Doctor Warlock

This was an Army Painter Can, and the first time I've ever encountered it with their products!

I believe in beginnings, and even though I had the dreaded "powder effect" off my undercoat yesterday (I ened up cleaning them with a stiff nylon brush then re-applying the undercoat from a fresh can). I've officially made a start! So my Witch Hunters are all cleaned up, assembled and undercoated - the Purifying Flame was mis-aligned so he had considerable filing/cleaning up (you can still see the scar on his right socket, I'm hoping I can hide that in the painting), and I GS'd him "into" the base a little for effect. I'm HOPING (Family allowing LoL) to get some paint on Sonnia tonight!

I generally only play skirmish games, I prefer the dynamic with smaller numbers of miniatures - plus I hate painting hordes of troops - I would rather focus on each miniature in turn. I'm looking forward to seeing how the game play works in Malifaux, the Card mechanic seems really intriguing!

Malifau Earth is an Alternative Earth, with a (no doubt) number of differences. This might be one of them.

Well, I finally gave in and ordered some Malifaux. The Witch Hunters set and the Death Marshalls set (plus various assorted blisters, Bayou Bases, Purifying Flame, Scales of Justice, and the Govenors Proxy) and (of course) the Rule Book and a Burgundy Fate Deck. I'm a weak, weak man LoL!
