  1. Added the hair,.. next up, the bonnet. After that, we'll be adding the head to the model, then working on the long hair coming out of the pony-tail in the back.
  2. New Update!!! Went ahead and did the work. I didn't take picture of the step by step,.. but the process is the same as all the other stuff. Flesh tone, shadows, pastels,... add the eyes by hand,.. (I can give you guys the exact steps if anyone is actually interested) And I still have to do the hair in a color. But as for now,.. here's where I'm at,.. I hate taking these pictures at night because my camera tends to white-wash or discolor stuff a lot. But believe me, even if the pictures don't show it, the skin shading is fantastic. Anyways,.. enjoy!!!
  3. still being held prisoner,.... go ahead without me
  4. May be a bit late,.. got shanghaied into a kids b-day party *grumbles*
  5. OB>> you??? biased towards Gremlins???,... nah,.. never,.. *grin* Kevin>> they look really good!!
  6. Here's a couple of pics of the head before I get started. Not sure If I should do a step by step for this one, or just go straight to a completed shot for you guys,...
  7. Gel glue is nice for keeping it from running all over the place. Put a small dab in place and then hold the pieces together for 10-20 seconds. After that you should be able to let go. Then use a toothpick or other pin-like object to scrap up whatever may have squeezed out of the cracks. Let dry,.. and then check for any "touch-up" painting that may be necessary.
  8. Alright,.. got the major pieces assembled. Still got to do the head and wings. Decided to do the gems by hand instead of gluing in an actual stone of some kind. Next up,.. the head,..
  9. thanks,... (I just hate feeling groady),.. and the sour stomach thing is the worst for me. I can handle stuffy noses, headaches, body aches, or just about anything else that sickness has to throw at me. But the sour stomach thing sucks,..
  10. thanks!!! a little outside perspective always helps
  11. me??? no,.. sour tummy today. currently nursing a chicken flavored cup-o-noodles,..
  12. I'm at the point of needing to start assembling the pieces. But before I can do that, I have to make sure that the axe is ready. Here's a picture of my first attempt ever at free-handing a gem, into the center of the axe. I'm debating whether to do this on both sides,.. or hollow that section out and put a real gem (or at least a cheap red bead or something) in it's place. Thoughts??
  13. well Zac,.. you only got a few days left,. better get to it!!!
  14. If I go that route, then I'm thinking something more on the "purple-blue" side of things. Different enough to be noticeable, but not too stark of a contrast. And the eyes,.. not sure on those. grey? purple? green???,.. though, a bright blue might be nice.
  15. Alright,.. bed time for me. See you guys tomorrow.
  16. head it is!!! (ok,.. keep the bad jokes to yourselves,..) ---------- Post added at 09:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:35 PM ---------- which then brings up the next question,.. what color hair?? (also, I was thinking how easy this model would be to convert into a mannequin, coryphée or other type showgirl. hell, a little head modeling and a top hat, it could be a huge Colette,..)
  17. here ya go,.. I'll try to get better pics tomorrow. Or at least some of a more complete figure.
