i did something similar with mine - the base i made i topped it for detailing the cobbles with greenstuff, before this dried i pushed him in so his feet made little depressions in the greenstuff, its stuck ok so far ! take a look at the first picture here to see what i mean http://wyrd-games.net/forum/showthread.php?t=12958

for some reason i thought he had wings - only just realised its an extra set of ams !

i particularly like the sound of this from Kaeris' description: "(snip)a deep understanding of the fiery powers held within Soulstones(snip)" maybe an oppposite to Rasputina with fire based spells etc ?

haha thanks - the lab coat was actually my daughters idea - i was painting him up and she said "dad is that man a scientist ? and i had one of those PING !! lightbulb moments !!"

sorry for the late reply - been on a looooong holiday !!!! the wals were 2 thin pieces of plasticard stuck together, then i put a thin layer of greenstuff over them, then pressed on it heavily with a modelling file - although some rough sandpaper would give the same effect, then left it a bit to set before cutting the brick shapes into it hope that helps, if i do anymore ill do some stage by stage pics so you can see what i mean ( i say if its more like when as ive got some more spiders coming soon - planning on making up a couple of swarm bases)

thanks - i plan on using as much of the blue/brass on them all to give them a unified look, im planning on doing the axe heads on Joss in the same blue metal

this is my Steamborg: for his skin i started with GW pallid flesh, a very watered down leviathan purple wash, and then drybrushed several times with pallid fllesh again

i was very happy with the skin myself, i was a bit concerned at first it was too purple, but after a bit of work i think its turned out ok

got Ramos and the Steamborg done now: and heres a group shot of what i have so far: only thing im not too certain of is the eyes on the steamborg, was also a bit wary of Ramos in a white coat, but think he stands out more in his "lab coat !" am on with Joss now, got a nice native american look to his skin that im very happy with

Spiders are now done: and heres what im working on next - December Acolyte and Joss, going for a slightly different look on the Acolyte, as i plan on getting Rasputina next and probably go for a snow effect on their bases instead of the Victorian-esque walls and sewer !

ah now theres an idea..... hmm anyone know of a good mini i can use for little miss muffet !!!!

i was thinking of suspending one upside down, maybe on a clear base with a bit of wire to represent the thread going up

you could always paint Seamus like the Mad Hatter from Batman, or how about the Penguin ?

well ive finally got round to getting my arcanist started off, firstly some un-undercoated WIPs of Ramos' box on home made green stuff sewer bases just about to spray em and get started !

ive always wondered are the coffins part of the minis or base inserts ?

anyone have any experience of using one ? im thinking of adding one but a littleunsre how hell fit in at the minute - mainly using ramos' crew with joss

is there a description of how the electrical construct should look ? i was thinking maybe along the lines of an electricity elemental with some sort of generator in the centre - maybe like the electric monster from scooby doo !!

i really like the look of the december acolyte, would adding him in be beneficial to my force at the minute ?
