  1. @Erik: Are you using the same picture for all counters, or are the blacks a different picture? If several pictures, do the pictures have large file size (as in several hundred kB or more) or do they have strange characters in the file names?
  2. I just downloaded the latest firefox (version 36.0.1). That version printed the example .svg file ok (from the first post). Both text and images were included. With Chrome I also got black images, and should probably post a bug report to the chrome project somehow. Anybody know how that is done? Edit: I found out how to "Report an issue" from the Help menu in Chrome, and have done so.
  3. I made a 50mm version, which can be tested here: Malifaux Marker Generator (50mm) Let me know if there are any problems with this version. I think found all the number I needed to change, but you never know...
  4. What kind of image did you use (jpeg, png, gif, ...)? It's difficult to investigate without having the actual image you tries with. If you like, I could PM you my email so you could send me that image?
  5. I've been experimenting some more with javascript, and have made a new version with sliders for positioning and zooming the image. This version can be used for images that are not square. (Note: If the image is square and not zoomed, the position cannot be changed. I probably should add some visual feedback for sliders that cannot be used...) Malifaux Marker Generator (v4) What do you think? By the way, while experimenting I found that if you include several large images, the browser might crash when opening full sheet ! There seems to be a rather low (and browser depended) byte size limit for the full sheet svg file (around 1-2 MB). For me this limit was reached with Chrome when including 3-4 images with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. So don't do that! 300 x 300 pixel images (or similar) should be sufficient for printing. @Sancho: What size should these markers be? Should they still include the border with the text?
  6. Are the Arcane Fate Decks made of the same kind of plasticard as the retro deck and puppet deck, or are they cardboard?
  7. @Kotep: The markers are the same size as 30mm bases. I guess the images themselves would fit approximately inside a 30mm base, but I have not tested.
  8. Which file names did not work? Was there a special letter that gave the problem?
  9. Today I also updated the Malifaux Base Hugger Generator with the "flat color" and "custom color" options, so now the different versions are in sync again.
  10. I've updated the Malifaux Marker Generator with the option to make either rounded border or flat border (somewhat like what SMOOTHWD40 did), and with the option to select a custom border color. Btw, I have found that printing from Firefox actually gives the best result than Chrome when printing directly. For some reason, Chrome uses rather low resolution when embedding images in the svg file.
  11. Ok, I've made a "Base hugger" version with 6mm rim. I also increased the text size a bit. Malifaux Base Hugger Generator Is this something like you had in mind?
  12. I don't think printed base huggers would be very practical, as they would be rather flimsy and you need to cut both inner and outer edge, but I can give it a try. So, 30mm inner diameter, 3mm rim and no picture?
  13. Inspired by SMOOTHWD40's post Couple of downloads, I've been working on a SVG Marker Generator for Malifaux. There are lots of different markers mentioned in both Standard and Story Encounter chapters of the rulebook, in addition to generic Corpse, Scrap and Scheme Markers. Markers for Victory Points might be a good idea, and also conditions could be tracked by some kind of marker, both generic conditions like Fast and Slow, and model specific like Blighted +1 and Chi +1. But not every player will need all the different markers, wouldn't it be great to be able to pick the markers you need and then print a sheet of them? This Marker Generator fills a sheet with round images with a rim in faction colors. The size of each marker can be set from 20mm up to 50mm. Change the rim color and the upper and lower text on the rim, and select an image from a local file. Add as many copies as you like of each marker to the sheet, then start over by selecting a new text and image (and rim color?) for the next marker, and repeat again. Even though markers of different sizes can be added to the same sheet, the placement algorithm is rather basic, and every marker in a row should preferably be of similar size. The Marker Generator is written in html with javascript, and is pure client side. No images is uploaded anywhere to make the sheet of markers, and you don't need to be online to use it, just save the web page to a local directory and run it from there. Malifaux Marker Generator The link above works fine with Chrome, Internet Explorer and Opera. Firefox unfortunately work a bit different than the other browsers, and I had to make a special version for that browser. Malifaux Marker Generator for Firefox As an example, I've made a sheet with Scheme Markers for seven different masters. Download svg version Download pdf version Firefox has often been a good choice for printing the markers, as some of the other browsers have a tendency to print the images with low resolution. You might have to disable Headers & Footers for printing correctly. The browsers sometimes change behaviour from version to version, so some experimenting might be required. Remember that it's also possible to save the sheet as .svg (which can be opened in other browsers) or as .pdf (by using a PDF-printer, such as Cute pdf writer) to print elsewhere. The Marker Generator itself does maybe look a bit boring. If someone has knowledge of html and css and want to style it in a more Malifaux way, I'd be really happy. Please hack away! A few more points about the images: If the images you select are to large (in MB), the script doesn't work (do to limitations of data urls). See this post for the size limits for different browsers. 300 x 300 pixels gives about 300 dpi on a 30mm marker, which is sufficient for good quality printing. For a 50mm marker 500x500 pixels should be ok. Wikimedia has a list of free image sources (http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Free_image_resources), or you can use your own images.
  14. Can you add Arcanists next? I need some more arachnids
  15. How funny, Mikie, I also discovered how well CD pockets fitted to the Malifaux cards just about a week ago. Maybe there was some story on the internet that got us both thinking the same way at the same time? ... And this is how a statcard in a CD pocket looks like (before cutting, obviously):
  16. I have discovered that soft CD/DVD pockets (like these http://www.clasohlson.co.uk/Product/Product.aspx?id=164028792) fit perfectly the width of Malifaux Statcards! The CD pockets are of course square, so you would have to cut off the excess plastic with a pair of scissors.
