  1. Bite of Winter is an arua irrc, which means the model that casts it cannot get the benefit from it
  2. Firstly, Wasting followed by unmaking does 8 wounds on an 8-9 wound model. Since my main hurdle is Seamus and his Belles, that means 3 turns to kill Seamus, or 2 if a Belle has lost 1 wound. Secondly, how do you have Leve running up the field, Waif springboarding, and keep Alyce in range AND use Rapid Fire? Summoning Leve back next to Alyce just means that, if I lose the Initiative, they'll step behind a building and I'll lose both of their damage outputs. Honestly, I've had a lot less success than you with her, if she's any good at all. Even after reincarnation and deaths lessons, with a decent set of cards in hand, she rarely seems to do any damage. As I said, I've only had the chance to do 1 headshot. Another problem occurs when taking into account my metagame (I didn't expect you to know this, don't worry), in that Seamus doesn't care, just uses his (0) action to re-raise the Belle I kill (and I'll rarely kill more than 1, especially ive Leve's spent a turn being mediocre), Raspy makes soft cover so I can't cheat, Pandora hides the only things that arn't either massively high Df or Pandora herself. Which leaves Lillith's lot as the easiest to get it off on, and even then the extra cards and 6 Df each makes it hard. The extra cards help me ensure I reach my cap of 6, they don't extend it. Even with 8 cards and Deaths Lessons, you can't have Leveticus doing multiple unmakings and Alyce doing headshots without being extremely lucky. Assuming Leve's mediocrity requires 7-10's, chances are his 2 spells won't be those, so youll need to cheat them. Then Death's Lessons, then Alyce's Rapid Fire requires a discard and 3 good rams. Even if you're lucky enough to get one in Death's Lessons, you're still requiring 4 relatively high, specific suit cards per turn. That's just not feasable. I have been letting him die up till now, and my group have suggested not letting him die to keep that extra AP. And I think you're overestimating Death's Lesson's tbh. Assuming your 8 cards drawn before and though Leve's turn are four 2's and 4 6's, you've still got a 1 in 3 chance of getting a 10+, and a 1 in 12 of a specific suit. That only gets worse when you do flip or draw high cards. From my experience, Death's Lessons, 9/10 times, gives me a good enough card for any of his 1suit spells, and, maybe once a game, the suit I need for something to happen. While it's good, It's not godlike, from my experience atleast.
  3. It's ambiguous, as the Summoning rules themselves say they gain slow till the end of the turn. Either way, it's been/is going to be clarified. So we don't need it pointed out, especially not that my clarification of a completely irrelevant word is wrong. Can we focus on the question I asked before devolving into asinine pedantry? As for Leveticus' AP, I find it too limited. I tend to be forced to keep my Hollow Waif(s) out of range, meaning I'm forced to use atleast Necromantic Sacrifice, more often than not a second Walk action, to even be in range. This is because my opponents are either fast enough to threten my Hollow Waif if it's too close (Lillith, Pandora), or can send one cheapy Belle round the flank, ready to lure it out the second it gets close enough to be useful. The lack of AP then seriously limits his damage. Unnatural Wasting is a safe bet, but only reliable if you have a high crow/tome in your hands/are willing to risk Leveticus being slaughtered again by using Death's Lessons (I find that, more often than not, I have to sacrifice good cards to keep him with a "safe" buffer of wounds to prevent a second consecutive slow turn). Even then, it seems so easy to resist, with most worthwhile targets having a massive defence or being part of a gang that draws so many cards they can barely hold them. Necrotic Unmaking, his only other damaging spell (aside from Desolation, but that's even harder to get working, I've found) is a 16 to cast, and only does 3 wounds. That means, when slowed, at best, Leve will do 6 wounds. From what I've found, most Masters can easily put out 6 wounds an action. The rest of my list isn't very effective either. Alyce has done 4 wounds over 10+ games, one successful headshot. My Flesh Constructs used to be good, but now they're just baited across the field. The SPA's/Desolation Engine is very polar for me, either it survives past turn 1 and will give me the chance to win, or will die turn 1 and leave me screwed.
  4. I saw Wierd mention that, in the new Erratta, they're going to be making it clear that summoned models maintain Slow until their next activation. This ensures Leveticus will keep slow after he's been brought back by a Hollow Waif. Personally, I'm struggling to even pose a threat now, as my typial list (involving SPA's and Flash Constructs) doesn't generate the cards I need to even keep the Flesh's rolling, let alone have any chance at staying alive. And the damage hit on Leveticus is massive. So, any tips/ideas on how to play with Leveticus being almost constantly slow?
  5. He usually targets the Viks, Bishop or the Ronin first, as he knows they're relatively squishy. He tends only to lure the gun Vik, especially if she's not going to be going through terrain or has already activated: This ensure's the swor'd vik's out of the 6" companion range. Between Shriek, the Flintlock and Self Mutilate, I tend to lose the model he lure's almost straight away. I do try to concentrate my attacks, It's just not always easy as I only tend to have one or two models left to concentrate with by time I get into combat. As for scenario's we always try to do them. As of yet, it's been Reconoiter for me, Treasure Hunt for him all but once. I'll try with Hans, later today hopefully. Thanks for the tips!
  6. My most common opponent plays a Seamus list, and always grinds me into the dirt. He plays: Seamus Sybelle 3 Belles Punk Zombie I've been playing: Viks Taelor Johan Bishop/ Convict Gunslinger and Ronin I can't contend with his luring: Sybelle and Seamus are damaging enough to decimate anyone apart from Taelor and Johan, who he just ignores because they're relatively slow. I can't stay out of his range due to the constant barrage of lures that are damn near impossible to resist (the usual targets only have Wp 5 or 6, meaning a Belle's lure can't be stopped without a soulstone if she flips a 12), and once they've gone off I'm in range of the shooting. I tend to advance flankwise: The Viks on one, the others on the other side, with the gun Vik taking slightly more dangerous routes because that allows me to leapfrog sword Vik into combat with Sisters in Battle. I target Sybelle and the Punk Zombie first: a good round of combat will kill either and leave him with only Seamus as his damage dealer. Assuming I'm in combat, I can cope with that. I still get destroyed each and every game. Any advice?
