  1. Hey everyone! I'm setting up a bit of a casual Malifaux gaming night the weekend before Breaching the Faux near the end of the month. I figure it would be a good chance for folks to meet up, get some last minute practice in with the scenarios and other info that will be used at BtF, and just have a good time. I'm planning on being there for games, as well as demoing for anyone interested. So far I've got one demo scheduled for 5pm, and I'd love to get more folks in on that game, or another game later in the evening! We'll be playing at Terracrux Games in Tacoma, WA. I'm planning on being there at 5, and reckon I'll be there until 8 or 9 at the very earliest.

    Yeah, I'm getting it too
  3. Hey everyone! We're starting up our 4-week Rapid Growth Malifaux league at Terracrux Games this Thursday (6/10) at Terracrux Games in Tacoma, Washington. We're looking to start things off nice and simple with 25SS, and be at 50SS by the fourth week. If you'd like to learn to play, I can run demos for anyone interested! If anyone has questions for me, shoot me a message here. Cheers!
  4. Hey everyone! Now that Terracrux Games in Tacoma, WA is carrying Malifaux, we're looking to host the first official weekend Malifaux gaming day this Saturday. What does that mean? Come on down and play Malifaux! Want to learn? Several of us (myself included) will be there to demo games for anyone interested, and we'll have a ton of demo crews available! In addition, for each game played, you'll receive a raffle ticket for a pool of Wyrd products that will be given out at the end of the day (crew box, etc). We're looking to kick things off around noon, and go as late as 10pm.
  5. Hey everyone! I will be hosting the first of many Malifaux nights this Thursday at Terracrux Games in Tacoma, WA. Right now we're focusing on getting a number of people into the game, so it's looking like there will be a lot of pickup games happening this Thursday, and I will be running demos for whoever may be interested. If you'd like to join us, I plan on starting things off around 6pm on Thursday. You can find Terracrux Games on Facebook, or if you don't use that, the address is 760 Commercial St, Tacoma WA. If you have any questions, please feel free to post here or send me a private message
  6. Hey everyone! Thursday is officially Malifaux night at Card Kingdom in Ballard/Seattle, Washington, and I urge everyone to come check it out! I'll be heading in sometime around 3:30pm this Thursday (as well as every Thursday) for some Malifaux games and demos, and would love to get some more folks playing the game! I generally have a few crews handy for demo games if desired. There is a second Henchman that is usually on site as well, starting around 6pm, and one or both of us are generally there until 10pm or midnight. If you'd like a demo game on a non-Thursday, let me know and I'd love to set up a different time for us to meet! Cheers, Ray
  7. Hey everyone! We're kicking off a bi-weekly Malifaux night at the Games Matrix in Tacoma, WA this Saturday, 3/14 around 7pm. There's a good chance folks will be there to kick off games before that point, but I likely won't be able to arrive until 7pm. Last time I met around that time we were playing until at least 1am, and we had the opportunity to play even later if desired! I'm booked to play some demo games this Saturday, but if you're looking for demo games as well, I can probably fit you in sometime Saturday, or we could arrange a later date to play. Cheers! Ray
  8. I've been diving back into Malifaux after a semi-long hiatus (Hadn't played since summer, started again a month ago), and am working on getting my Gremlins ready for Breaching the Faux (breachingthefaux.com). I enjoy tackling crews from a different direction, and running my Gremlins with Zoraida piqued my interest right away (Well, almost. Brewmaster is still my #1, but I don't know if he'll be out by May). That said, I'm having a rough time getting ideas on what non-Neverborn models work best with her, between Gremlins, Mercenaries, and WP4. Any thoughts? Hints? Tips? Just the tips? Alongside that, for BtF, each player declares a faction, and you make your crew for each scenario (mostly 35SS, 1 50SS). I've declared Gremlins, and have been working on painting Gremlins, plus Zoraida and some of the fun Swampfiend models. Any other non-Gremlin models I should include? Cheers!
  9. I'm planning on making it a regular thing for Tuesdays. If you're usually busy on Tuesdays, we could always work out another time during the week or weekend!
  10. Hey guys! I'll be demoing some M2E Malifaux this Tuesday at Nerdy Stuffs in Tacoma, Wa from about 5pm until 10pm. If you've been interested in the game, I have a pretty wide variety of crews available to try out, or if you are looking to get caught up with M2E rules, I can go through a game or two with you. I should also have Evil Baby Orphanage with me, in case you'd like to learn to play that as well! I'm aiming to have a few demo nights there over the next few weeks, and work Tuesdays into a game night for all things Wyrd. Last Tuesday we had four people show up, and I believe I may have snagged one or two more at least who are interested! Cheers, Ray
  11. That art looks wonderful! I would definitely be down for at least two decks, once this project is complete.
  12. Hey everyone, I'll be running demos this weekend at SteamCon in Bellevue at the Hyatt Regency. I'll be available from 10am until 6pm on Saturday, and from 10am until a currently undetermined time on Sunday. I'll have a number of painted crews with me that you're welcome to try out! Additionally, anyone who participates in a demo over the weekend will be entered into a raffle for a number of prizes which Wyrd was kind enough to donate!
  13. I started work at a new job this week as an order processor for a warehouse that ships out a couple hundred wine-related products a day. Now that I'm aware of just how much is actually involved in the process between sales and items being received, I'm quite pleased with how much Wyrd has accomplished with their GenCon orders. I know people have their complaints, but the length at which Wyrd has gone to keep people pleased (constant updates on product on hand, freebies, etc) has, in my opinion, been stellar.
