Can all Arcanist hire the Fire Gamin? It says that Sonnia and Kaeris may hire it but doesn't say that they are the only ones who can hire them. Am I correct in this assumption?

Just curious what opinion everyone had on which crews are the funnest to play and to play against. Trying to find some fun crews for friends to play that won't be overpowered or boring to play against or to play.

I think the neverlose always win cause a lot of their builds must have crews tailored to beat them specifically. Not a lot of other factions can do that. Plus the win or lose way the tournament goes means its easier for them to win. I'd really like to see disparity format for the next tournament. That way at least if you can't beat the neverlose you can limit their chances of winning overall by hording as much of the VP's you can get and suppressing their overall score. I feel the win lose format is too easy for factions that can easily grab more vp's.

Here is my first attempt at making my own Ramos Avator. Still needs a bit of touching up before its finished but let me know what you think.

Anyone have any idea why Malifaux Raptors go on a 40mm base while Guild Austringers who use a very similar Raptor go on 30mm baes? Just curious if it was a mistake in the cards or something.

I haven't finished reading book 3 yet. But if anyone on here has, is anything further mentioned in that book relating to this event?

Is this tournament going to be determined by Wins, or by Victory points earned in each game?

In the final story in book two is it Lucius or the Governor who underwent a change during the Event that they are trying to keep secret? A bunch of people in my gaming group told me it was the Governor, but reading it over I think its supposed to be Lucius. Am I missing something when reading it? Or just reading the conversation wrong maybe?

I've noticed that a lot of the avatars of stronger masters are not really that much more powerful, yet avatars of book 1 masters who are considered weak got improved. This may be an attempt to bring balance to the game. But back to the alp bomb build, it doesn't even make sense that this isn't fixed. From a profit viewpoint why make an army that wins really easily? It means that the competitive tournament players only ever have to buy one army to play. If things were more balanced and they played like other masters more models would be sold cause they would need more builds to adjust to different masters. Wyrd is losing money buy allowing such an efficient combo to exist in their game!

I think the original poster issue is the one I have as well. There are some builds that work well against everything! Alp Bomb for one. Or even the lure spam, not sure on that one since I havn't looked into it as much. Why should a faction be allowed to have a build that is universally good when everyone else is forced to adjust to every other master in order to compete?

I think my favorite part of playing Ramos is that if your up against an opponent with a really evil list that you can't really beat you always have the option of just destroying all your stuff and finding another game instead of sitting through the game till the end. lol

Looking at the pipe filled sewerish board I was wondering if there were any rules made on the really low pipes that they could only be crawled under by height 1 models? That would be a pretty cool rule.

As a Ramos player I don't see any reason why you would never take the avatar form. It makes up for his biggest weakness which is being way too slow. And actually gives him a chance to get his master specific scheme.

I posted the start of this crew a few months ago somewhere on this forum. I have since then expanded and finished this crew. So here is the group shot of my finished crew!

I suppose if a player really wanted to anyone could kill their master with their own crew to deny a chance at assasinate or slaughter, but Ramos can just do it easier and do damage to the enemy in the process, lol.

This came up in a game and someone told me I was not allowed to do anything that could kill my master... but I can't find it anywhere in the rulebook.... So can Ramos use his control detonate on himself? Or if he can't target himself can the Mobile Toolkit Control Detonate Ramos?

When you use companion and linked in what order do they go in? Like if I activate Ramos and companion the brass aracnid. Use ramos to link in something else, would the linked in model go immediatly after ramos then the companioned model? Or would both companioned models go then the linked in model?

Ok got the new book and am confused about the swarm together rule again. It says that the replaced model gets to continue its activation using any general AP the replacing models had remaining. So if I move a spider into contact with two other that have not moved and swarm together does my spider swarm now have 4 general ap in which to act on? And would this also include its Melee master? What is the correct way to do this, I don't wanna end up cheating my opponent.
