  1. For mine; I used plasticard (for sale sign) cut to fit, then cut some arcane symbols out of plasticard and glued them on top.... Check em out here (bout 1/3 of the way down): http://www.word.assaultphase.com
  2. I just finished putting mine together. While it WAS a challenge that could have been averted with a little better mold construction; it was nothing any modeller worth his salt couldnt do. Foot Peg: You need to align the foot on the downward slope and bend the "ankle" joint to give the model a vertical posistion. Zap-a-gap and green stuff gap. Leg: Dry fit and bend (pressing joint against table)until you get her legs spread (lol isnt that what every guy wants) but not too wide. Then pin, glue. and greenstuff. Arm: Here's where the problems begins. To get this posistioned "believeably" it took quite awhile. Eventually, I posisioned the shoulder with the peg almost poking out of the socket, and her forearm beside her face. This left one of the "hand pegs" slightly out of alignment, but bending the arm didnt look natural. *Pin shoulder & one hand, glue, Greenstuff.* Horns: leave curled for convienece. Drill sockets a little deeper. Use a hobby knife to "Sharpen" the blunt ends of the horn until it fits into the drilled hole. Glue one and LET IT SET before messing with the other. When they both dry, use tweezers to hold base of horn and slowly uncurl the horn to desired shape. Wings: I thought THIS was going to be the hard part, but it was actually very easy. Glue the pegs into the sockets and let dry. When DRY, hold the base of the wing against the back tightly and bend the wing to the desired shape in small bends, starting at the attachment and working away from the models body. Hope this helps.
  3. As far as I remember: 35 soulstone Zorida (voodoo doll) convict gunslinger Twins Candy doppelganger I played against: Dreamer/LCB daydreams teddy stitchedx2 ??? I have alot more choices now (god I LOVE these minis) and I have been "playing with myself" to try to get some of the tactics and rules "second nature". Thanks for the interest.
  4. Whats up dude? This is Kirby from the store.

  5. Had a chance to sit down and paint some more this weekend. Here's what I finished: ...and as allways; you can see more pics by visiting: http://www.word.assaultphase.com
  6. Holy crap! When I grow up, I wanna paint just like you!!! Seriously; nice job!!
  7. Hello fellas. Ladies. I'm very new to this game (only played one) and being a disgruntled 40k player, I love seeing that the parent company supports its offspring so much! A friend of mine returned from Adepticon so enthralled with Malifaux, that he gave me his warmachine SWAG to trade in on my first crew. After opening the Zorida box, I was so impressed with the minis, that I decided to buy about $200 more! I'm from the armpit of NC, and while considered a "Redneck" in my FLGS of Parker Banner Kent & Wayne (Cornelius NC), they still welcome me to play anytime. Shockingly enough, theres a growing crowd of crew runners there that I didnt even know about until I picked it up. Well... here's hoping for great games ahead!!
  8. After playing my first game (against another new player) and loosing... I thought my choices might preform better if painted; and then I got side tracked and did a few more. (heh) The bases were made from resin casts and greenstuff.... I'll let you guess which is which. I decided to go with the ever popular "Care-Bear" theme with Teddy.... with a twist. Introducing: Atomic Heart Bear This guy was a bit of a challenge for me. I confess; I'm used to painting "grim dark" and am not used to clean young skin.... or TINY EYES!! This "Swamp-Thing" was a blast to paint! I really appriciate all the small details, like the skulls and bottle. I was going for a swamp theme with the base, and while it turned out Ok; next time I'll go for the "deep water" tequnique. Super Juju: I dont want to bog down this post with multiple angle pics. If you would like to see more (and some cool 40k stuff I've painted) please visit my blog at: http://word.assaultphase.com/ Sorry if my blogging isn't up to snuff. I'm new to it and I'm no code monkey.
