  1. 11 places remaining for the event. I've ordered the prize kit and a selection of other limited edition models from the Wyrd store also.
  2. More than half of the tickets now sold.
  3. The event is now 50% sold out! The Vappa organisers have also confirmed the list of traders who will be attending the event: http://www.yorkwargames.org/VapnartakTraders.htm
  4. 15 tickets sold now which is great, but still plenty left if you're planning on coming.
  5. Malifaux returns to Vapnartak once again for 2017 for the 5th time in a row! I'll be running the tournament again which will take place on Sunday 5th February 2017 in York. Vapnartak (aka Vappa) is an annual gaming show held each year at York and features lots of traders, demo games, a tabletop sale and a ton of other stuff. The event takes place in the Knavesmire stand at York race course which is a really nice venue for a tournament. The format will be fixed faction, 3 rounds, 50SS per round. That also gives us a good long lunch break last year to allow us to have a look round the event, it'll be about 5 minutes shorter this year to accommodate the slight longer round times. The rules pack can be found at: https://www.dropbox.com/s/fbm73x9v76xnpyo/Vappa-rules-pack-2017v1.0.pdf?dl=0 Tickets are £15 each, with the payment details in the rulespack. Please ensure you send the cash as a GIFT. Lunch is not included this year, or more specifically sandwiches are not included. You will stick get a can of pop, crisps etc but no sandwich. There are several food outlets onsite or bring your own. There will be a Wyrd guilder for every player. Thankfully Sam was able to fill in on full TO duty. The final total raised for the BHF this year from the ticket sales and the raffle and other donations is £475 which is a brilliant amount. We've done the initial donation from ticket sales, and we'll do the raffle money donation shortly (see https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/David-Wood59 if you want to donate more!). Thanks also to our sponsors OG Games (oggames.co.uk) and Bendy Boards (bendyboards.co.uk) for supplying us with raffle prizes (OG Games), trophies, tokens and measuring devices (Bendy Boards). Their support is enormously appreciated as always. See you next year, Saturday May 13th 2017! Chris
  9. Thanks everyone for coming today. Apologies for not being around much, I felt unwell this morning. We will share the full results and charity totals in the next few days.
  10. Ross already has a ticket, had another drop out earlier in the week he filed in for.
  11. I've had a late drop out, so there is 1 spare slot if anyone wants to come last minute.
  12. Just made the charity donation to Sam's JustGiving page (https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/David-Wood59), which so far means that this years Heartfaux has raised £218.75 (after Gift Aid). Hopefully we can add a bit more to that after the weekend.
  13. Prize find is looking pretty healthy now. As usual, winners in the event get certificates and/or trophies, everything goes in the raffle to raise more money for the BHF. We have a 32 player prize kit, plus my henchman welcome kit stuff: We have a load of Malifaux models, purchased from OG Games, York's number 1 games store: We have not one, not two, but three £25 gift vouchers for OG Games (oggames.co.uk). We have prizes from our other epic sponsor bendyboards.co.uk: Schemes are done, to be revealed on the day (using GG2016 as per the rulespack). If anyone wants a grudge match up round 1 then let me know, that can be arranged.
  14. Just two spaces left now, so if you're planning on coming get your ticket fast!
  15. I think at this stage we should be OK. I need to do a full count up next week, but if I'm short then I'll put the call out.
  16. Up to 26 players now, so still 6 spots left if anyone still wants to come.
  17. You will need to provide any markers or counters required for strategies yourself just like in a normal game.. All player will receive an official Wyrd poker chip, and possibley another commemorative marker.
  18. Thanks Dan, up to 24 now which is great. It makes me a happy henchman to see that 12 spots are filled by York based players as well. Anyway, we also have a new sponsor: Bendy Boards. Go and check out bendy boards.co.uk for all your laser cuts tokens, terrain and gaming aids. BB will be providing some of the trophies, as well as some raffle prizes.
  19. We have a new sponsor for the event:. York's premier game store OG Games (oggames.co.uk). 3 x £25 vouchers into the raffle prize pool to spend on new board games, card games as well as full range of Malifaux models.
  20. Top man, I appreciate it. If I own it, and it's painted, it's available for you to borrow.
  21. The previous two were fully painted (as have other tournaments been such as the UK Nationals), so I stuck with it. You've still got 4 weeks before the event to get painted
  22. Prize pack has arrived, hopefully I'll be able to add to this once I've added up my current cash reserves. All players will get a poker chip, plus the special chip for the winner.
