  1. Just scroll down far enough to TheBugKing's long post, and start there. There's 4 or 5 posts of really good tactica there, then you can decided if you want to read the whole thread.

    Model Use

Everything in Sonnia Criid's box is awesome. Witchlings ability to explode when they die means no one wants to let them close, but focusing on them will let Samael set up a firing line. Sonnia herself can alternate between shutting magic off and bombarding the board with napalm. Even if she's tied up in melee, she generates card advantage, and I hear that wins games.
  3. Very nice, and as another IK fan, I'd like to say I'm glad to see you didn't go any smaller.
  4. "Mine" "Why does it have to be yours?" "Fine, yours." "Okay"
  5. Boxes: Rasputina Ramos Sonnia Lady Justice Added 8 spiders, one Hoarcat Pride, and an acolyte so far, and my wife and I only started collecting/playing in February. I expect Marcus and McMourning (and some dogs) to be added before long, but I'm trying to get caught up on my painting.
  6. I hate to say it, but I can't think of any. You could try Mordheim, which is really just Warhammer skirmish with some extra rules.
  7. Sadly, I am totally inept as a sculptor.
  8. At the moment, this errata basically means that Search was restricted to Leveticus, as Ramos has no need for it. I don't think there are any other scavengers, though I'm sure we'll see more.
  9. Well, there's certainly a hat on that ronin, don't know if it's the same one.
  10. That Twilight Knight Pin-up is awesome. I want one to hang out with Lady J.
  11. In the article on sculpting the Judge, there are some pictures of the miniature wearing a hat. Anyone know if that version of the mini ever made it into production? Maybe as one of the limited edition figures?
  12. Isn't the Peacemaker the gun the guild totes around? The robot is the Peacekeeper, right? Whichever it is, the robot looks nasty, but it definitely requires you to have the cards to keep it going. Judging by the Steamborg from Arcanists, you're also going to have to support it or it will die to concentrated attacks.
  13. Play beasts. Now hopefully someone will come along with some real info for you. Not having played Marcus, but repeating info that's already on the board here, his box is good, and he can also run Silithids well. His strength is mostly speed, and keeping his crew moving is important. Myranda and the Cerberus, in particular, are really good.
  14. I hate to break it to you, but those are the cheap ones. Some of them I'd even call dirt cheap. A high-quality O gauge train engine (not set, just engine) from Lionel (big name in trains) can run as high as $1,200.00 or more. You get a lot of fancy computerized gadgetry for that 1K, but still. OP: I second the bargain bin at Target, that's your best bet.
  15. Right, to hit, my bad. As for Nino, I guess keep the spiders scattered, so they have higher defense and provide multiple targets. I don't have any real players around here, so I haven't really had a chance to try anything with this.
  16. Soft cover is key. Make them take the negative flip to damage to prevent cheating.
  17. I'm at 8 spiders and two swarms already, and I've only been playing for a month. It's frightening how quickly it happens.
  18. Well, with Arcanists being my main faction, I don't really want another caster-type master. I think I like McMourning. His spells are good, the Body Part thing is amusing, and I really like his model. I may wait a bit until his dogs come out though. I suppose if I wait too long, I may have other masters to consider.
  19. I'm considering picking up a Res box at some point, but I can't decide whether I'd like to try McMourning or Seamus. I'd like a balanced master, which is why I shy away from Nicodem, but it looks like Seamus is melee/shooting and McMourning is melee/casting. Any thoughts appreciated.
  20. :mcmourning"Stand back! I'm going to try SCIENCE!"
  21. I believe it was indeed the Zuzzy mats, from the look of them. Thanks very much. The terrain guy looks good, but I'm trying to avoid a flocked table. They are inevitably messy.
  22. Yes, the ones that leave out entire sections of the actual rulebook, requiring you to basically learn the game two separate times. For the same price as those, you can get 2 Malifaux boxes and the complete, color, illustrated rulebook with all the model stats and everything in it. I happen to enjoy Warmachine (and Hordes) but let's have no more of that snark now.
  23. Okay, this is a bit of a long shot. At Templecon, the tournament tables had rubber mats laid on them which were textured and just generally awesome. I didn't actually get one while I was there, but I want one. Does anyone know who made them? Or something similar? I Googled a bit, but I wasn't having any luck.
  24. No rules inserts, and nothing downloadable that I'm aware of, so someone needs to have access to a book. As a comparison, though, 2 boxes + rulebook is about the same price as 2 Warmachine boxes.
