  4. Your overthinking it. The purpose is an ability. Its just like slow to die or hard to wound. The purpose is not an effect, just an ability that changes depending on certain circumstances. I don't have book 3 so I cannot comment on the pale rider.

  6. Its not an effect. Its an ability. Just like his hard to wound. Only difference is it may change due to wounds/adjust purpose.
  7. The purpose does not end. You check for your purpose at the start of the turn and after regeneration. You gain the benefits of the purpose depending on wounds. No where does the purpose say it ends at end of turn. And because it is an ability printed on the card, you always have it.

  9. No. You check the purpose at the start of the turn after regeneration. Only other way to change it during the turn is the (0) spell. And that states if must be the first thing used.

  11. Not every tournament is a blood thirsty competition. I'm sure it would be a blast to run that list in a tournament. Hell, it might even surprise you.

  15. "dieting" and exercising at the same time is known in the fitness world as "cutting." It means your trying to cut fat while sustaining as much of your muscle as possible. "dieting" is a bad term to use with most people. They seem to think its eating nothing but salad and chicken. A diet is what you eat. You can have a diet of cake. It all depends on calories in vs. calories out. DO NOT USE BMI, EVER! It is a very old system developed by a mathimatician and bears no true telling of your overall health. Bodyfat is a better indication of overall health. The less you have the healthier you will be. And realize that genetics play a huge role in how much fat your body wants to hold on to without you doing some extreme cutting. Just look around and see those people that can "eat whatever they want" and never get fat. Or the guys (like me) who are extremley carb sensitive and gold water wight very easily. PS, I cant spell
  16. I made a post earlier about going to military.com and checking out the fitness sections of each branch. Give those a go. As far as building muscle on the cheap, sorry to tell you but, aint gunna happen. When you start working out your body will have whats called "noob gains." But after a few months those go away. To build muscle you have to eat a surplus of calories and give your body a reason to use those calories to repair muscle, i.e. lift weights. Im talking about real muscle here, not Brad Pitt in fight club muscle. The fight club muscle is from low bodyfat. If you want that look on the cheap, start loving pull ups for overall back and arm growth, and dips for chest and arm work. You may find what you need on the military.com site. Good luck and remember to do something you like so you actually want to keep doing it.

  18. Another eye method is to paint them as a "cross." Go left to right with white and a stright line down with black. Most of the Mali models are so small that this looks less cat like then a 40k figure would. The way you painted the eyes is great for a wild horse or crazy guy. Von badass is pretty much just a crazy guy. I actually like him with those crazy eyes.

  21. That sounds great Rage. whatever keeps you doing what you need to. As far as gaining weight, if you are serious about gaining mass (muscle) then look into something called GOMAD. It stands for gallon of milk a day. you eat normally (within a good diet) and drink an entire gallon of milk throughout the day everyday. Basically your injestine so many more calories that you can only grow. The dangerous thing, and the reason you have to be serious, is you gaining all of that in fat and water weight. You have to give your body a reason to add the muscle. Thats why you lift weights. Lifting does not magically make muscles grow. Lifting tears muscle fibers that need to be repaired. The repair part comes with rest and a good diet. Also look into a program called Westside for skinny bastards. Or Starting strength. Both are great lifting programs that are centered on gaining mass. Back to Rage. I was in the army for many years and it shocked me when I got out, the amount of grown men that can not do over 20 push ups in a row is astounding. Just like pull ups, the best way to get better at push ups is to do them. I would suggest you follow an army style PT routine. It focuses on calesthetic exercises and follows training styles you seem to be going after. Go to military.com and check out any of the branch (not air force,lol) work out sections and do some of those. They have so many routines that you may never get bored again. And you will feel like a bad ass when you knock out 80+ push ups in two minutes and run two miles in 13ish minutes.
  22. For models alone it would be Bushido or Helldorado. Infinity does not interest me in the slightest. I have no idea why it is gaining popularity in my area. I dont like the rules bloat that dystopian and firestorm have. Malifaux is probably the most complex game I play.
  23. Amazing Borzag. I went a different route and train for powerlifting. I love pushing heavy weight and being as strong as possible. Everyone has different goals and styles. I think the key is to make changes that become habits and things you enjoy. Not everyone likes deadlifting 450+ but I love it. Not everyone wants to squat 360+ but its a must for me. I would never train for a marathon. Different strokes. And please everyone, no fad dieting or calorie goals that are far to low for each day. nothing is worse then trying to go to bed hungry. And it is OK for you to eat before bed, Oprah isnt right about everything.
