  1. It's definitely not a hindrance. Usually I'll round out my crew with night terrors, drowned, insidious madness etc. Fast minions. Turn one you've potentially gained 18ss worth of models at the cost of 4ss worth of models, the shikome can move around freely turn 1 while the other minions advance, then turn two swirl the 2 onryo up into combat after you've easily out activated your opponent due to all of your free minions and claw their faces off. While they're dealing with them your night terrors are free to run around as you can pile on even more spirits due to the fact that Kirai hasn't even spent any wounds and still has 5 seishin. It's an oppressive weight of numbers that your enemy either drowns in or wastes all their activations fighting, which has as much benefit in demoralising your opponent as it does in actual bodies on the table.

    My first turn will usually involve summoning a Shikome then turning a Desperate Merc and a Canine Remains into Gaki/Onryo with Datsue, thus replenishing my Seishin and healing Kirai.

    Winning.

  3. The Malifaux case is ok but I quickly outgrew it. At the moment I'm just using a mishmash of pluckfoam trays I've found at gaming stores. The problem with getting a nice custom battlefoam case is the shipping to Australia, it's horrendous because of the size of it.

  4. Hi all. I'm starting to play Arcanists as my main faction, having had a good run with my Ressers. I'm only going to be using Colette, Rasputina and Kaeris, and am a little intimidated to be facing the guild quite a bit as they're the main faction represented amongst my playing group. We announce masters at the start of the game before flipping for strategies rather than factions, so that just adds to it a bit!

    I managed to narrowly score a win against Perdita last night with Raspy, but am not sure how I'm going to deal with Hoffman and Sonnia with their respective blast denial and counter spell, along with Sonnia's ability to target my master without LoS. Add in a liberal helping of hunter amongst their crews and it's hard to use the silent one to bounce spells through since to be able to see them, they'll be able to see her, and the Perdita and Sonnia players love their Nino.

    So how do you win games with Raspy and Colette against the Guild?

  5. In "indoor" locations (which include sewers), all walls are considered to be infinite Ht.

    Sonnia can't shoot over the walls.

    How does that work with elevations though? We've been playing it that all the walls of the sewers are just height two so anyone standing on the second level can pretty much see everything. Facing Nino on elevated terrain is yet another reason why I rage quit terraclips haha

  6. Maybe there'll be a 2ss scavenger model in the new book you can Scavenge with and then kill to get all the counters you need for a Teddy early and cheaply. Then again may as well just give Zoraida her own faction called the Neveressers.

  7. The other problem i have with the sewers and height 3 models is that there's pretty much nowhere to hide them. Most height three models have low defense and get annihilated by ranged with nowhere to hide. I really don't enjoy playing on the sewers, also likely because I'm sick of sonnia bouncing her blasts over the paper thin walls at me :)
