  1. There is no question that the Rotten Belle has great survivability and when with Seamus, two lives. However her natural Df of 6, although suited Crows, it can be easily broken in many cases with a card played from a hand. Pending what Master you're running, Crows could be hard to hold onto and coincidentally may be more valuable than a single stitch on a Belle. Relentless? Two cards is alot. While I can see how it can be usefull in a situation where something needs to get accomplished.. You have to discard two cards and still have a hand that will ensure the Belles success in order to justify the animation. To take a Bench or Tear Apart a Master or trying really hard to confuse something are the only reasons that immediately come to mind as to why a Belle would need to be activated twice. She can confuse which is great! but a mere Cb 1.. ehh, it may be hard to pull off. And even so there are a number of ways to remove counters. So now we have here a Puppet with the traits of a Tank that can heal and doesn't really present any offensive threat. I would consider the Belle's role that of an aggressive Work Bench contestor. Run her in, burn her out, repeat. Only ever really expecting to annoy and not do any real damage. Only to distract. A smart player would see this and know that Belles are not a priority target. If one really needs to kill one, there are ways of bursting one down quick without a chance for any of its Abilities to matter. On Moldy Stuffing, Upon closer inspection I realize that in addition to granting Rotten to a Puppet, it gives it two wounds. Better.. but Masters cant pick it up and it calls for a 7 of Crows in its AD. If I where to make use of this Moldy Stuffing to beef up something else, effectively making a more formidable tank, I would no longer be able to Animate the Belle from my Scrap negating in its entirety one of Seamus's abilitys. (I always have Seamus in mind for this Belle stuff) so Im going to stand firm on my thoughts on the Rotten Belles. I like them, Ill run one for character but at the current state of the game I just cant seem to find a good enough reason to not replace them with something that fulfills this same role in a more efficient way.
  2. Everyone's favorite Difficult Child makes a strong showing in the Puppet Wars scene, coming in as what I and all I have discussed with at the Gen-Con tournaments and local games considered a ridiculousness powerful effigy. Where is this spirit when she's out in the field with Leveticus? anyway, The stats. AR 9 D 8 C 2 U 2 S 3 Disassemble: When she rips an adjacent Puppet and you discard you tear apart one of that puppets upgrades. If no upgrades you off the Puppet. Wow Range 2. Range is dangerous. Magnetic Personality: Discard a :masks and place Alice next to a Metal Puppet up to 3 spaces away. Talk about a strong set up! Alice comes relatively cheap for a Puppet that comes with a Instant Kill ability. Even Cheaper if you run her with Pokey Victoria. Her combat and upgrade limit of 2 in nothing to sneeze at.. she can be kitted for pretty much any situation and then has the stitches to stick around to get the job done. Then if some badass of a Puppet manages to take Alyce down, She turns into... Tattered Skirt AD 6 Abilites: AR-4 D +1 Really? Alyce drops a skirt that turns other Puppets into loose whores. They are easier to activate, they are so jaded their DF is heightened, and the price tag comes cheap for a measly 6 of any suit. Think of all you can do with all those heavies that are dressed for a night at the club. With no drawbacks that I can conceive, Alyce is an Auto include in any force I care to muster If she at least had the Rusty trait, an Achilles tendon of sorts, then maybe... No still an OP auto include Discuss?
  3. Thanks. Exactly as I thought it may be. I was wondering if at present having the characteristic did anything passively and I simply overlooked it. I originality and somewhat still think that the Moldy Stuffing the Rotten Belles drop are more or less a drawback for taking them. Let me explain. When taken with Seamus I can pluck the buttons off my Belle, send her to the Scrap Heap and draw two cards for my trouble. The Belle at this point is pretty much a useless pile of stuffing, but because Seamus is around she can be Animated from the Scrap at the cost of a Decay Counter and a discarded Crow. Ehh, so what? Her item is useless I don't need her anymore. Ill have extra cards in my hand that will most likely allow me to sew her back together and burn her out contesting and capturing Work Benches. What im getting at is when building an army, One should consider that they have a 8 item inventory that allows the imagination to run wild with possible combinations between Puppet and Upgrades. Seamus is a man who likes his Women a certain way. Why wouldn't Seamus run three Rotten Belles? Because they are simply not good enough. There are other puppets that fulfill the same role and do not have a useless backside. So for my main man Seamus.. I have to send him to the fray with Puppets that are genuine social outcasts. Samurai's with no masters. They are not pretty enough. So, Cool, This is base set and Rotten doesnt trigger anything yet. The Starter Should have included something that sets it off. Thoughts?
  4. So Rotten Belles drop Moldy Stuffing when they are torn apart. Moldy Stuffing grants something the Rotten characteristic. Does this do anything? I cant seem to find anything in the rules and haven't seen a puppet other than the Belles that have it.
  5. I won a set of Teddys in the first tournament :hidingpuppet
  6. I'm throwing down in both Friday tournaments. I decided to go to Gen-Con yesterday but I feel comfortable saying i'll probably take both of them.
