  1. I don't know, in a lot of ways, all of that fits into the Wild Wild West/Van Helsing sort of genre. It's slightly more diverse than the other factions, but nearly all the characters still have very western looking costumes. Even Hoffman, with his mechanical braces, still has a 19th century rich-man look to him, at least according to the artwork.
  2. LOL, I'm not much ahead of you. I've officially played 2 games so far, and will now have 3 Masters as soon as my stuff arrives in the mail, with probably another 1-2 being bought in the next couple months.
  3. I bet! I was the one who came by the booth on Sunday right before you guys were headed off to lunch and asked to have my Book 1 signed. I could tell you were all dragging by that point. Thanks for still humoring me. If I can comment on anything at all, is that in the future, if you have limited edition figs like LCB, it might be best to set aside a certain amount for each day, rather than selling out for the weekend by Friday morning. Saturday is the biggest day of the con, and I would be very disappointed if I showed up just for Saturday and found that a vendor had already sold out of ALL their LE stuff. Overall though, the several times I came by the Wyrd booth it was always swarming with people, and was tough to move around in. That's awesome! I know I've been playing mostly Star Wars Miniatures the last few years, but since Wizards canceled it this year, a lot of people I know have been looking for something new to play. So it was fun to talk up Malifaux with them a bit and point them toward the Malifaux tourney/demo area. Hopefully got a few new folks addicted.
  4. Haha, yep, that's exactly where I'm at. I picked up LCB just for that reason. I'm not sure if I'm gonna play Neverborn at all, but dang, I seriously want the Nightmare LCB on my shelf. Speaking of your sig.....how'd you get the words centered with the images?? I'm looking forward to adding a few more Masters to my sig in the coming months. I've only been playing for about 2 months, so that's why I've only got the Viks so far. Eric and the team are doing a fantabulous job. i too started out thinking I would just pick up one thing and try to stick with it (picked Outcasts since pretty much no one at more store was doing that faction), but now I'm quite certain I'll end up playing Arcanists (already have Collette and might pick up Ramos) and quite possibly Guild (Hoffman...love those Constructs). Too much to choose from! But I like the idea of having a few different options for tournaments. I'd love to participate at GenCon next year, rather than just swing by and watch for a few minutes.
  5. The Mannequin is automatically included when you bring in a performer. And I want to say the performer was only like 4 or 5 SS. I haven't bought the book yet, was just looking at it at the Con. I don't remember the Coryphee's cost, but I think you maybe get both of them for like 9 or 10? Hopefully somebody with the book will chime in with surefire numbers. I'm still trying to figure out, once and for all, what the deal with Ramos is. Can he, or can he not, use the new Guild Constructs? I keep seeing conflicting things.
  6. Honestly, with just the book 1 stuff, I hadn't been all that interested in the guild at all. When I was first introduced to the game, the only thing in the guild that piqued my interest was the Peacekeeper. That, and all the other guys at my store were buying Justice, Perdita, or Sonnia, so I decided I wanted to stray away from the guild. I was REALLY interested in that Peacekeeper though, as I'm a robots kind of guy (mechanical engineer in real life, and like working on robotics/animatronics/etc.). So I am SUPER excited about C Hoffman. I've only been able to see Book 2 for a little while (haven't bought my own yet), but there were a ton of new Constructs in the book, and some of them are ridiculously cool looking. I'd already bought Collette to be my 2nd crew (first was Viks...only been in the game about a month), but as soon as I saw Hoffman I thought "Oh, geez...as if I don't have enough to paint! But I must have him!"
  7. The guild box sets seem to be very popular with a lot of the new players at my LGS. I started out with the Viks myself, and I really like the simplicity of their box set, since all 5(6) characters are mostly melee, and the triggers and spells aren't too hard to figure out for a first time player.
  8. Would Lord Chompy Bits qualify as an Undead? Or is he something different since he's dreamed up by the little boy? I only play Outcasts so far, but trying to see if there's a use for LCB other than just looking awesome, lol.
