  1. Yeah that is the only thing that is different, but we thought that if it is unfriendly, then it would be an enemy....
  2. Hello everybody! So last night I was playing in our league, and afterwords fellow guild members and I were talking and came up with an idea that we must know is legal or not. Sonnia has a scheme which states she has to turn two ENEMY characters into witchling stalkers. Now we figured we could use the Lawyer, and two desperate mercs, and the Lawyer can cast his spell making the desperate mercs UNFRIENDLY, then Sonnia can turn them into witchling stalkers. Can this be done? Sorry I dont have all the names to the spells and such, but I don't have my cards or rule book with me.
  3. Yeah I know the one time I didnt have ANY good cards or soulstones is when you flip the red joker on damage... haha but it was a fun match lol
  4. Hello forum! Finally got the miniatures that I wanted to repaint clean and primed. I found that Pine-Sol worked well with oil based paint, you just have to let it sit for some time, and as a bonus, the room you leave it sit in smells great! Anyway I finally got around to taking pictures of my miniatures that I think are already 100% better than what they used to be. Enjoy and as always please leave comments on what to do better. Death Marshals Witchling Stalkers All together now! Next to get painted For a Friend Made this for the store my father and I play at, first structure I have every made.
  5. Looks amazing! Hope i can get mine to look half as good!
  6. very nice! looks really good, keep it up!
  7. Yeah I still have the tooth brush ready to go if i need to wipe anything off I just want to get out of class and start painting again! I wanted to join the painting league (Can't remember what it was called) where you have to submit WIP and then a picture at the end of the month but I fear its to late :/
  8. Wow that looks like a fun squad to play! Walruspride I think you will be able to kick my butt with this now haha. I don't know if Sonnia will be able to fight off all this
  9. okay thank you I will have to find it sometime soon because I painted mine with oil paints, but Pine-Sol is working. I still have a 4 figures sitting in it right now and by the time I get home they will have sat for 20 hours...so the paint should just rinse off.
  10. Awesome thank you! I really don't have the money to get anymore paint thanks to school and being fired for going to school <--- funny story! Anyway, I started on my 1st Death Marshal. I primed him with a thin layer of flat black, then let him dry for an hour or so, then started painting him with a flat red in thin layers. I have my second layer on and it looks better than ALL my other figures!
  11. Okay so its a little later than 10 pm haha, but some good news and bad news about Pine-Sol. First let me say that my father and I use an oil base paint called Testors if anyone has ever heard of it. It is really hard to get off metal (and fingers). Good News: After sitting in Pine-Sol for 9 hours, I put the figures under hot water and ALMOST all the paint came off. Now I say almost because I still had a few small patches left over here and there and the tooth brush couldn't get them. BAD NEWS: since this is OIL based paint when I did put it under water it spread the most amount of color around. ex. my death marshals had red coats, so after I got done with rinsing them off I could see faint red smear all over the figure. But it wasn't anything a little primer couldn't cover up So I have my next batch in Pine- Sol already and they have been soaking for about 3 hours now, but I am going to let this batch sit longer. I am thinking either 11 hours or 20 hours. It has to be one or the other because I have school in between. Sorry this is such a long post, but now that I have primed two of my Death Marshal's, I am going to start painting them. I have them primed with a flat black. Now HOW ON EARTH DO I GET A REALISTIC LOOK ON MINIATURES!?!?!?! BTW: I will be using all flat paints unless told of a better way! Thank you guys for reading and helping me out!
  12. okay i see, so pretty much useless for me... I really don't see myself palying ressers at all. So better luck just to sell it in the future I guess. Thank you guys for helping me out!
  13. Okay guys I have yet to open my Dead Justice Box and I don't really plan to open it (due to selling it). My question is: On the new cards is there anything different for that crew? ex. undead? spirit? little changes like that. Thanks guys
  14. Yeah I have no idea what paint I used. I used something called Tremor I think. I just use the paint my father uses on his crews....but his come out better than mine all the time..... wyrd...
  15. okay luckily for me I only have one figure that has plastic and I am not repainting her (Sonnia Avatar). I have enough figures to try several options, so I may take nail polish to one of my guys to see how it works. I am pretty sure that I am not going to try brake fluid on the fact that to many animals outside can get it and children can find it lol but I am hoping pine-sol works due to the fact that I already have it
  16. okay, I have a few questions about it if you wouldn't care to answer them for me please. 1.) Where can I get this product? ex. wal-mart? 2.) Do your models feel sticky after you pull them out? 3.) Do you need to brush the paint off or add water to the mix? 4.) How many times can you use a cup of this stuff before you have to refill? Thank you for all the help guys!
  17. Awesome colors on the guild i like them very much! I am wondering what colors to paint mine now.........*deep thought*
  18. Just an update since I don't have pictures, and for all those who wanted to know how this is working: About 2 hours sitting in Pine-Sol and I could see bubbles under almost every part of the paint, and some spots were back to metal. My only FEAR is that after I brush them off and dry them and all that fun work, is that they will be stickyish :/ So I am hoping that it doesn't turn out that way. Will let you guys know what the end result is around 10 pm tonight.
  19. Looks great! I (not a very good painter) am awed at the detail that everyone does on the figures! I am actually in the progress of stripping the paint off of my crews and going to repaint for detail and not just to get them done. The bases look INCREDIBLE! Would have never thought of it! Hope to see more!
  20. Okay thank you for saving my hands! I was about to brush them off no gloves haha, but I did add water to the mix a little bit. Going off of what my friend told me to do, and already at 40 mins, I can see paint around the minatures! but I can't see the metal, its like a thin cloud of paint.
  21. Awesome I am going to let them soak while I am at school tonight, so they will get about 7 hours of soak time, then after I brush, if there is any left in cracks it should be okay because I am just going to prime it black anyway. Thank you for that tip tho would not have used hot water
  22. okay pictures are not my best on here I always have trouble posting them on, but I will try. I actually got done talking to a friend I play with you has repainted several of his models (metal) and soaked them in pine-sol for 6-8 hours then used a tooth brush to scrub them down. So SINCE pine-sol is cheaper and I just so happen to have a bottle around I will be trying pine-sol first and if that doesn't work I will then try simple green. I will take pics of before and after, and will try like hell to post them for you guys. Thanks again for all the advice!
  23. awesome guys this is a big help but i might have to go with simple green just because of all the kids and animals here that could get into brake fluid, or detol over the night with out me knowing it. So i assume after i get this tonight i soak the mini in a big bowl of it then use a brush to get the rest off. Thanks again for the help guys!!!
  24. Real quick is Simple Green a Stainless steel cleaner and polisher like at wal-mart?
  25. okay that will work thank you once again ratty!
