  1. Notice this last weekend with a game. Playing against Colette and my opponent thought she had a Mv6, but I pointed out on the card it's Mv5 from the errata. The confusion was because on the dashboard screen that shows all the models and has a stat line under the name, the stat line was still showing a Mv6.

I have not checked other errata to see if anyone else is affected.

  2. Every time I have to switch computers, the forum is saying my password is wrong. I have to use Forget Password and reset my password every time I move computers or go from computer to phone. I use a password manager, so I know the pw is correct, but it'll lock me out if I don't just reset from the get go.

This is only happening for this forum, nothing else. Anyone else having this issue?

Yeah with the faq you only get three corpses now. One for dying, one for RRR, and one for horrendous corpse.

That's still a crazy amount resources for not much effort. I'm actually thinking Horrendous Corpse could be changed if he ever gets reworked again. Maybe just cause a pulse of poison when the model dies instead of an extra corpse model. Still useful, but not quite the NPE this combo can be.

  4. This seems to be answered in the last FAQ. You don't drop a MZ with RRR - you can drop a single Corpse Marker. Yes the question is slightly different, but it still tells you what RRR does when a Mindless Zombie is being 'counted as' a Corpse Marker. You get a Corpse Marker, not another MZ.

But I'm sure some will still argue differently, so as always talk with your group.

  5. Not yet, though I really want that train station. I love the Barracks, but it's honestly too big to use on the table.

I got most of the Augusta set and that includes train tracks. I didn't get the intact Warehouse as I figured that would be too big to be useful. The ruined warehouse is actually pretty easy to use on the table.

Here are some pics of the Augusta stuff. Ignore the mishmash of figures - I was proxying.

  6. No worries! I love their stuff and didn't see a lot of talk about them. You'll love the Dunsmouth set - a lot of bang for your buck. They do take time to assemble, so just be prepared and go slow.

I have some of the train stuff too. I should take some pics and do one on those. The tracks are slightly more difficult to assemble than you might think, but not horrible.

  7. Reel In can affect any normal Marker. This means Scheme, Corpse, Scrap, and those 'terrain' markers like Pyres, Pit Traps, Pylons, Ice Pillars, etc. The Harpooner can use this action on any of those Markers.

Strategy Markers are special and can only be affected by the effects of models that are specifically called out in the Strategy itself. Usually this means an Interact Action, but could be other things. There are no Strategies (yet) that allow something like Reel In to affect the Strategy marker. It would greatly warp the game to allow this interaction.

There are some corner case things that don't directly 'affect' the Strategy Markers that can come into play. The most common is Seamus's Secret Passage to Place near a Strategy Marker with the Blocking Trait. Since Secret Passage doe not Target the Strategy Marker or other affect it, this has been commonly agreed to work. If it had to target the Strat Marker as part of the Action, it would not.

It would probably annoy me when I summoned things and needed to remember to backmark the activations, although possibly just adding the numbers 1-5 in the boxes might be enough

That's one thing not on there (summoned), though you could simply write it in the Crew box. Cool overall. I had thought of trying to do the same thing, but with an Upgrade card as I like having it with the models' card.

I am no expert, but I play to maximise "Why Hello Love". I put up his aura for damage from distracted, and then use models to do damage while throwing models into Seamus.

I find him tricky to find the best time to activate as you need to get his Urban Legend (and Alone in the Dark a lot of times) aura up early. The death of a thousand cuts is what he's all about to me. Then doing whatever you can slide models into him for as many out of activation attacks as possible.

As awful as the situation (where the rules apply the results of drawn lines of sight even though they are blocked) appears at first glance, I think this is being done to avoid the creation of inconsistent or exploitable situations.  And being able to arrange other models or terrain markers to block lines of sight and eliminate concealment would definitely be something that would be exploited.

In other words:  Because you shouldn't be able to eliminate the effects of concealing terrain by making sure that you can't see the forest, it doesn't matter whether or not you can see through the forest for ignoring it.  :)

That is a fair argument and one I can get behind as it makes the game better. I'm sold.

  11. I've been messing around with a tarot sized cheat sheet that is a z-fold booklet. I've tried to put things on it that both new and old players might find useful. I thought about putting the Healing/Damage Charts on it, but not sure what I'd take off. I could add another page and that would give enough space, but the 3 card size is a good feel in hand. I'm afraid 4 long gets a bit cumbersome. Once I have it the way I want it, I'm planning on getting a few printed off through BoardGames Maker website. Should be nice when quality printed.

Curious if I missed anything important or if anything really doesn't seem needed (and suggestions for what to replace it with). Tried to keep it printer friendly for this version.

  12. Even in this case, one could argue that since one of the lines of sight is unblocked, they both have LOS since the main rules states "If at least one of the sight lines between two objects is unblocked, the objects have LoS to each other.

That rule doesn't indicate that it has to be unblocked for both models for it to be true. And in the case you mention, there is one sight line that is unblocked (from the model on top to the model below).

However, it is a strange interaction of rules so best to discuss how your group wants to play it.

  13. I like his poison output over Sebastian, but Sebastian brings the possible canine summons and more healing with Blood Poisoning. It's a harder decision now, but Sebastian still wins out in the end.

If Rafkin were even one point cheaper, maybe. His Bonus is situational and not as useful as it once was, so often it feels like just a 2AP model with no bonus and he can't stone like Sebastian. If Swift Action were built in (or just reliable), then he'd really be able to put out the Poison. I could see that being useful in some builds. Or if Transfusion had a trigger to heal friendlies or damage enemies, maybe?

  14. For the first question it is very similar to flight, but the Desper doesn't have wings, so they probably didn't want to use it. It is slightly different, but not much. The disengage thing is answered in the FAQ Section 2:

    • Can a model that “ignores other models” when moving leave an enemy model’s engagement range using the Walk Action? a) No. Ignoring other models only allows a model to move through other models, it does not ignore other aspects of those models, such as engagement range.

For the second one, I'll let others pipe in as I'm not sure off the top of my head.
