  4. It seems like they all balance out in the end with the lower point crews getting more soul stones.

  6. Thank you for coming down today Keltheos and clearing up some of the rules for us. I think we all had a blast and got a few more players on board.
  7. Do you think people who are involved in a regular gaming group would be more encouraged to paint even if it was a slow process? I'm happy just to play the game, but even semi painted models offer a more enriching experience.
  8. That gives me a good idea. I think I'll have a painting/Demo event the week before any tournaments.
  9. If a player is new to the game then there is some understanding of why they dont have a painted army. As time goes on the army should show some progress, maybe a base coat after a month, then off to one color here, and one color there, after about a year they should at least have all the colors in the right spaces if they play with those models on a regular basis. No one is expecting everything to turn out studio quality but at least have sense of progress. Just get the colors in the right places.

  11. Wow those bases look great, and they aren't that expensive either.
  12. Drangonlady, if you're looking for someone for the next con I'll be up to the task. I've got 2 painted sets and am very familiar with the rules. We'll talk as the next con gets closer.
  13. The metal box and magnets looks promising. I am defiantly going to look into this.
  14. Game Empire is a local hub of gaming in San Diego, ask for Ross.
  15. Very nice. I like the vibrant colors.
  16. Netflix is wonderful for stuff like this. I wish my dad produced a movie where I was the star. It would be a cross between "Stand and Deliver" and "Beverly Hills Ninja" called "Fat Karate Cholo teacher" :ridinghor
  17. I just got my models assembled and primed. I'm going to play a few games this weekend at my LGS where several people are itching to see the book and get a chance to play.
  18. Thanks for all the advise. I didn't have my book with me at the time I was looking at the web store.
  19. I was looking through the store and I saw that they had Samurai Punk Zombies. Are there rules somewhere for these models? If so I would love to add these guys to my game.
  20. True, but it seems that some are taking it as an opportunity to lower the points cost of games heading back toward the skirmish levels of the olden days (350 point games). I think games like Malifaux are a good reason for this trend.
  21. It seems to me as though people want to get into a game with low buy in, easy to follow rules , and quick to play. Malifaux is defiantly that type of game, Privateer seems to be making that transition back to smaller games and simplified rules with the release of MkII.
