What is it all about? The aim of “The Tale of Malifaux Painters” is to help motivate those involved to start and complete their Crews/Bands in the next 6 months. The painters involved have made a commitment to paint and post, by the last day of each month, their finished minis. They do this each month for the next 6 months. Starting with their first post on the last day of August 2011 and finishing with their last post on the last day of January 2012. So we have this month, whilst everyone signs up, to collect, build, convert, undercoat and otherwise get yourself ready to go with the first work in progress starting in September. However, because people have real lives with exams, holidays, honeymoons, new babies etc, etc. They get one 'Joker'. For one month within the half year you can ‘play a joker’ and rather than post an update they can post "sorry guys couldn't get it done this month. Real life got in the way." But the other 5 Months they have to come up with painted and based figures. Even for the slow painters that should be at least 1 crew. A WORD ON PHOTOS 640x480 seems to work best OR use thumbnails Bigger than this results in the scroll bar of doom for many. Frequently Asked Questions Q : Am I too Late? Can I still Join in? A : No you are not too late. Yes you can still join in. Just post on this thread saying what you intend to paint. Q : How much do I have to paint? A : There is a minimum of one mini per month with the additional WIP pics. Most will aim at more. But one breathtaking mini will take a long time. Q : Can I include a short narrative with each months post. A : Yes. We love background stuff. Write as much as you like it will be read and enjoyed by many. Q : Can I drop out? A : No you can't, why should you?

Haven`t seen Kaeris before, looks interesting. OK guys, even if some of the first enthusiasm seems to have gone away, i hope to bring the next thread online on sunday, cause next week will be busy. Do you think it ok if i delete the names of everyone, who has not posted the last two months?

It is OOP, but they are thinking about releasing a new one. For more information look here, the boys are posting regularly and answer questions (and love to get some appreciation). Just got the graveyard and it is gorgeous!

Oh ..., SD-Card broke down, managed to get a little bit done and wanted to show you. @Geckilan: love those glowing eyes of "primordial magic". Very shiny teeth on that voodoo doll and personally i would put another one or two highlights on that skull.

Tried it out and can only agree. But since a friend of mine bought it, i think won`t.

No WIPs, i only managed to prime my Music Band of Gremlins. I addition i started on 16 TK Skeleton warriors for the Tale of Fantasy Painters, an oasis for Tale of Terrain Painters and another DA Terminator with 2 Genestealers for Tale of Board Game Painters. That is a lot to do, i fear!

@ Mydnight: love that first one. Very stylish even if the shadows on the coat could need some more love.

Oh yes, time for comments! @ aka hazard: I like those guild uniforms, good work even if the pics are a little bit… @ Geckilan: I stand awed! 30 minis??? And they look sweet even if they could use a little more light. @ Regnak: Seamus seems to be fun. Nice work. @ nightseer: love that style, one of my favorites this month. @ Rathnard:The guard is impressive, I think the Captain is ok, it is one of the … not so good models (?) … by wyrd. Those guns and roses (and swords) are cool. @ Stonedog-7: Yeah, flash is baaaaad. But they seem to be good, show us better pics! @ Steamhammer: The red tones are really good, but excuse me, it is another model I do not really like. The tots and the mature ones are great, but the young ones are necessary but mehh. @ Rorik36: The dreamer is nice, but the Marcus seems to be missing contrast, do not know if it is the pic or the painting. @ fishtank: polar night in Sweden? Those pics are so dark. The Guardian is stylish, alt LadyJ is on my list, the Judge not my favourite and the Gremlins … can`t say with those pics. @ SliderdF: Nice start. @ Cambrius: I like the Austringer models, but the standing one is really hard to paint. The feathers of the second raptor are far better than the first. @ WookieeGunner: The icy touch seems fine, the rest is hard to say. @ Bucket Monkey: Productive, the color scheme is fine but seems to fit those robos best. The are standing out of the lot. The NE Lady J perhaps needs a more bloody touch? @ Korrosion: Tell me about it, I hate to paint human faces, especially eyes. @ CubertFarnsworth: Like that alt Raspy and Storm is beautiful even if you are right, that lighting sucks! @ CRC: Dito, I like that basing, Miss Packs face is well done, the robos are technically good, would have like much more weathering (look at Scribes). @ Rotokultaxe: Verrrry nice, wish I could do him as well. Theoretically I would have liked a little bit more highlighting on the darker areas, they seem to be missing a little contrast, but that is criticizing on a high niveau. @ Scribe: Love it! Very nice glow effect

Hi Guys, sorry, no WIPs but an announcement. I have to drive my daughter to university and renovate her room. So perhaps the october-thread will be online late, perhaps october the 2nd, or at the latest the 3rd. So please save the pics of finished Minis for the new thread!!!!!!!!
