  1. Since it's only one more week left until it's Crisis, I'm going to post one pic each day from now until Saturday. This as a teaser for the pictures we're going to post, taken at Crisis. Enjoy! On the left you can see the train station and on the right you see the Guild's office, and in the middle you see the hanging tree; the first thing people see when they leave the station. Not everything was ready when I took the picture, so extra details have been added since then.
  2. scenery building isn't that hard, it just takes a lot of time, but the more you build the better, and faster you get. if you think you don't have the skill's to think of something yourself, just steal somebody's idea. And always remember, drybruching is your friend.
  3. Crisis is comming fast, so the updates will come faster. Here you have Yazza airbrushing the first building. The airbrush was realy realy handy for painting all the buildings. After a couple of hours we had all of the buildings base coated All of the houses have been put on a wooden board wich we stacked with crates and barrels. And we have a couple of buildings where the wooden part can be removed, so we get to fight inside. Here you have the houses with some collor on them. It took us 2 days of air bruching to get them all painted. Now we can go to the last step on the houses, detailing....
  4. Its monday so its picture time. Today we have a big update on the table. This is me, beeing happy with our progress on the table A view of the swamp, and the final position of the drill tower. Me again glueing sand to the table A litter glue and about 2kilo sand later we have 1 half of the table done Here is the second half before we removed the surplus sand A close up Yazza preparing the paint for the air brush Just a random photo of our progress An other close up And the finished result. Now all it needs is the water effect, and lots of flok. Here you go, next up how to airbrush 10 buildings in 2 days.
  5. Yazza's collection of HA molds is quite big, and he is even nicer to let me play with them but with mold 701 and mold 75 are the ones i used most. also mold 85 is worth its weight in gold. and mold 320 is handy to
  6. and somthing to get you guys motivated. the first part of the bill bord for "le boidoir noir"
  7. Glad to have been inspiration. Looking forward to seeing your progress soon.
  8. Well you are right about the LoS. but we rulled it so that a model could hear a model walking above it on the balcony. I talked about Perdite becouse she was the first miniature with a ranged weapon that came to mind. The idee would be that the model is firing through the wood at the model above it (the top model would get hard cover). In my mind it looks great. Perdita looking for the nephlim hiding somewhere in the town, she hears steps above her and starts shooting through the wooden floor. The neflin thinking he could ambush perdita takes some wounds ands jumps down from the balcony to fight perdita, only to be taken down by a last shots......
  9. Damn Yazza your a quick with your replys The roofs where a big time sink i have spend many a evening doing nothing else but glue roof tiles. There are a lot of balcony's in the town, and they are great fun. im just waiting for a chance to let my perdita, who is under the balcony shoot at the neflin who is hiding on top of the balcony. its gone be such an awesome cinematic moment.... And Kinder suprise has some of coolest stuff to use for scenery.
  10. Greetings all, First of i hate the fact i dont have an englisch spellings correction.... Second, I might do a tutorial after crisis, but the buildings are realy easy its just herstart stone some balsa wood and some cereal boxes. but if you would realy want to i could do a step by step tutorial. third, picture time. A WIP for our soulstone gin distillery A WIP for the wood cutter dude's house The town's statue The town so far, we now have the sherif's office, the station, the wood cutters house, the mad scientist, a general store, the docter/undertaker/butcher, our brothel (le boudour noir) and a rondom house. not on this picture is the new distillery and still onder construction is the noodle house. In the far left corner you see where the union building will come. And some sneaky preview of the first buildings ready te get some paint on them This is the back of the docter/undertaker/butcher. you get a hint what this men does with the people who die in this village..... credits for the idee go to sebastian who help us come op with some good idee's for the town. And here you have the guild house. With the added crate's and barrels the town is realy comming to life. Next week we will be showing the first painted houses......

  17. Greetings my fellow Wyrdians. Every year here in Belgium there is the Crisis miniature convention, and every year our club attends this convention with a demo table. We have done big Apocalypse trench battle's in the 40the millennium. We have refought the battle of the 5 army's from the hobbit and many more. We do this on a table that's as cool as possible. This year it's a malifaux table. We are going for half a western village, half a swamp mining facility with a railroad right in the middle. Here I will post some of our progress and work. Hope you like it. First some concept art for what we wanted the town to look like. We wanted to go with a town that was build over an existing ruin, that's why it has a stone base with a wooden top. here you have the concept for the guild house. here is a map of what we wanted the whole table to look like. We are planning to do a 4way brawl so we are playing on a 48" x 48" table. Here is the first house build. We used Hirst Arts molds for the stones and balsa wood for the wooden walls. The roof is made out of cereal boxes. this will be a random house This is the general store. And here is the Docker/undertaker/butcher (yes in that order) Here you have the raw work of our table. And the last picture for now is one of my work table, to let you guys see what a mess Hirst arts makes of my bed room.
