  1. Wow! Very impressive! Did you have much trouble painting the straws? I've tried painting straws for use as scenery in the past and they have been a royal pain in the @$$ to get paint, even primer, to stick on. How was your experience?
  2. I've always been more of a painter than gamer, due to my being a near-hermit and the nearest gaming store being more than an hour's drive away. But recently I discovered that a gaming store much closer to me has Malifaux gaming! And I really didn't discover it, it's resident Henchman found me and contacted me! So my question is... how hard or easy is it to learn to play? Without comparing it to other game systems because I never played any of them either. The last game of any complexity I ever played was Magic: the Gathering and that was several years ago. And almost half my lifetime ago I used to play D&D. That's about it. Just need to know before I restock my bottles of Advil so I have enough to handle the headaches from cramming a lot of info into my little brain in short order. :club: Thanks! Oh, and I plan on trying to become a little more active here.:trytofly:
  3. From Wikipedia (the complete source of all knowledge ): "According to Hippolytus, who called the first thing that came into existence the Monad, which begat the dyad, which begat the numbers, which begat the point, begetting lines or finiteness, etc. Pythagorean and Platonic philosophers like Plotinus and Porphyry condemned Gnosticism for their treatment of the monad or one." Sounds pretty High and Mighty but actually, I got Monad from a anime called "Ergo Proxy" which has several "Proxy" characters, one of which was Monad.
  4. Hi! I'm not exactly new on here.. but it's been a while since I've touched my brushes. I've finally gotten in interest again and have just started a mini and realize I gotta relearn everything all over again! Hopefully I can get some help here. I'm just now having trouble putting down a nice coat of black and I'm slowly learning which of my paints have dried up beyond use. I don't game at all, unless there's a solitaire version of Malifaux that I don't know about. I do have some of the older Wyrd minis, but going to hold off on painting them until I get back into the swing of painting again. Nice to meet everybody!