  14. Wrote "Could you please include a picture of Abe Lincoln knife-fighting a shark in the invoice?" when I ordered my Malifaux stuff during GenCon. Got my package in the mail today, including this- This made everything worth it. I'll be framing it on my wall.
  15. We're located at the Red Lion Inn (on 5th and Pike) on the third floor. Sign-ups for Sunday's tournament will start up tomorrow. If you (or anyone) only have a Sunday pass, shoot me a PM and I'll see about getting your name on the list.
  16. Hey guys, Sorry about the short-notice post (I thought I had made one earlier, but can't find it), but I thought I'd do a quick shout-out on here for some stuff for PAX Prime (This weekend). Veskit, Ayezik, Breached, and I will be running demos for Malifaux throughout PAX this weekend, and will have a table or three and some demo crews available for anyone looking to try it out. Veskit and Ayezik will also be running a small 8-12 person intro Malifaux tournament. That will be on Sunday, 25SS crews, and some crews will be available for anyone just getting in to the game who would like to try it out. Sign ups are throughout the weekend, and entry for the tournament is free!
  17. Good timing! I've gotta drive to Bellingham on Sunday, and I can definitely justify taking the Kingston ferry to Edmonds if it will mean I can get a game or two of Malifaux in!
  18. Hey everyone! Starting this Thursday I'll be starting up a Malifaux league at The Game Matrix in Tacoma, Washington. This Thursday will likely be spent as a meet and greet, open games, and demos for anyone interested. After we discuss things a bit, we'll likely be starting an achievement league the following Thursday. Everyone should be arriving between 5 and 6pm, and we'll be gaming until people don't feel like playing anymore. Along with that, I'll be available for demos every Thursday at The Game Matrix from now on, and I'm always available for demos on other days if they would work better for you! Rage
  19. After spending so much time playing with my usual masters and using their individual avatars from time to time, I decided to make a list based almost entirely on augmenting someone's avatar form. I ended up picking Nicodem because I really dig his zombie-horde theme, and thought it could be an interesting experiment to see how many zombies I could put out, and exactly what I could accomplish with it. Right now I'm looking at what models would be necessary in 25-35SS lists. I think Rafkin would work exceptionally well in this crew, as he works very well with the number of corpse counters I will be going through, and will be able to throw out even more Mindless Zombies as the game progresses. Alongside Rafkin, 3-4 Canine Remains would work well for the theme. I'm not looking to kill them right out of the gate- they have far too many uses for that. What stood out first for me is that, while they can pick up corpse counters, they discard them when giving them to Nicodem, which means Rafkin gains a body part counter if he is close enough. In addition to that, Rafkin gains another body part counter when Nicodem uses those counters to summon his critters, or when he's making more Mindless Zombies. Lastly, while I'm not a huge fan of using them as walking corpse counters, I think a couple Desperate Mercenaries would do well with this crew. As a bonus, if I keep them close to some Canine Remains, Nicodem, and Rafkin, I should be able to get 2 body part counters out of them, in addition to the corpse counter Nicodem gains (Dog kills DM, picks up counter, gives it to Nico(+1 for Rafkin), Nico uses it (+1 for Rafkin). With Nicodem, his avatar, Rafkin, 2 DM's, and 4 Canine Remains, I've got a solid core of 22SS, with the remainder available to spend on minions suited for the strategy, opposing crew, or for straightforward damage dealing. As far as hand management, I'll be looking for high crows as usual, but I won't have to worry about saving cards for Rafkin *that* often, as he'll only be turning those body part counters into MZs a couple times per game, since it's an (All) action. Apart from that, he'll be running around preserving bodies and healing minions. Thoughts? Any other models out there which I'm overlooking? I've considered Mortimer, but I think he's just too expensive for a model which I'll just be using for a free corpse counter each turn.
  20. Along with the general Mindless Zombies, I've been using the Living Impaired, Guild Autopsies, and a few of the extra/unnecessary zombies from Nicodem's avatar. I also picked up some of the Chronoscope Zombie Strippers, but those were mostly so I could paint the nipple tassels. Maybe I'll use them as Rotten Belles. Or maybe I'll just spend way too much time enjoying painting them.. I win either way, really.
  21. Hey everyone, Sorry about the late notice, but I'll be at the AFK Tavern in Everett, WA this Tuesday with some of the other Bellingham Warhamsters, and I'll be available to demo Malifaux for anyone who would be interested. I'm planning on being there from noon until the wee hours of the morning, so there would be plenty of time. If you are, you can either let me know but sending me a message or posting here, or by looking for the guy wearing a Bellingham Warhamster shirt with a magnificent beard.
  22. Just had an interview in Seattle that I'll be hearing back from today (Friday). If I manage to snag it, I'll be starting next Monday, and will be available for gaming almost any time after that. I'm thinking I might try and run an achievement league alongside the campaign Wyrd will be running- It'll push for folks to get into the game, and also reward diversity and weird tactics, fun stuff, etc.

  23. Hey Breached, I don't think I'll be able to get a game in with you Thursday, but I will be there this upcoming Monday, demoing Malifaux and getting some pick-up games in, as well as playing some Infinity. You should also check out ordofanaticus.com and ordo-ludus.com. The first is a GREAT community website for all gamers of everything in the PNW, the latter includes the main forum the war gamers at Card Kingdom use.
  24. Hey, I saw that you're down in Oly and play Malifaux. Is there a group down there that plays? I'm moving down to Tacoma late this month/July, am already down here every week, and am looking to get a Malifaux campaign or league started. I'm aiming to run it at the Game Matrix, since Gabi's place doesn't really actively carry Malifaux.
