  1. It's basically Zoraida's only method of actually damamging anything though, other than hard-to-cast Obey's (Which can be ignored by high WP or Immune to Influence models in any case). I mean, she's a Master, she's gonna be nasty.
  2. As far as I know, the original target does keep the counters until they are removed normally. Don't quote me though, I'm nowhere near sure.
  3. I'm gonna go ahead and PM Sketch for a clarification, because RAW is Assets, but Sketch did say members. he didn't reply to the rest of the thread yet though.
  4. I am in love with NV. Same basic package as F3, but a lot more grey-and-gray morality, instead of "Enclave vs. BOS". Hardcore mode isn't that bad, biggest pain is food/water, ha ha. Bugs are terrible though- the worst I've hit besides the freezing ones is that Veronique won't react to me giving her the Formal Wear/White Glove Attire that's supposed to trigger a special coversation and her teaching me a unarmed move. :-(
  5. No, Ramos can hire any number fo MSU special assets, as if he had the Henchmen (MSU Assets) type. I believe. :-P
  6. As far as I know, "fluff" was coined opposite "crunch", to represent the story behind the game as opposed to the numerical facets of the gameplay itself. If anyone has a etimological history of the term, that'd be awesome to read.
  7. He'd be a bit broken if alyce could give him reactivate.
  8. take a canine remains. If it dies while levi's on the field, it leaves a corpse counter. If levi dies while it exists, Levi leaves a corpse counter. Either way, reeeeeeeally easy to make a Waif, all for 2 SS. Hell, if you need to, have the Remains die first round via Levi to make a extra Waif first activation.
  9. Those steampunk/gear bases they use for the studio models would be just peachy. Currently, one of the bases comes with a model free, but the rest are unavailable.
  10. Oh, and as for the bottle, I'd probably just greenstuff one up. Might be able to find one for sale somewhere though.
  11. Hmmmmm. Personally, I'd go with cut foam to give the snow-covered ice effect, but translucent plastic could also work for you. Overall, I'd seal it (Depending on the material, some foams melt when sealed) and paint it. Do you want more snowy or more icy for your 'berg?
  12. I've tried using that list, and using the Burn-out on either of the DE Train or the A&D is amazing. Recently, for Slaughter, I went with the following: Jack Daw -9 Hanged x2 -8x2 (16) Necropunks x2 -3x2 (6) Leaves 4 Stones for Levi. You rush Jack Daw forwards, and use severed ties to set up a model for Levi to murder in the face. You can pretty easily murder masters this way, even. Pros: Hard to kill, great damage. Cons: Few models, slow speed, bad coverage.
  13. I would say LCB is pretty close in idea to Freddy, yeah. Freddy Krueger is a demon (Or a man possesed/empowered by demons, depending on the film/comic/radio series/etc) based in the Dream Realm, empowered by the fear of his name. He stalks children in their dreams, playing with their fears, eventually hunting them down and sadistically slaughtering them. And the wounds that Freddy inflicts in the dream show up in real life. If you die in the Dream, you die for real. I think the difference is that LCB doesn't usually kill the children he visits, and there's no "die in the dreamland" thing with LCB. He'll just pop up next to your bed to murder you. Also, I'm going with "Linus" for the Dreamer's name.
  14. Wodschow is correct. While yes, you are "playing" with the cards in the dictionary sense no matter what you do, as it is a card-based game, you are not "playing" discarded cards in the game sense.
  15. I love using Necropunks, myself, along with Killjoy as a looming threat. A Rider/Teddy is great against anybody using Obey, though.
  16. Nah, more like older tha radio. "... and make me a damn sandwich, woman!" Is an oooooooooooooooooooooold thing. Just making fun of a unreasonable request. Well. That, or we're actually tossing Sandwich around. That could be pretty fun.
  17. I think that you get to determine the order it happens, so you can kill Levi or not. As I remember, you determine how otherwise-same-timing abilities happen by model in initiative order. That is, if me and my opponent have two models with the same timing, whoever has initiative gets to choose order.
  18. Listen. Easiest rule to debate is "don't get upset". No matter what your opponent says, no matter what they call you, don't retort on the same level. Stick to your original arguments, counter what actual points they bring up, and ignore any personal attacks. You look a lot smarter when you're speaking calmly and your opponent is shouting. Anyways, +1 to closing thread. We've stopped talking about counting cards pages ago.
  19. I talked to them at gen con, its a no-go.
  20. That was just terrible. I think you did it just for pun! Really, you need to add a little spice to your jokes.
  21. Personally, I nominateLalochezia, for the wonderfully mystifying-out-of-context baby-eating stuff, which, I've noted, has been seen in not one, but at least 3 people's signatures. I think that's a pretty good quote right there. But there's room for a challenger! Step right up, nominate a quote, and let the games begin! Winner gets his/her very own MYSTERY BOX! (Oooooh, aaaaaah)
  22. Ian (The OP) Uses Seamus primarily as well. Generally, he leaves Seamus (and Killjoy, depending on crew lists. But he really likes the big fella) back to cover his Belles as they zip around and do what he needs done. Overall, my plan for getting the most out of a turn is as follows: 1. Have a Plan and Do It as Best You Can. This means ha you need to have a goal in mind every turn. Are you going to try and engage the enemy and damage them as much as possible? are you going to try and get models to certain areas? Are you going to try and say out of combat and get good positioning? once you know what you're after, you need to figure out how best to accomplish that goal. Do you want to advance under cover, or just run all-out and get there ASAP? Do you want to minimize your own losses, or kill at all costs? Once you have a battle plan, stick to it. But not to the point of blind obiedience, which leads into point 2... 2. Build as Much Flexibility Into Your Plan as Possible If the enemy adapts to your tactics and can overcome them, you're hosed. Make sure this doesn't happen by always having a fall-back plan if your first approach doesn't work, and hopefully a fall-back for the fall-back. This doesn't mean you should abandon your overall goal, just change your specific method of going about doing it. If you keep getting shot to pieces as you advance, leapfrog into cover, draw their fire with decoys, and so on. If they outmuscle you, outmaneuver them. A battle is not a stable or static thing, it's a maelstrom of plans and secret agendas, with a good heaping helping of chance thrown in. But just because you can never predict the battle's turns and twists, it doesn't mean you should give up. 3. Never Give Up, Never Surrender Tzu said it, of course. Morale is he backbone of any army, and if you can take the heart from the enemy general, you've won. One thing I note a lot is the tendency of some of my fellow players to give up all hope of winning when things turn out bad for them. They just throw away the game rather than fight on. There's always a chance for victory, however remote, and if you fight til the end, you might jus get lucky. Of course, this doesn't mean you should throw your units into the grinder and hope to clog it with thier bodies. Following a hopeless situation to the bloody end is counterproductive. You need to keep your eye on the prize, and go for the big picture, not fight every single battle til you don't have any men left. This leads to my final point- 4. Don't Sweat the Little Stuff As a wise man once said, "shit happens". Relax. Just because something didn't turn out right doesn't mean it's over. If your unit takes a big hit, or dies without doing anything like you wanted it to, it's okay! Really! You can fix it later down the line. Don't let yourself get drawn into the blow-by-blow fights, you need to manage how your crew is doing, not your single model. Does you no good to beat that enemy bastard into a paste if six other enemy bastards have snuck behind you and, to put it into the modern vernacular for a moment, "pwned ur base, d00d". So overall, just remember four things. 1. Have a Plan. 2. Flexibility 3. Never Surrender 4. Relax! (It's a Game, You're Supposed to Have Fun!)
