the silent one use counterspell? (2) does bulletproof work against the sword strike?

I do like that guardian/rail golem idea and I do have a watcher I plan on using. I am currently acquiring my initial Levi models and looking at different options could you amuse me with some more details on the arachnids/molly lists

An open question: What models do you hire with Leveticus that are not often discussed and for what reason do you hire them? Another question might be, what models have you tried with Leveticus and learned do not work well? Can someone direct me to the current "official" ruling on Marcus using Alpha on an enemy master and then sacrificing the master for a soulstone? Is this allowed?

yeah the rotten belles seem like they could be helpful, but my friend uses them against me and they never scare me too much. The "core" is more so just models I will most likely be taking for the time being based on my available models.

Looking for some input as I make my initial purchases: Levi Box Set Hollow Waif Blister Desolation Engine Rail Golem (also for my Mei Feng crew) Canine Remains Blister Watcher Blister Already have: Lazarus Bad Juju Eventually, I will get Ashes and Dust, but the 30+ investment on one figure is too much atm. My core for 25 ss would be: Levi Canine Remains (2ss) Watcher(3ss) Rusty Alyce(8ss) Then, depending on objectives/terrain I will take Bad Juju(10ss) leaving a 2ss pool or Rail Golem(9ss) leaving a 3ss pool At 35ss, I will run above core with some combination of the Rail Golem with either Lazarus or Bad Juju I am also looking into Ryle and/or Bette Noir. Also, some samurai punk zombies for objective games. What are your guys thoughts on this as a start?

As someone that started with Raspy, I would suggest buy the Kaeris box, use the fire gamin as ice gamin, forgo the Raspy boxset lol

I'm not sure if this is the right forum location for this, but has anyone ever prettied up some 50mm bases to make blast markers. Maybe not even necassarily for december's curse. If anyone has any pics/ideas to share to help spark my creativity on this, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Maybe someone can chime in on this: Arcane Effigy. I could not find it in the Malifaux Crew Builder -- is it not there or can Rasputina not take it? Personally at this point I expect I'll prefer the essence of power, but I was curious about the Arcane Effigy. EDIT: Nevermind, I just found it. However I'd still be interested in ppl's opinions of this model.

Yeah my next boxset for really expanding my options will probably be the kaeris. I like her alot, and the box comes with two gunsmiths and the fire gamins are nice for her.

I played my first Malifaux game last week and was hooked. I have bought the Rasputina Box Set, an Essence of Power, and a Silent One. My next game will probably be 25 ss (and my first with Raspi). My question is what to pick of my minions for my best option. I was thinking: Raspi Essence of Power 2ss 3 Ice Gamin 4ss ea. Silent One 6ss This gives me an 8 soulstone pool but I'm wasting one soulstone! Is that a big deal? I figured leaving out the 9ss Ice Golem would be my best option, and give me more frozen hearts for casting through. What are some veteran players thoughts? Also, what should i get to expand with. I know I want a second silent one, and a snowstorm.
