now i have some extended time in front of the computer i thought i would give my break down.
I went with the aforementioned Lady J crew, Scales, Nino, Santiago, Executioner, Samuel, witchling stalker and, thanks to Adran, an Austringer. (you misremembered a few things Adran).
Game 1 vs Kirai. After my opponent flipped slaughter, twice, for his strategy, with treasurer hunt, it looked like i was on to a winner. The game lasted 3 turns, not helped by the presence of Jack Daw in the middle of every model giving evey one negative flips, before i was given the game. Ending in a 9-0 win.
Game 2 vs Victorias. Turn 1 was nondescript with both of us getting in to position. Turn 2 saw a little more action with some wounds being lost on both sides, though the loss of misaki at this stage probably hurt a bit. Turn 3 was more of a blood bath as i lost my witchling to a tirade of ronin (giving him his grudge), and my opponnent lost some ronin, a convict gunslinger and a Vic. From now it was down hill all the way, i managed to remove his crew by turn 5 and had enough movement to get to my claim jump and stake claim. 8-2 win
Game 3 vs Victorias/Von schill (Adran). When this match up came we both groaned, having played the same game before and having both helped each other maximise potential the night before. I really wish i hadn't lent him my spare trapper for the day, it is hard enough to deal with 1 mobile long range gun let alone 2. With Slaughter as a strategy it favoured my game style and ment that Raid was a must.
As always turn 1 was jockeying for the right position to get the perfect strike in turn 2. Though on my part this was for naught as i lost the initiative and lost Samuel before he had a turn of shooting. this did however allow my combat monsters to lay in to von schill, using up most of my SS to keep Lady J smacking him with onslaught, using up most of his SS to keep him alive. i had decided to a Vic and 2 trappers stay on my flank, keeping them at bay with an austringer and nino, while the rest shot up a specialist and librarian. Turn 3 saw the loss of von schill with a snipe to the head, my executioner, Sword Vic. turn 4 i lost my witchling who was guarding the last evidence counter, so i decided to camp a few people by the last token and then shoot the last Vic till she left my deployment zone. 8-6 win woo hoo.
thanks once again and hope to see you all next time.
