I was having this same problem yesterday! I also bent the handle into a bit of a U shape. But I also found that (when the model is facing you) twisting the right hand towards yourself slightly made it fit to the flattened connecting area much easier.

Hey everyone I'm a brand new Malifaux player but not a total stranger to the miniatures. I bought a Nicodem box and the rule book almost a year ago because I loved the models but after painting them I never really got around to learning the rules and getting into the game. Recently the new rules manual and all the awesome things Wyrd has been coming out with have reinvigorated my interest and I'm excited to start learning what seems like a really deep game. I'm in the Orange County area of Southern California so let me know if you'd ever want to meet up for a game.

Hey, Ben. I'm a new player in the Orange County area as well, we should meet up for a game some time. As far as gaming venues there's The Realm in Brea, it's a great store and I've played a lot of 40k there but no Malifaux yet. There's also Brookhurst Hobbies in Garden Grove, this is my favorite place to shop because they have such an awesome selection of everything and usually have all the Malifaux you want in stock. Last time I was in there they said they were putting a monday malifaux gaming night together. I also just discovered a store in Fullerton called Dice House which I heard carries Malifaux but I have yet to check it out. Let me know if you ever want to meet up for a game!
